THE RESTAURANT had been bought out for the night, allowing the idols and their guests to party peacefully without any interruption. The room was lit dimly with the chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, towering above their heads and glistening like stars in the night sky. Park Chinsun sat at the table with the others, the smile on her face the brightest it had ever been. And Junhui wasn't the one making her smile. She kept whispering jokes to Jin and Namjoon across the table while Junhui watched, his hand placed on her thigh.

It's her birthday, he thought. He didn't want to make a scene on her birthday. When Jimin's eyes landed on his sister, he noticed the thin straps holding up the thin material covering her chest. A diamond choker wrapped around her throat. She looked stunning, but Jimin thought it was too much. It was too much for a dinner with all of her closest friends, but Junhui had insisted she wear it. Eunnie walked up to her, hugging her before retreating to her brother who stared at Yoongi's sister. Jimin shook the hand of Junhui glaring slightly at him. He smiled at his sister before he lead Eunnie toward their seats.

"Happy birthday, man," Junhui told Jimin with a slight head nod. He had told Chinsun that he would be civil tonight, for her, or else she wouldn't be going home with him. The thought of her staying at the dorms made his blood boil, therefore he decided that he wouldn't cause mayhem tonight. "Thanks," Jimin replied blankly as he and Eunjeong sat in their seats. Junhui's arms rested on the back of Sunny's chair, finally pulling her out of her conversation with Jin and Namjoon. Taehyung and Jungkook stared at the two males. The tension was obvious. Sunny's wide eyes trailed over to her brother and she broke out into a wife grin. "It looks pretty, right?" Sunny asked.

He never really cared about decorations, not like his sister did. But when she worked hard and felt proud, he felt that same emotion. He nodded as a smile crossed over his rose petal lips. "Yeah. It looks amazing, Sunny." She smiled at him before she turned to Junhui. He loved seeing her so affectionate. He dipped down and brought her lips to his, tasting the sweet candy taste of her lipgloss. Namjoon turned his head and stared at Yoonmi, who chatted with her brother, Yoongi. Both siblings looked at ease as they talked about her new photography contract.

"Hey, hyung," Taehyung whispered. "Are you okay?" Namjoon nodded his head. Though his mind drifted toward homicide every time Junhui laid a finger on her, he was okay... for her. Tae nudged the male before wiggling his dark eyebrows. "You know, I'd love to get some pictures of this place," Tae began. Namjoon furrowed his brows at the younger Kim, who looked almost excited to snap a few shots of the beautiful decorations Sunny had strung up and assorted. She turned to look at him, excitement twinkling within her deep, brown eyes. "Really? I can show you the best places."

Tae suddenly shot up, knocking over his full glass of water. The liquid spilled into Sunny's lap, causing the girl to squeal in surprise. His eyes widened. That wasn't the plan. It was supposed to spill on Junhui, so the Chinese idol would go home and leave. "Shit. I am so sorry," Taehyung exclaimed, quickly grabbing at the napkins placed on the table. Silverware clanked onto the table top, a small and awkward smile gracing Chinsun's pink lips. Joon stood up, too, but slowly sat back down when he saw Junhui pull her to her feet. Water dribbled down her legs, splashing against the floor.

"Let's get you cleaned up." She pouted at the large wet stain on her lap. "It was an accident. It's okay, Tae. Go ahead and take some pictures. Make sure they look good. I worked hard on this place." He nodded slowly, watching the two move toward the bathroom. Junhui glared at the male while he lead her away. Taehyung turned to Yoonmi. "Wanna come and take pictures with me?" he asked, staring at the Min and ignoring her brother's pointed stare. She nodded excitedly as both rushed off with their cameras. Eunnie leaned against Jimin before she stood. "I'll go and look after Sunny," she whispered into his ear. "Look out for Namjoon." Jimin's eyes left his girlfriend to focus on the sulking face of his leader. "I've got him."

The bathroom was large. Sunny stood beneath the hand drying station while Junhui gathered napkins to wipe down her legs. "He didn't mean to, Hui," she mumbled as her boyfriend complained. "That's why I'm complaining here and not punching his teeth in." She ran her fingers through his hair with a sigh before she noticed the door open. "Hi," Eunnie spoke gently, her eyes locked with Sunny's. The older female smiled at her timid friend. "Hey," she replied. Her dress was still wet, but the mark was lessening already. "Could I talk to you?" Junhui glanced over his shoulder at the small girl, his brows furrowed. "We're kind of busy," he replied harshly. Sunny kneed him in the shoulder, scolding him. "Just go and get a drink," she told her boyfriend. She had gotten bolder with the male. It was a shock to everyone.

"Fine. I'll be back, though, to check up on you." He pressed his lips against hers roughly, almost knocking her off her balance. Eunnie stared at him as he brushed past her, bumping his shoulder into her small form. Eunnie stumbled before she walked up to the sink staring into the reflection. She wondered what had changed Sunny's mind. Before, she was dead set on breaking up with Junhui, yet she was all cozy with him now. After washing her hands, Eunjeong rearranged her black hair all the while not stopping to stare at Sunny in the reflection. She stared for a short moment at the dress Sunny wore, wondering if Junhui had made her wear it. She wore a dress, simple and grey as she had thought it would be normal birthday. But Junhui never truly made anything normal.

The Park looked up to meet her twin's girlfriend's worried stare. "Are you happy with him?" The question took her off guard. Was she happy? She was at first, or at least she thought she was. "I," she began, but quickly closed her mouth. How was she supposed to answer such a big question like that? "I think... I don't really know anymore, Eunnie," she spoke in a gentle manner. She tore her eyes away from the mirror and looked back down at her now semi dry dress. "There's moments where everything is okay. We'll watch a movie and cuddle, but then... then he does things that..." She scoffed upon noticing the tears collecting on her waterline.

She fell silent, the room only filled with the sound of the hand dryer. She let the few tears fall. How could she have gotten herself in this situation? How could she have thought so lowly of herself to think she deserved such a toxic relationship. Eunjeong stared at her, her own eyes watering. The younger girl moved to Sunny, pulling at her short black dress before rearranging her hair. "I want to break up with him because I know its what is best for me, but I can't seem to do it." Eunnie cupped the girl's cheeks, wiping away the straying tears, and forced the older member to look at her. As Chinsun stared into the girl's eyes, she was surprised to see worry and determination in them.

"If you want to sleep somewhere else," she said lowly,"you can always come to the dorms with me. And if you need someone to talk to," —she swallowed— "call me, no matter the time." Chinsun stared at the girl who had to promise her that she wouldn't tell anyone about the toxic relationship and things that happened between Junhui and her. Maybe she had underestimated her, maybe they all did. Maybe Eunnie wasn't the innocent, timid girl they thought they knew. Faking a smile, Sunny slowly nodded her head. "Just remember that you are stronger than you think. The right time will come and everything will fall into place." Sunny nodded again and took the younger girl's hands from her face. "Thank you, Eunnie. Seriously."

Eunnie laced her fingers with Sunny and smiled gently. The two girls left the comfort of the silent bathroom and joined the group once more. Junhui sat in his seat, his eyes immediately flickering toward a smiling Chinsun holding the younger Jeon's hand. Eunjeong walked down to her seat after parting from Sunny, sitting next to Jimin who glared at Junhui, as well as her brother Jungkook. Junhui eyed the dark haired girl before a malicious smirk crossed his thin lips. "Didn't you've something better to wear, Eunnie?" the male asked. Eunnie rolled her eyes at his foolery. Jimin grabbed her hand beneath the table, his glare hardening. Only her friends were allowed to call her Eunnnie and he was definitely not her friend.

"Oh, wait I forgot you and your brother Jungkook don't have so much money due to your parents occupation. I mean if I would be your brother or boyfriend," —he glanced at Jimin, scoffing— "I would be embarrassed to be seen with you in public with the way you dress and look." Chinsun wanted to say something but his nails dug into her thigh, making her silent. Jungkook glared at him. "Watch your mouth," the maknae growled, only for Junhui to laugh. "I mean no harm! I want to see the girls at their best. Don't you?" It was then that Sunny realized it was time. This was all her fault. She bit down on her quivering bottom lip, moving her eyes away from the table. "You're always talking so lowly to people," Namjoon began, finally having enough of Junhui's attitude. "Is someone lacking in the sex department?"

Everyone's eyes went wide at Namjoon's word. Chinsun barely had time to react when her chair was pushed away to give Junhui room. He stood swiftly, grabbing Namjoon by the collar with a threatening glare. "Sunny seems to enjoy it," he growled, only fueling the flame behind Joon's dark eyes. Namjoon shoved the male off with a grunt, Junhui stumbling backward. "You should see her, you know. A moaning mess below me—" Do it now, you coward!, her conscience hissed. "Junhui!" Sunny yelped, her face red in embarrassment. Her eyes traveled to Eunjeong's, pleading. Eunnie nodded toward the girl. "What? We all know he wants you!" he shouted back at Sunny. Seeing her flinch at his tone gave Namjoon the strength to climb over the table and tackle Junhui's strong frame to the ground.

Sunny screamed. The glasses once on the table shattered on the ground. Namjoon's fist swung hard at Junhui, landing against his face. "Stop!" she shouted. Fear made her body run cold as goosebumps littered her skin. It took Jungkook, Taehyung and Jimin to pull Namjoon off of Junhui. Even though they wanted nothing more than to beat him up, they knew they had to stop him from doing something he'd regret. He couldn't afford to lose Sunny. Eunjeong took the time to slip from Yoongi's grasp — the male had grabbed the Jeon and his sister in case it would get uglier together with Hobi — to walk to her friend, grabbing the Park twin's arm. The woman, however, freed herself from her friends grasp and bent down to her boyfriend, helping him to his feet.

Her actions felt like a bullet to the heart. Namjoon shook his head at her before he rushed out of the restaurant, followed closely by Seokjin. "What is wrong with you?!" she cried out, pulling her boyfriend up. Eunjeong looked surprised. Tears were smearing the makeup on the girl's face now. Junhui stared at his girlfriend. "Why would you say such things!? In front of my friends!?" Her breathing became rugged. She so desperately wanted to shove him back down. He needed to be put in his place and maybe it was time for her to do that.

"Baby—" He tried to reach for her, but she slapped his hands away. "You need to leave. Right now!" She hugged herself as her tears fell heavier. She thought she would collapse. "Think about what you did," she whimpered, wiping at her eyes. She turned around and finally accepted Eunnie's offer to comfort her. Junhui only rolled his eyes at Sunny's dramatics, but he listened. He walked away and out of the restaurant. Eunjeong wrapped her arms around the older girl. "Sunny..." Jimin stepped closer to his sister, his jacket already shed from his shoulders. "I'm sorry," she replied, wiping at the dark mascara trails under her eyes. "I ruined our party.." Hoseok stepped forward, his large hand capturing her smaller one. "No. You just made it a little more entertaining." A small laugh spilled past her lips before it turned into another sob.

The boys were helpless. The only one who could comfort her was Eunjeong, who decided it would be best to take her back to the dorms. She called up a car and the whole ride back was silent. The boys stayed behind to help clean up, the party long forgotten. The only thing they decided to keep was the birthday cake that had yet to be lit with candles. As they entered the dorm, the younger girl could hear Namjoon's door slamming shut. Pulling Sunny into Jimin's room, Eunjeong pulled open a drawer and pulled out some of her comfortable clothes she had left behind. "Here," she said. "Thank you," Sunny sighed. She took the clothes, but couldn't seem to move. Everything felt like it was slowly crashing down on her. Her eyes had since dried from her small breakdown back at the restaurant, but they didn't seem to stay that way.

"I–I should apo–apologize, right? To Joonie?" she asked Eunnie, her eyes blurring with tears. "God, Junhui was acting so disgusting, I..." She buried her face in her hands as she finally felt the dam around her heart break.
Her mind was flooded with Junhui's taunting words, and words blaming herself for the situation. She couldn't control the angry sobs that made her whole body move in spasms. Eunnie sat beside the girl, brushing her hair from her face. "Sunny..." Chinsun allowed herself to crumple into a ball. She hated feeling this way. She hated herself for making this whole thing happen. Her cries echoed within the room, shattering Eunnie's and Namjoon's hearts.
