"HOW WAS practice?" Eunjeong's soft voice startled Chinsun, the curly haired girl dropping her keys and gasping rather loudly in shock upon hearing the noise. She had been told that the girls would be out doing their own thing, Eunnie claiming to be with Jimin all day. If she had known that anyone would be home, she wouldn't have came back. "Sunny!?" Eunnie's brown eyes widened in fear at the sight of the many marks on her unnie's skin. The red rings around her wrist, the red spot on her forehead, the still blossomed bruise wrapping around her upper arm. "Did you get mugged!?" Sunny was quick to shush the younger member, a nervous laugh rumbling from her chest. "God, no. I just hit my head when I tripped over my shoe lace. And, I honestly don't know where these came from," she lied, holding up her wrists.

"Wasn't Junhui with you?" the youngest asked, her eyes still wide as she examined the marks on Sunny's wrist. The brunette stared at her friend. "Yes? Why do you ask?" Eunjeong fell silent as Sunny pulled her wrists away, tucking them behind her back. "He wouldn't hurt me on purpose," she spat angrily. Eunjeong jumped at the sudden change in Sunny's attitude. "He loves me and I love him. Why can't any of you accept that?" Hot tears trailed down her cheeks. "I never said—" Eunnie gasped upon seeing Sunny break down into tears. The older member had done quite well privatizing her breakdowns. The only slip up was that one night Minnie walked in, which could have been what prompted her to start locking the bedroom door. Her face was entirely screwed up as her arms wrapped instinctively around herself, as if to hold herself from falling apart.

"He loves me, Eunnie. I swear he does," she cried out, peering over at the dark haired girl through her blurred vision. Eunnie had no idea what to do. She was too fearful to hug the girl. She had no idea what other injuries she could sport. But she couldn't leave her like this. "Let's sit, okay?" She slowly pulled Chinsun toward the sofa where she rested. A warm blanket was wrapped around her shoulders, her face buried in her hands as her tears created streams. Quietly, the youngest called for backup, and it wasn't long until the girls had arrived. Minnie raced to Sunny's side, wrapping her arms protectively around her friend. Her tears had dried moments ago, but her body continued to tremble. "Who do I need to kill?" Soyeon asked angrily, her hands firmly at her hips. Miyeon ran her thumb along the red bump on the girl's forehead.

"Me, please," the twin replied weakly. Soojin ran her palm over the girl's messy hair, her eyebrows furrowed into a frown. "What's wrong, angel?" she asked in her calm, soothing voice. Minnie's head was rested right in the crook of Sunny's neck, her arms wound tight around her body. She shook her head, scared of what she could spill. She didn't want them to know, not when she was still fuzzy on whether or not she loved him. She loved him, right? "I'm so confused right now, unnie. And I feel like I'm slipping into a dark place that no one can help me from." Minnie lifted her head to look at Sunny. The worry was evident on the young girl's face. They hadn't noticed the bags growing beneath her eyes before that very moment. Sunny had always been so great at hiding her worries and problems.

"Whatever place you think is unreachable, isn't because we'll always be there to pick you up. So will the Bangtan boys. We all love you, angel, and we wouldn't let anything bad happen to you," Soyeon explained, her voice serious and stern. She patted the girl's head. "Why do you feel this way?" Miyeon asked. Eunnie stared, waiting for the Park to tell them about the marks on her skin. "Is this about the bruise?" Minnie questioned, making tears pool within the curly haired girl's eyes. Her head dropped shamefully as the rest of the group repeated that dreaded word. "What is she talking about, Chinsun?" This time, Miyeon's voice had grown hard. Sunny nudged Minnie a little, telling the female to let her go. Minnie did, and gasped when Sunny let the blanket around her fall to her side.

"Holy shit," Soyeon breathed out. Sunny's cheeks flushed at the amount of attention she was getting. Soojin lifted one of her wrists, noticing the faint red marks. "H–He doesn't mean to," she whispered sadly, unable to meet anyone's eyes. She felt the need to get all of it off her chest. "Junhui did this to you!?" She flinched at the raise in Soyeon's voice. Just that action confirmed what the four girls have been thinking. "You have got to tell someone, Chinsun! This is dangerous!" She wiped at her tears that became a steady stream once again. "He doesn't do it on pu–purpose!" she argued weakly. Soojin cupped the girl's face, collecting her tumbling tears with her thin fingers. Her wide eyes met Sunny's puffy ones. "Are you sure about that, angel?" she asked gently. "Y–Yes. He loves me."

"He loves that he can control you!" Soyeon snapped, causing Sunny to screw her eyes closed. Soojin shifted into the seat beside the crying girl and pulled her into her embrace. "He doesn't love anyone, Sunny. He's using you and he's hurting you!" The trembles turned violent as Soyeon's words continued to pelt at her. They struck her like knives, nicking her skin and making her bleed tears. "He does love me, Soyeon. And I love him," she cried out. Soojin tried calming her down with running her fingers through the girl's hair, but nothing was working. Her breathing became heavy while her tears fell like bullets. "It's my fault. I'm too weak." The girls all shared a knowing look while her face was buried in Soojin's chest. "I'm pathetic. I'm sorry that I'm bringing you down."

"Don't talk about yourself like that," Eunjeong spoke softly. "You shouldn't think so lowly of yourself, unnie." Sunny wiped the final tears from her red cheeks and heaved a heavy sigh. "I think I want to go lay down," she mumbled sadly. Minnie stood quickly, helping the Park twin to her feet. "Come on, angel." The two moved away from the couch, Sunny's arms wrapped around herself. She needed the comfort of her bed, and maybe the soft voice of Minnie helping to soothe the raging storm within her troubled mind. Their room was cool compared to the living room where everyone sat, the light turned off. "Leave it off," she spoke gently, not once looking behind her as she crawled into her bed. "Sunny..." — "Will you lay with me? I... I don't want to be alone."

The space beside Sunny was quickly occupied. Minnie's thin arms wrapped around Sunny, the younger member resting her cheek against her shoulder. Her breathing had finally steadied, though her chest felt restrained still. "You know, Sunny," Minnie began, her voice light and breathy. Her fingers drew small circles into the skin of Sunny's arm as her mind gathered the words she wanted to say. "Everyone has a point in there life where things seem to be going wrong or seem to be more than they can handle. You're not alone in this." Sunny's arm rested across Minnie's stomach. She stared blankly at the wall across from them, breathing through her nose. "That type of feeling is normal. And its okay to feel that way, because you're human. We have defaults. We have imperfections. Fear and sorrow are emotions that we often feel. You're no different than all of us.

"You're going through something right now that no one should go through. I'm sure you're constantly battling your mind and heart, wondering which organ is correct. You're probably wondering why this is happening to you; what did you do to deserve this. Right?" Sunny nodded. Her heart swelled at Minnie's words as a lump formed in her throat. "You don't. You don't deserve this at all. We're going to help you, angel. You just have to trust us and stop pushing us away." Her eyes glistened with unshed tears. Her voice cracked as she spoke up, "I'm scared that I'll choose the wrong thing to listen to." Minnie pressed a gentle and comforting kiss to the curly haired girl's head. Her eyes flickered toward the ceiling. Thoughts swarmed through her own mind. "I'm certain you'll make the right choice, Chinsunie. Lady Destiny would never hurt you."

She'd never hurt me, Sunny thought. Her fingers wrapped around the hem of Minnie's shirt, immediately finding a loose thread to pull on. "Thank you, Min," she whispered, nuzzling her face into Minnie's neck. The older of the two laughed at her actions as her eyebrows pinched together. "For what?" she questioned, confused. Sunny sighed, her warm breath fanning across Minnie's skin. "For being there and... and not trying to force me into anything." Sunny smiled gently. "For listening." Minnie smiled, too, smoothing down her messy hair. "That's what friends are for, angel."
