Chapter 27

-: Rajeshri :-

A delicious wave passed down my body and I gasped, something hot on my back. A soft pair of lips pressed against the curve of my spine and my eyes fluttered open, wetness gushing down my abdomen.

"Good morning," Shamrat ji greeted in his rough morning voice, his lips pressing soft kisses on my shoulder blades. I groaned at his ministrations and buried my face into the pillow, tired from last night's activities, as well as turned out at how sexy his voice was sounding.

"Morning." His fingers unabashedly brushed my sides, as he buried his face into the curve of my neck, his stubble poking my cheeks.

"Tired?" I glared at him mentally, for stating the obvious. What was expected of a woman when her husband kept her up for more than half of the night?

After the first time, it had been extremely painful for me for the first couple of days. I was sore and too sensitive even to the least movements. Shamrat ji didn't let me leave the room and somehow managed to convince Ma and Mini too that I was suffering from viral fever and it was best if I stayed locked up in the room for a few days.

Needless to say, he didn't let this opportunity go to waste. Though we didn't have sex for the first 3 - 4 days, he had pleasured me with his tongue and fingers, making me cum more than my body could take. I had been exhausted and limb, sleeping most of the time, but oddly satisfied.

Finally after a week, Ma had demanded Shamrat ji to see me, fearing I was seriously sick. But her son had finished giving me a mind wrecking orgasm that day, just a few minutes before she had barged into the room

"Rajeshri beta, why is your face red? Are you still sick?" Ma asked, her voice soft as she touched my forehead, her concerned eyes roving over my face.

"Um … no ma. I'm okay now … just a bit weak," I stuttered, my face down as heat creeped up my neck. My face and ear felt hot and I fumbled with Shamrat ji's tank top, which I was wearing below the blanket.

"Shamrat! I think we need to call the doctor. Look how her face is turning ruddy. It might be the fever." Ma turned to Shamrat ji and I instantly glared at him, when he tried to keep his poker face in front of a babbling Ma intact.

"If it gets serious, we might need to call the ambulance," she panicked, taking out her phone to call someone. I instantly sprinted up on the bed, clutching the blanket to my chest, covering up to my neck and eyed Shamrat ji towards mom, agitation nipping the soles of my feet.

Shamrat ji swiftly snatched her phone away from Ma's hand and pushed it into his pocket. "Ma! Why are you worrying so much? Didn't I tell you that Rajeshri is okay?" Shamrat ji laughed nervously, brushing Ma's shoulder and gently pushing her towards the door.

"No Shamrat, you don't understand. Have you seen the girl?" And she snapped her head back to look at me, her eyes widened. I gulped down audibly, pulling up the blanket up to my neck. "See, she is shivering," Ma drawled, shaking her head.

"I'm fine Ma. I just need some rest," I cracked, cleaning my throat.

"See, she is telling herself she is fine. Now go, don't worry Ma. I am here to take care of her." Shamrat ji gently pulled Ma towards the door and smiled, closing the door halfway.

Ma stepped out and was just about to walk away, when she turned back and gazed back right at me, her sharp eyes breaking sweat on my neck.

"Just letting you know Shamrat, I wasn't born yesterday."

And she walked away.

I had been so God damn embarrassed at the situation that I had myself jumped down the bed, that day, to take a bath and had left the room.

Shamrat ji rubbed his stubble against my shoulders and I groaned, pushing him away. We have had sex after that day, and it was almost more than a week now since then. He had been very careful with me the first couple of times, still worried that 'it' might hurt me, but my body slowly adjusted to his size.

"Get up, we have an important event to attend today."

Shamrat ji grabbed the pillow and pushed it behind his head, leaning on the head rest, his morning wood poking from beneath the blanket. I stared at it, my fingers itching to touch it once, but then quickly decided against it.

That would definitely lead to … and we would be late, again.

But I was tempted. I couldn't muster up enough courage to touch his penis ever before. I was curious, like how it would feel to press my fingers upon …

My gaze moved towards Shamrat ji and as expected, he was smirking, one of his immaculate eyebrows shot up.

"Want to try?" he suggested, biting his lower lip.

I quickly shook my head and looked away from it, breathing out heavily.  He chuckled out, his voice a rich baritone but didn't push me.

Rubbing my face to wipe away the blush I pushed the blanket away, Shamrat ji's t-shirt dropping down my neck. Pushing myself on my knees, I attempted to crawl out of the bed, my ass jutted out when a sharp breath intake sounded.

Not even a second passed when Shamrat ji grabbed my hips and pushed me down on the bed on my stomach, his hard length rubbing up and my lower back.

"You shouldn't have done that," he groaned in my hair, my face flushed against the pillow, his weight sitting heavily on my back. His strength turned me on, I swallowed nervously as his right hand disappeared below my abdomen, leaving teasing touches on my labia.

"Shamrat … " I gasped as he yanked the t-shirt away and spanked my buttcheeks.

"You are being a tease the first thing in the morning," he grumbled in my ear, his fingers doing wonders in my body as he grinded himself on my asscheeks.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I knew, but I wasn't gonna admit it. Our relationship had taken a strange turn in a couple of weeks. Didn't know what the matter was, but he had been in my mind for almost 24×7.

"Oh, so you don't know huh?" he growled slowly, slapping my asscheeks and rubbing his dick up and down the furrow of my butt.

I trembled at his teasing touch but it was too good to refuse.

-: Shamrat :-

Rajeshri moaned incoherently as I climbed down the bed, her breathing inconsistent. By the look on her face it was pretty evident that she was more than just satisfied.

"This is unfair. How are you always so energetic after morning sex and me so tired?" she mumbled, trying to sit up. But her legs wobbled and she slumped down on the bed again, breathing out loudly.

My eyes raked over her figure hungrily as she basked in her postorgasm bliss. Even after ravishing her just a few minutes ago, I couldn't get enough of Shri. As if she had imprinted herself into my head.

I don't think I could ever get enough of her. Those beautiful eyes which spoke more than her mouth utters, that addictive pair of lips which tempts me all the fucking time, her contiguous smile which could make me trip over nothing, that tiny mole on the back of her ears which I never missed to kiss, her fierce stubbornness, her bravery, the way she handled me and my demands.

God, this woman had me wrapped around her little finger and she wasn't even aware of it.

"What? Why are you staring at me?" Shri chortled, squinting her face and scanning me from head to toe.

"You are breathtaking." Those words made their way out of my throat before I could control them. Shri's eyes widened in surprise for a second before she shook her head and supported her ruddy face on her palm.

"You're saying that because we … made love just a few minutes ago."

For some reason her words irked me. No, it wasn't because we were sleeping with each other. I have had a strange pull towards Shri since the very first day I had seen her. To be completely honest, I perceived it as lust in the beginning but after our marriage, I had realized it wasn't just lust.

Choosing not to argue with her, I strode into the washroom to freshen up. After finishing my morning business, I walked out of the washroom, a towel wrapped around my hips and got dressed up. In the meantime Shri went to take her bath.

"Shamrat, hurry up. It's already 9," Mom recalled from behind the door, knocking insistently.

"Coming mom".

Shri ambled out of the washroom, a towel wrapped around her flushed body and grabbed a sare from the closet, eyeing it. Walking up to the mirror she put it across her chest, pouting adorably.

"What is it?" I asked, grabbing my watch and clasping it around my wrist.

"I know I have to wear a saree, but I can't," she complained, looking at me through the mirror.

"Why not?"

At my question, she snapped her head to glare at me playfully and then threw away the saree on the bed, her neck and throat completely bare to my hungry eyes.

"You see this?" Shri derided, pointing towards her neck, her eyes narrowed in slits.

"Mmm, my marks. How can I not notice them?" I asked, gently running the pad of my thumb over the hickeys I left last night and this morning.

"And the blouse is deep neck, with a v cut on the back. How will I attain the meeting with them glaring back at the audience?" Shri clicked her tongue, her irritation amusing to me.

"Let them see. I put them there for a reason." Pulling Shri into me by her waist, I rasped the words into her ears. Goosebumps pimpled out on her body and she shivered lightly.

"God, stop being so possessive. It's not like anyone would dare to steal me away from you."

"I am just territorial darlin'. Fisting her hair, I angled her face and moulded her lips into mine, gently nipping her lower lip.

She pushed away a few seconds later, eying the wall clock and I sighed heavily, breathing into her scent.

"Wear whatever you want." I told her, brushing my hair back. I was almost ready and the event would start in an hour.

"Really!? I can wear a kurta?"

"Of course you can, as long as it doesn't look vulgar. I want that vulgar side of yours reserved only for me." I winked and a delicious blush rose on her cheeks.

"You're the best!" she exclaimed, taking  a white high collared kurta out of her closet and sliding it down her sexy frame.

"I know."

-: Rajeshri :-

I stifled my yawn for the umpteenth time with a hand over my mouth, casually looking around me. The place was buzzing with a crowd, almost all the people from our village were present to witness the event. A stage was set up along the pond, which was dead a few months ago. With proper advice and right labour's force, Shamrat ji had managed to revive it and soon fish cultivation would also begin there.

People, who had knowledge on fish farming and been assigned for the job. A small portion of the profit would be given to the government, but Shamrat ji had refused to keep the rest of the money. It belonged to the fishermen, as per his word.

I along with Ma was sitting in the front row, boredom eating me alive from inside. Ma was busy in talking with the ward member's wives, planning out to visit the nearby NGO before the election.

The event would start as soon as the DM arrived, but she was stuck in traffic. My husband was behind the stage, taking care of other matters. Even Leila and Arnav haven't arrived.

I clicked my tongue and pushed myself on my feet, deciding to roam around rather than sit idly on the chair. Before leaving I informed Ma. She nodded distractedly.

As I walked out of the compound, my eyes fell on a bunch of men guarding the place, in navy blue uniforms, guns tucked in their holsters. Shamrat ji thought it would be wise to assign guards on the gate for our safety. The elections were knocking on the door and up until now, our opposition parties hadn't given us a single reason to take them lightly.

"Rajeshri!" I was casually strolling around the pond, when Leila's voice rang behind me. I swiftly turned back and she came running up to me, a wide grin plastered to her face. I sighed heavily, thanking the almighty for sending her to my aid. I was getting hella bored.

"Where have you been?" I sulked, hugging her lightly.

She chuckled and pointed towards someone behind her. "He didn't want to come. I had to do a lot to convince him. I love attending these kinds of events."

Arnav was standing there with a blank look on his face as he passed me a curt nod. I acknowledged his presence and he walked away towards Shamrat ji, whom I could clearly see from where I was standing, giving instructions to a man.

Both Leila and I decided to stay back cause we weren't in need there. I was getting overwhelmed with so many people and so much attention on me.

Finally after waiting for another half an hour, the DM came. The crowd around us cheered as I saw the bodyguards around her taking their positions, guarding her from pesky people.

"I admire women like her," Leila stated, her eyes  shining with delight as she gazed at our DM. She was clad in a grey saree, her posture taunt with little to no emotions visible on her face.

"Emotionless woman?" I teased. Leila passed me  a bored look before turning her attention back towards the DM.

"No, the kind of attention she gets. I mean, do you see that? So many bodyguards protecting her, so many people hooting and cheering for her. God, how lucky," she gushed as if talking about a celebrity.

"Someone here is a big fan of fame."

"Oh yes, now who doesn't love fame, Rajeshi?" she suggested, cokcing one of her eyebrows.

"It does come with a price, Leila."

"I wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice my soul to be popular and influential." I turned my head to look at her but Leila was lost in her own world, admiring the DM, or probably admiring her notion of fame.

The DM gave a long speech to which I didn't pay much attention. It still got overwhelming for me from time to time. Attending political rallies, being a sole part of a party, attending events like this, helping Ma with her work. Amidst all of this, creating a own identity of mine, beside being the Pradhan's wife.

I wasn't born in that kind of an environment. We were lower middle class people, habituated to being happy with the smallest thing Baba could afford.

"You did a good job with helping Shamrat bhai. See how proudly he is looking at you." At Leila's words my gaze shifted towards Shamrat ji, who was standing behind the DM on the stage, but his eyes were fixed at me, a small hint of smile evident on his face.

I smiled back at him and nodded towards the DM, who was now talking about Shamrat ji. My gaze then shifted to Arnav, who stood on the farthest corner of the stage, eyeing the pond from time to time, nervously.

"Why was Anrav reluctant to come, Leila?" I couldn't stop myself from asking, when I saw Leila blinking to reassure him from beside me.

"He … doesn't particularly like to be anywhere near any waterbody."

My eyebrows furrowed at her words."Why is that?"

"Um, his … " Leila's hesitancy was evident from the way she fumbled.

"That's okay. You don't have to tell me." If this was their little secret, I couldn't demand to know.

"It's not anything to hide, he just doesn't like others knowing about his weakness. But I trust you, Rajeshri." I grasped Leila's hand to assure her that she was putting her trust in the right person.

"Arnav's father, I mean his biological father, tried to kill him by drowning him when he was 5 years old." I gasped, my heart missing a beat as soon as her words registered in my head. The piece of information was so baffling that I couldn't bring myself to talk for several seconds.

"What … ?" I mumbled after the initial waves of shock passed, my eyes widened in the shape of saucers as Leila sighed, a tight lipped smile on her face.

"You heard it. I am not repeating that."

I nodded, in a daze. How could … how could a man do something so heinous to a five year old? And that too, his biological father?

"That's horrible," I drawled, not sure what to say. How terribly it might have affected a 5 year old kid, when his father tried to drown him.

Children seek their parents for protection and love. When the same parents break their trust, it shatters them.

"That day, it was Shamrat bhai's father who saved him and took him in, but the fear of water got etched into Arnav's head. Arnav is aquaphobic. He had tried to learn how to swim many times, but didn't succeed."

I nodded absent mindedly at Leila's words, my gaze fixed on Arnav. He was trying to maintain his cool unbothered demaneur, but that nervous glances at the pond every minute didn't go unnoticed.

"He was a wonderful person." Leila said, smiling at Arnav who returned it, even if they were so many feet away from each other.

"Who?" I enquired.

"Daksh Rathore."

Shamrat ji's father.

I have heard so much about him from the villagers, but strangely he was not discussed ever in the home. There were a few pictures of him hanging around the mansion, but that's it. Never had Ma, Mini or Shamrat ji ever spoken about him. As if he was just a mere picture on the wall and had not been a part of their life for a very long time.

"Please come forward Mr. Shamrat Rathore," DM madam announced his name and he stepped forward, bowing down graciously, as she took up a rolled piece of paper from a tray and handed it over to him, congratulating him for the success.

Shamrat ji stepped in front of the mike, with a pat on his shoulder from the DM, his charming smile enlightening the whole place.

"I would like to … " Shamrat ji thanked the laborers as well as the planners who had played a huge role in the project, alongside the junior marine scientists.

"And last but not the least, Mrs. Rajeshri Rathore. This project wouldn't have been successful without your constant support and help. I would like to request you on the stage beside me," Shamrat ji announced.

Butterflies erupted in my stomach and my mouth fell open at his demand.

"Rajeshri!" Leila's strong nudge on my shoulder broke our eye contact as he ushered me forward with a wide beam.

"What!" I was baffled for a second. How would I face the entire village?

"Go!" Leila urged, pushing me softly, her excitement on brink.

As I ascended up the stairs, Shamrat ji held out his hand and pulled me up, warmth seeping into my face and neck at all the attention, a thousand  pairs of eyes staring right at me.

"Good work, both of you. Keep it up." DM ma'am congratulated us and went away, a round of applause breaking, as Shamrat ji and I roved our eyes along the sea of crowd, his hand resting around my waist.

"I am proud of you." A ghost of a smile played across his lips and I returned it, unable to hold it back anymore. He always knew how to make my heart flutter.

"And I, y … "

Out of nowhere, shots rang around us, and bullets rained down upon us. It pierced whatever came in it's way. Pain surged through my body as Shamrat ji fell on his back, bringing me down with him.
