HOW COULD she have not seen it coming? The girl before her was obviously angry, her face red as tears streamed down her cheeks. Why didn't Sunny block her? Why did she let her lay a hand on her? Her gasp was sharp, slicing through the tense air. Junhui was quick to catch his stumbling girlfriend as their bodyguard rounded them and tackled the girl to the ground. "You hurt Yoongi, you skank! You deserve to die!" Did she? If the sasaeng had known the full story, would Sunny still deserve to die? She hadn't cried after the incident. Her eye had watered of course, a dark purple bruise blossoming around her eye. She was more surprised than anything, and worried of the other's reactions. Definitely worried. "You'll pay for hurting him! Pay, pay, pay!"
"Chinsun?" Sunny snapped out of her thoughts at the sound of Junhui's voice. His car had stopped across the street from the girl's dorm. All of her things had been thrown out due to a breakdown, besides a bit of her favorite things tucked away in her suitcase. She was lucky, really, that Junhui had snuck over to the dorms when he had just two weeks ago. There was no telling what Sunny would have done on her own. "I'm fine," she mentioned, not waiting a moment for him to ask the question because she knew that if he had, she probably would have busted open with tears. She wore a sweet, closed lip smile, and scrunched her nose. Junhui reached toward her and tucked her curls behind her ear. "I know you are," he replied, patting her uninjured cheek.
She shuffled out of the car, clutching her blanket against her chest. She pulled her mask up and over her face, letting her hair hide her face. Junhui retrieved her bags and let her lead the way toward the dorm. "I hope its empty," he voiced, making the girl crack a minuscule smile behind the black mask. She tried the knob, noticing right away how it was unlocked. Did they expect me to come home?, she questioned. She twisted the knob and pushed open the door, immediately being greeted by the sweet scent of pie. She could distinguish three voices, one being a voice she hadn't heard since before her breakdown. "Did you hear that?" She continued through the threshold and took off her mask, sighing heavily. Footsteps neared her and before she knew it, she spotted the black haired girl she had thought hated her.
"Hi," Sunny breathed out. Despite the way they had left things, both girls felt relief upon seeing one another. Eunnie wasted no time, bounding toward the older member and wrapping her arms around her neck. Her tears were warm, splashing against herself as she cried. "I'm so sorry, unnie," she sobbed. "I never should have snapped at you like that." Sunny's arms instinctively wound around the younger girl's waist, holding her tight. "We don't have to talk about it. Don't worry about it," she replied. She buried her nose within the girl's thick hair. It felt good to be back in her arms. It felt good to feel normal again. She popped her head up at the sound of the front door closing, Junhui juggling Sunny's suitcases. "Eunnie?" The familiar voice came closer, soon revealing a face Sunny found herself wanting to pinch. "What the hell?" he gasped. Eunnie released the girl to allow her to jump into her brother's arms. "Where were you?"
His hands cupped her face, his brown eyes full of worry and shock. She bit down on her cheek for a moment. "I had to get away," she whispered. "I thought I was stronger, but I'm not, Jiminssi." His eyes trailed from the tears glistening within her eyes to the bruise beneath her left eye. The surprise quickly transferred to anger. "Did he hit you?" The question took Chinsun by surprise. She pulled back as his hands planted on her shoulders. "W–What?" Eunnie moved closer, finally noticing the color ring around Sunny's eye. "Did this asshole hit you? Did you!?" Jimin's shout was directed toward the boyfriend still standing by the front door. Junhui's calm demeanor changed once the accusation had entered the air.
"N–No! Jimin, you're talking nonsense!" She felt her footing slip as her brother tugged her behind him. She grasped his bicep to steady herself. Eunjeong's eyes widened as the oldest Park twin glared at the Chinese idol. "What did she do, huh? Did she finally say no?" he sneered. Junhui dropped Sunny's duffle bag onto the floor, her shoes and toiletries clattering against the hardwood. "You don't know what the hell you're talking about!" Sunny pulled at Jimin's arm as a small noise of protest slipped past her parted lips. "Oh, really? I've seen the way you man handle her!" Another set of footsteps echoed within the room and soon, Jin was standing there. "Chinsunie!" he exclaimed, unaware of the tension around him. She smiled briefly at the older male. "Hi, oppa! You're looking well."
"I would say the same to you, but you've got a black eye. Where did you get that?" Junhui crossed his muscular arms over his chest and frowned the moment Jin's eyes trailed toward him. She let out an exasperated breath. "Why is it that all of you have to attack me when I come here?" Junhui asked angrily. Jimin frowned. The answer was obvious, both he and Junhui knew it. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the reason. "Because you're a bad guy. You pull her around like a doll," Jimin replied. He stepped closer toward the idol, Sunny trailing behind. "You've made her stop contacting her friends. You've made her doubt herself. The list goes on." A smirk crossed Junhui's face. Oh, how little do these people know. "Last time I checked, she likes it rough." Jimin grimaced as Sunny's gasp rang out. "Junhui!" she scolded, cheeks bright red.
"What? If we don't get it out in the open, they're going to keep trying to ruin our relationship!" His eyes were innocent, but he was nowhere near that. He had a malicious intent within his words. He winked at his girlfriend before turning back to stare her brother right in his eyes. "Trust me, she likes being my doll." Jimin's heart rate quickened. "You should hear it, really. It can get annoying." Sunny's fingers slipped from Jimin's biceps and quickly shielded her shamed expression. "That's enough," Eunnie warned the Chinese idol with a frown. "You would know, right, Jeon? You've heard it. She's crazy!" Before anyone could stop him, Jimin lunged at the male. His hands gripped his shirt, slamming his back into the front door. "Shut your filthy mouth," he growled. Jin stood idly by, unable to register the events taking place.
"Or what, huh? You'll punch me?" — "I wouldn't put it past me." Sunny was frozen in place. She had never seen Jimin so angry before. "Can you reach my face?" Junhui questioned with a snicker. Something inside the older Park twin snapped and before anyone knew it, his fist soared through the air. Junhui blocked the action, his shirt slipping through Jimin's loose fingers, and shoved the male back. "You're a piece of shit, Wen," Jimin stated as the Chinese idol laughed. "Funny, your sister doesn't think the same." Sunny frowned. "Please stop," she whimpered. Jin grabbed Jimin by his bicep, pulling the younger member back. "He isn't worth it, Jiminie." Junhui's eyes snapped toward Sunny's as a mischievous smirk overtook his thin lips. "Hui, don't—"
"I bet its weird knowing she likes to get pounded while listening to your music." Jimin once again shoved the Chinese idol, yet his action was futile. Junhui grabbed the Park twin by his collar and forced him into a wall. Sunny gasped loudly, immediately moving to her brother's aid. "Stop!" she screamed. Her voice didn't penetrate his ears, though. Despite her pleas, his fist slammed against Jimin's cheek, sending the boy's head back. "No, don't!" Eunnie cried. Sunny grabbed Junhui, hoping to peel him away from her brother. "Hui, stop! Please!" He only shrugged her off, his fist aimed again. This time, Seokjin grabbed him, tearing him away from Jimin. "That's enough," the oldest spoke, his voice unusually calm. Junhui backed away, his eyes not once leaving Jin's. "Get out." Sunny grabbed Jimin the moment Junhui had let go, her hands instinctively holding his face.
"He's right. Get out," she spat angrily at her boyfriend. "We'll talk about this later." Jimin stared at his twin in surprise. Junhui only scoffed, but respected her order. He left silently, leaving the four to bask in the silence around them. Eunjeong collapsed onto the floor from the stress building within her head. Jimin flinched as Sunny prodded his cheek. "He didn't break it, thank God. It'll be bruised, though." Jimin smiled gently at his sister. "I'm sorry I ran off, Jiminssi." — "Hey, we all need a break sometime. I'm just glad you're back." She nodded slowly. She's happy to be back, but why did her heart still feel heavy? Why did she still feel as though she didn't truly belong? She rested her forehead against Jimin's, finally letting her emotions take over. "I'm sorry." Her tears fell from the tip of her nose, landing on the hard wood floor.
His arms wrapped tight around Sunny's waist, bringing her into his embrace. She buried her face within his hoodie, her arms around his neck, her tears staining the fabric. The two stood like this for a moment, breathing each other's familiar scents while Jin and Eunnie retreated back to the kitchen, phoning the members. "You're stronger than you think, Sunny-ah," he mumbled into her unruly curls. Her lip quivered as she awaited his speech. "You're breaking out of this cage he's had on you for so long. You're becoming yourself again, despite all of the obstacles thrown at you. You can do it because we believe in you." Her breath stuttered as she cried harder into Jimin's hoodie. "We love you.."
