THE WORLD was silent. The moon stood watch over the people beneath it, the stars shining in company as the night air cooled down the worries of the day until they were nonexistent. Yet, with a robe tied around her, Park Chinsun found herself still being troubled by her woes and sorrow, her tear filled eyes peering out the window of the dorm with a mug of hot chocolate pressed to her chest. Her socked feet were propped beneath her, her knees pressed into the back of the chair. The steam from her beverage made her nose run, her eyes stinging from the unshed tears and the steam. Her mind raced with worries and angry words spat in her direction during the two weeks she had been away.

She isn't even talented. She's only gotten so far because of her brother. She squeezed her eyes closed with a sigh. She's just trying to be relevant. Its almost impossible with a face like that. She brought the mug to her lips and took a ginger sip. Tears spilled over her cheeks as she sighed. She should just give up. The group would be even more successful without her. Would they? Would everyone in her life be happier without her there? She peered back up toward the rock in the sky with a hopeful glint in her eyes. "Why am I here?" she whispered, her voice wavering with emotion. Her bottom lip quivered. "What is the point in my being here?" she asked a bit louder, but quickly shushed herself in fear that her band mates would hear her.

"I always did my best growing up. I love people for themselves and treat everyone right." She shakily moved her falling hair from her eyes. Her tears felt like knives slicing the skin of her cheeks. The mug was beginning to feel heavier until she found herself almost spilling it on her lap. Her body began to shake uncontrollably as her emotions began to better her. She dropped the cup onto the coffee table beside her before clutching at the robe on her arms. Her eyes squeezed shut. She's pathetic. Its a wonder anyone likes her. She leaned her forehead against the back of the chair, letting the cool leather help the warmth behind her eyes. How can someone so repulsive be an idol? Aren't they supposed to be pretty?

The wall shielding her pure heart from the world crumbled to the floor around her like a wrecking ball had crashed through. Her whole body fell limp, her arms wrapped around herself, as her tears pelted like bullets toward the floor. Disgusting. She should quit. She deserves to die for hurting our boys. She should kill herself. A broken sob echoed within the pitch black room as her heart ripped apart. She never understood how Jimin handled trolls before her and continued to be his happy, cute self. Now, in the line of fire, she questioned whether or not she was truly made for this life. Were her dreams worth losing the best part of herself? She clawed at her chest, fighting to keep her heart from spilling to the depths of the world, forever missing.

She felt as if her whole body was falling apart. She bit down on her bottom lip to silence the pained whimpers rolling from her tongue. Would anyone really miss her? I know I wouldn't. She collapsed against the chair, finally letting out all of her pent up anger and sadness she had been holding in for so long. She kicked her legs and threw the pillow near her across the room. An agonizing scream ripped through her throat. The action startled the girls sleeping only a room away. Soyeon sat up hurriedly and threw her blanket away from her the moment she heard glass shattering. "What's going on?" Miyeon asked, fear evident in her eyes. Their first thought was a break in, but upon hearing broken sobs, they knew it was something much different. Soyeon slipped on her house shoes before speeding toward her bedroom door, ripping it open.

"Sunny?!" the leader exclaimed upon seeing the girl rocking on the floor. A vase she had gotten from Junhui lay destroyed on the floor next to her, the pink colored glass in shards against the hard wood floor. Blood smeared against the wood, and Soyeon felt her heart thunder within her rib cage. She crossed the room to kneel before the Park twin, immediately spotting the gash on the girl's finger. "Stand up," she instructed the girl as the rest of the group stood at their bedroom doors. "They want me to die, Soyeon," she cried out, her words hardly comprehensible. Soyeon cupped the girl's red cheeks, her own eyes filling with tears. "Who, angel? Who wants you to die?" Sunny sniffled, continuing her calming rock.

"They said I'm ugly and that I shouldn't be an idol," she sobbed. She winced at the pain in her finger when her tears collided with the cut, mixing with the blood staining her hand. "I don't deserve to be with you. I'm bringing failure to the group." Soyeon ignored the snotty sobs that left Sunny's mouth and simply pulled the girl into her arms. Sunny's face was buried in the girl's chest, muffling her cries for help. She had never felt so broken before. The other girls watched in silence as their angel was slowly drained of her everlasting glow. She changed right before their very eyes from the energetic ray of sunshine to this shattered shell of a human. "You are nothing of what they say, Chinsun," Soyeon spoke, her voice cracking as her own emotions seemed to play with her vocal chords. "You could never bring us failure."

She's worthless to the group. Cube should fire her. She fought the urge to shout at Soyeon and beg her not to lie. She just wanted the pain to go away. Her breathing worsened as a panic attack slowly built within her chest. She pulled away from Soyeon, her eyes glassy and red. "I can't," she gasped. "I can't, I can't, I can't." Her face scrunched up in pain. Soyeon attempted to wipe away the girl's tears but Sunny pushed her hands away. Her blood had spread down her wrist and the cut was looking nasty. "Sunny-ah. We need to take you to the hospital," Soyeon mentioned. Sunny shook her head frantically, still fighting the violent sobs bouncing against the lump swollen within her throat. "You're losing a lot of blood, angel, and you look to need stitches. Please. Let me help you." Soyeon's hand wrapped around the girl's wrists despite her continuous protests.

She could barely stand on her own feet. Despite the tears steadily flowing down her cheeks, Minnie rushed to help Soyeon assist Sunny toward the front door. Soojin, Eunjeong, and Miyeon stayed behind to clean up the glass shards. With a sigh, Miyeon pinched the bridge of her nose and turned, without a word, to get the broom and dustpan. "Sunny, please stop fighting us," Minnie begged in her small voice. Sunny stumbled forward, her stomach lurching. "I'm going to be sick," she whined, her head falling forward. Her hands itched to slide against the cool concrete beneath her socked feet. She just wanted the cool, night air to encase her in its embrace. "St–Stop! I'm going–" Before she could warn the girls, her stomach heaved and the hot chocolate she had drank earlier reappeared at her feet. The splatter against the sidewalk made both girls holding her up gag.

Her stress was eating her alive. Her body felt like it was shutting down in an attempt to just calm her. "I'm sorry," she croaked, wiping her mouth with her bloodied hand. Soyeon snatched the appendage away from her mouth with a sigh. "Don't apologize. You're going through a lot right now." Minnie tucked the girl's hair behind her ears, smiling gently at her roommate. "What happened, angel? What made you crack?" Sunny looked over toward Minnie. Her eyes were swollen, drowsy staring back at the older member. Her head was pounding within her skull. "I... I don't know if I'm ready to talk about it." Minnie nodded understandingly. "Take your time, Sunny-ah. We'll be here when you're ready, okay?"
