Her brown orbs scanned thoroughly from picture to picture as the lamp placed beside her bed was the only source of lighting illuminating in her room.

The memories replayed in her head and she tried so hard to grasp onto any information that'll help with what she was looking for.

But it all seem to slowly slip through her fingertips.

She brought her hands up to both sides of her head as she closed her eye's shut.

Brown hair and brown eye's.

The only other features she remembered from the dead little girl.

The exact same other features Amber and Lea, herself had when they were younger.

Her hands fell back onto the book as she groaned in frustration.

'There has to be something different about her.'

All Ramsey children had different qualities. Like for instance, Lea's features such as her eye's, nose, lips are small. Amber's are quite the opposite.

Of course you can tell the major difference between the two now that Amber dyed her hair blonde.

Lea flipped to the next page and that's when she spotted something. Something that'll own up to potential.

It was a picture of Lea's third birthday party. Her parents did a block party for the little girl to invite all neighbor's, family and friends.

There was a wooden bench with desserts such as cupcakes, fruits, cookie brownies and her very own birthday cake.

Lea was on the bench and on her knees, leaning foward to blow out her candles with little Amber smiling beside her.

But on the opposite side, it was the end of the picture. The picture was too small to fill up the plastic that it could easily slip out.

She pulled out the picture and observed it a bit more. Her gaze trailed to that opposite of little Lea and noticed a little piece of the picture cut at the corner just hanging by a thread.

She swallowed deeply while pursing her lips.

She placed the photo on her beside table and flipped to the next page. Lea leaned her head forward out of curiosity when she saw a picture of Lea and Amber walking in the woods, holding hands. But noticed Amber was holding someone else's hand.

'I knew it.'

Her entire body jumped at the loud sound of her ringtone blaring through her quiet room- maybe even the entire house.

Without looking at the caller, she answered it. ''Hello?''

''Hey, Lea?''

A tiresome smile crept upon her lips with a quiet chuckle erupting.

''Hayden, it's like two in the morning.''

''Lea I need you. I-I'm at Liam's house and I'm freaking out.''

''Listen it's natural to be scared when you're about to share you're first time with someone. Just make sure to have protection'' Lea reassures calmly.

''No-no that's not it at all. Liam told me about werewolves and dread doctors actually existing and I know that sounds crazy but something's happening to me an-and I really need a friend'' She rambled, twisting her words around nervously.

Lea threw the photo album and her sheets aside and dashed to her closet to get her converse.

''Hayden, tell me the adress. I'm on my way.''

''Liam Dunbar, you truly are one hell of a dumbass.''

Lea now stood in Liam's room, wearing nothing but a tank top, shorts and her black and white converse with Stiles, Scott and Liam standing by.

They stood in front of his bathroom door, where Hayden decided to lock herself in.

''She had to know!'' He exclaims, immediately in defense.

''You could've been a little more subtle before you decided to wolf out right in front of her face'' Lea spat back.

''Guys, Hayden'' Scott reminded to end the bickering between the two younger teens.

Lea sighed and took a step closee to the door. ''Hayden, it's Lea. You gotta open the door, none of us can't help you if you don't open the door.''

It was quiet on the other side.

''Hayden there is way more to this that you need to know. It may seem scary at the moment but it'll only get worse if you don't let us in.''

Lea still got no response in return. ''I'll knock the door down if you don't open it. We have to know you're alright.''

She took a step back, positioning herself incase she has to use her foot when the door slowly crept open.

Lea stood properly and turned to the others behind her. Scott opened the door the rest of the way.

Lea's heart dropped once she saw Hayden with extended claws and fangs, her eye's glowing like the color of a beta.

Hayden looked at everyone around her with fear written all over her. ''I believe you. All of you.''

Scott drew out his map of the twon, Beacon Hills itself.

''Back to telluric currents?''

''If The Dread Doctors didn't like coming into Eichen House because of them, maybe we can use them to protect Hayden''

''Okay, so besides Eichen where's the strongest convergence?''

Scott landed his pointer finger on top of the designatedd design of Beacon Hills Public High School. ''You're standing on it.''

''You wanna hide her in the high school? For how long?''

''We have to. All night.''

Stiles turned to Lea, pointing down at her because of their major height differences. ''Is that where you come in?''

Her eyebrows jumped as a smirk grew on her lips. ''I'm gonna try and convince Hayden to not say anything to Clark just yet. Plus she's working a double tonight, as of right now she thinks Hayden's gonna spend the night at my house.''

Whereas Lea's family think she's spending the night at Hayden's.

''But it's a school though, you know it's not exactly a fortress.''

Lea turned to Scott as he started to explain. ''Lydia's got an idea for that. Remember how Valack quoted Telsa?''

''Frequency, vibration.''

''She thinks that he wasn't saying that just to sound smart. She thinks maybe it was a clue.''

''To do what?''

Lea's once leaned position straighten at realization. ''To disrupt the frequency.''

Scott continued. ''Parrish took the three cell phone jammers from the station. Thinks he can broaden their range of frequency. It's a long shot, but it's the best we got right now.''

Lea dropped her bag in between her legs and took out the photo album she was still searching through.

She may be stuck being on body gaurd duty for Hayden but she was sure to find answers for herself.

Hayden, Liam, Lydia, Scott and Lea stood in the boy's locker rooms while Malia stood in the halls and Parrish stood outside the main building.

''Why'd you bring that?''

She didn't have to look up to know that Scott was sitting right next to her.

''Why should I tell you? Last time I checked I made it very clear that I didn't wanna be bothered with any of you'' She hissed, opening up the album to where she last was.

''Then why are you here?''

Her lips pursed, slowly getting annoyed by his presence and it's only been thirty seconds. ''Because of Hayden. She's the first real friend I've made since I moved here and I wanna make sure that she's safe.''

Scott soften at this. He had to admit, he wasn't too trusting when it came to this girl.

''Have you told Hayden yet? That you're a hunter?''

She exhaled audibly and slammed the giant book shut. Those two pictures were the only clues she had.

''When everything is alright, when everything's normal in my life and her's, then I will tell her what I am.''

Scott narrowed his eye's. ''You do realize that you two will never have a normal life, no matter how hard you try? This follows you around until the day you die, why can't you just accept that?''

She closed her eye's shut at his words. She knew they were true but she desperately didn't wanted to believe any of it.

''That's the hard part Scott. I don't want to accept it.''

Little did the two know that Liam was listening in on the whole conversation while he stood at the sink with Hayden.

Scott stood and walked away, though Lea didn't care enough to bother why.

She felt utterly bored without using her phone to pass time.

Hours have passed and Lea's mind had still pressured with that one memory that seemed to haunt her every second of every day now.

''Would you rather, be on the cast of The Walking Dead or Finding Carter?'' Lydia asks her spite of the boredom.

The two have been playing this game for five minutes and while everyone else finds they're game amusing, Lea wasn't.

This game lead to the point of suicide.

''The Walking Dead. Mostly so I can die and not have to continue this game.''

Lydia's amused smile slowly formed into a pout. ''Prude.''

''Lea, you didn't have to come if you didn't want to'' Hayden told her, her head resting against Liam's shoulder while the two leaned against a set of lockers.

''Hayden, being here isn't the problem.''

Liam chimed in. ''Then what is?''

She looked back at the two and was about to speak when something caught her attention.

At the corner of her eye she saw a duffle bag sitting on an empty bench.

Everyone else pretty much caught her drift. ''Lea it's just-''

She didn't give Scott enough time to explain because she dashed towards the bag and zipped it open.

''Chains.''

She picked up the heavy metal and turned to them all. ''Why is there chain's in this bag?''

''We brought them just incase..''

Her eyebrows furrowed. ''Incase of what?''

''Incase we had a chance to catch one of them'' Lydia spoke, flattening her lips into a straight line after sighting the infuriating teen.

Scott took a few steps foward. ''If we can't make this school a fortress then maybe we can make it a trap.''

Liam sat up straight. ''They're coming for her. Does that mean she's the bait?''

At this point, Scott was speechless.

Lea scoffed. ''I knew it. I knew that this so called 'pack' is a bunch of liars and selfish ass holes who are only out to find answers for themselves without even considering the other people around them!''

''Lea-''

''No Hayden, I'm the hunter! I should be the one protecting you because I bet that my safety line would be way better then what these people could ever own up to!''

Her mind fuzzed as she yelled at everyone. It's always something when it comes to this pack.

Lydia stood. ''Do you not understand that if we catch one of them then we could be the upper hand?''

''Do you not understand, that if this little back up plan of yours fails, you'd be jeopardizing her life tonight?''

Both Liam and Hayden stood. ''I thought we all were here just to protect her?''

''Yes Liam. That's why we brought her here.''

Lea scoffed again, muttering underneath her breath ''Bullshit''

''But now she's bait.''

Hayden's eye's widen. ''Am I?''

''No, you're not. No one's bait'' Scott clarifies.

''We can't be body gaurds for everyone every night.''

''Then why don't we talk to Stiles' dad? Why aren't we doing something better than hiding in a school?''

''Because we still don't know anything about them or what they want-''

''Not to mention the fact that Stiles' dad is human. We're dealing with scientist who experiment people for they're own supernatural making'' Lea adds.

Scott ignores her and continues onto Liam. ''They're winning, and we don't even know what the game is.''

Her eyebrows arched. 'So this is a game now?'

''What if we come in here, and those things don't work? What if you have an asthma attack- what are we going to do?'' He hissed.

Scott shooked his head, almost ashamed for not having another back up plan. ''I don't know.''

''This plan sucks''.

''You got a better one? Kids are dying and she's next! So somebody has to do something, somebody has to save everyone, Somebody has to be the bait!''

Everything fell silent.

Now seeing Scott go on a rage actually brought some humor to Lea. That is what you call entertainment.

''Scott, promise me that you do everything you can to save her?''

He looked away. Lea knew that when it comes to this sort of things that promises aren't meant to be kept.

Meant to be broken.

''Scott. Promise?''

''I'll do everything I can. I promise.''

Lea brought a hand up to her mouth to block out the laughter she wanted to release. She can't wait to see him wreck that promise.

''Guy's! I think I might need a little help right now. I forgot my pills'' Hayden states after rummaging her bag for the container she was looking for.

''I have a bottle in my locker, I can get them but-''

''I can get them'' Scott quickly interrupts. He looks back and Liam and nodds.

''What's you're combination?''

A loud ringing sound erupted in Lea's ears. She placed the chains back into the duffel bag before looking around curiously.

'Am I the only one who hears that?'

Scott and Lydia left to go over to the doors but the ringing just kept getting louder.

She grimaced and pressed her wrist against her ears. She held them there tightly while having her eye's shut.

But it got even more louder. She opened her eyes and saw she was no longer in the boys locker room, but instead the woods.

The ringing was long gone and she saw nothing in sight.

That's when she heard children's laughter. She hid behind a tree when she saw three little girls running while holding hands.

Now Lea definitely knew it was a memory. Because this was one of the two pictures that became her clue.

'I was on the left, Amber was in the middle and on her right..'

Her thoughts trailed when she noticed the unknown little girl. That unknown little girl was cut out of the picture.

The unknown little girl laughed loudly. A familiar voice rang through the woods.

''Maxine! Stop that!''

She looked back to see her father holding a camera while her mother walked beside him, shaking her head.

Maxine giggled. ''Sorry.''

You could tell she had a speech impediment by the way she spoke, but how she spoke was what really set Lea off.

''How long, Shawn?''

Her mother looked at her father strictly.

He sighed. It sounded depress. ''Lea is almost there. Just a few more days and she'll be gone.''

She blinked only once and her vision blurred back to the locker room.

''Lea, get up. Get up they're here'' Liam panicked, lightly patting her in the face.

At the moment she couldn't comprehend anything. As if she went numb.

''Liam, I-I-''

Before she could say another word she was out.

× × ×

Her eye's fluttered opened to the sight of Liam's panic blue orbs.

''Don't hurt her!''

She looked where Liam was and noticed Hayden was laying against a metal table with The Dread Doctors surrounding her.

''Hayden!''

They picked up a metal object and Lea looked away. She didn't want to witness what would happened to her best friend.

Tears trickled down her cheeks and onto the cold flooring. Empathy clouded Liam's eye's and he didn't know what to do.

Both teens were chained up and couldn't do anything with what was happening to they're friends.

''Hey..''

Her gaze landed back on him in fright. She didn't know what was going to happen.

''I'm going to make sure that everything is going to be okay.''

She shook her head, her lip trembling at the thought. ''Nothing will ever be okay.''
