chapter three.

KICK'S RIDE TO THE AEROPORT was short, with surprisingly little traffic leading to Heathrow. She connected the reasoning to this to the fact that it was two in the morning. Despite this, a large crowd still waited for her outside the entrance and at least a third of them were photographers.
Her management had attempted to keep her travelling times quiet, however someone must have obviously talked, so she hoped that they at least didn't know where she was going to. If anyone did find out, then it would most likely be down to her ex, Kyle, which would be her fault. Nonetheless, it still didn't stop herself from getting annoyed that her present (the collab) for her fans would no longer be a surprise.
Signing as many pieces of paper as she could whilst the paparazzi took their photos, she thanked each of them for coming out so early to say goodbye to her and it wasn't long before she was rushed towards the boarding area. She felt like she was walking in slow motion towards the plane, as if to remind her that if she ran away then nothing would happen.
She wouldn't be in a collaboration that she really wanted to be a part of, but the members of BTS would have time to compose themselves after what they had been through. Kick had been trying to stay off her social media, but it was hard when she felt uneasy over their issues, even when she hadn't even met them.
Of course she knew what was going on. Who didn't?
Two weeks prior to her departure to South Korea, an article was published saying that during their collaboration with Halsey, BTS used the miscommunication to their advantage to lower to amount of time she sang in the song. This article was supported by a video of Taehyung and Jimin talking to each other about her singing voice.
Since the journalist was American, he decided to caption the video with the words of his own choosing. Very early on in Bighit's response to it, they mentioned the incorrect subtitles before correctly translating it in a press conference.
Despite this massive sign that declared the article to be based upon false claims, the media continued to pursue BTS's collaboration with Halsey as a source of interest. As well as economic growth.
Only two days prior to her flight was the media fully convinced. The majority of the public thought this the second that the article was discredited, yet it took multiple statements from the members and Halsey to get them to stopping talking about the matter further. The scandal lowered the trust of other artists in BTS, leading them to feel excluded from the music community, as well as the few who still believed the article was true.
People who thought that it was true were the type to let everyone know this, even convince others to believe the same. This meant that despite the media dropping their worthless investigation, some still chose to display their disgust that the song had not been removed from streaming websites.
Kick walked onto the plane while listening to the song that caused the incident and enjoyed it. It was a good song. BTS had talent, and the harmonies with Halsey were nice. She didn't see why they could still be receiving hate. Maybe that misunderstanding was due to her selfish want for it to no longer occur so that it wouldn't interfere with their song creating process, but if it was: sue her!
She wanted to have fun.
There was a chance that she could even have that on the flight there because, there weren't as many people of the plane as she had expected there to be. It wasn't going to be the crowded flight that she had expected it to be. Still, there was just as much anxiety as she had expected there to be.
She tried to get rid of such thoughts and sat down in the pod where her seat was. Kick distracted herself by thinking of the members. She listed each their names four times before she left herself move onto her first impressions of them.
Namjoon was the leader, and she didn't need to read any posts about BTS to figure that out. Sure, in the videos she had seen, he was the spokesman of the group but his personality screamed confidence. Kick imagined that he would be uncomfortable when they met due to his protectiveness for his members.
Next was Jin. Despite being the oldest, he seemed to be the type of person to just play around, yet aware of which situations it would be necessary to be playful. She could already see him greeting her like a social butterfly and trying hard to lighten the tense atmosphere.
Jimin seemed absolutely adorable. Whether that was due to his looks or kind personality, she wasn't sure. Originally meeting her, she assumed that he would be extremely cautious, possibly to the point where he only said a few words. From what she had seen about their scandal, he had been really emotionally affected by it all.
One of the rap members was Hoseok and he was the first name she could remember because his smile made her giggle aloud like a small child. He acted like a bundle of sunshine and joy, however most likely a little clueless as well.
And from the second that Jungkook had messaged her, she immediately knew that he was going to be the member that she would be the most comfortable with. After they had discussed their lyrics, they moved onto other subjects and formed a friendship, or at least she thought they had.
Then was Yoongi, who acted very similarly to that of a cat. He was quiet in most videos with interviewers and watched his members' reactions so she knew that he wasn't going to say much to her at their first meeting.
Taehyung... she didn't know anything about Taehyung. Kick hadn't managed to decipher anything about him from the videos she had seen.
Who was Kim Taehyung?
"Would you like anything?" The air hostess asked in Korean, prior to repeating it in English. She seemed slightly worried as to Kick's reaction to waking her up from her daydreaming session.
"No, thank you." Kick replied in Korean.
It seems as though her gcse was about to come in handy.

"Then your hips circle... yes..." The choreographer stood in front of all of them, staring at them each individually to see whether they were making the correct movements. "Seokjin-ah, dance as though it's Bulletproof Pt.2. Think quick then slow-w." He demonstrated the movement once more before he stopped dancing entirely.
"Camera will be here in five — make sure you've got it all down, yes?"
The members nodded and went off in their separate ways to do different things. While the rest left to drink water, Jungkook went on his phone and Jin continued to work on the dance.
"Can she dance?" Hoseok asked to break the silence; even the choreographer turned his head up at his question. He hadn't thought of that.
Namjoon furred his eyebrows, "Does she need to?"
"Jungkook-ah!" Seokjin immediately called in order to avoid any disruptive discussion before Kick had even landed. "Do you know if Kick can dance?" The maknae turned his head up and shook it lightly, rather innocently in fact. It emphasised how little he had been saying lately and how much more time he had been spending online.
"I can ask." He offered with a small smile, though it brought little comfort to Hoseok. If she was unable to learn any of choreography, would she just stand there whilst they danced? He already knew how the media would respond to that and he couldn't let his members go through it again.
Surprising the majority of them, a knock came from the door a few seconds before the camera crew entered the practice room.
Bowing whilst greeting everyone, Taehyung couldn't help but find himself shying away from the camera and towards where Jungkook sat on the floor. The youngest was grinning at his phone as he translated her message into Korean. Once he understood what she had said, he couldn't help but laugh, which managed to capture no one's attention luckily for him. Except Taehyung: he was now even more intrigued.
Before Jungkook had the chance to begin translating what he wanted to say into English, his fellow member slid next to him gracefully to read what she had written.
춤? 아니요. ymca? 네. 💃💃💃
dance? no. ymca? yes. 💃💃💃
"Don't tell Hoseok." Taehyung whispered into his ear causing him to whip his head around to look at him.
"I'm sure she'll be fine." He replied calmly and began to type his response into the translator. The member beside him rolled his eyes. "Take your phone out and read about her. She's the real deal. If she's not good at something, she'll work on it."
"Good."
"Hyung..." Jungkook murmured innocently. Why can't they be nice about her, he wondered.
"Okay, okay. I won't be like Namjoon." He said with a smile, immediately brightening the mood between them. Soon enough, one of them noticed RM's stare that called them to walk over to where the rest of the members were, alongside the camera crew and producer. "Come on."
Taehyung nudged him on the shoulder before they walked over to everyone else.
"Hello, I'm producer Lim. Today, we'll just be shooting you practicing a part of the choreography for your collab." Nods went around the room which signalled the start of filming. "Any questions, requests?"
The members stayed quiet. Jimin jutted his bottom lip out in thought. Isn't it too early to be filming? He stopped himself considering asking the producer this question. I'll just asked Namjoon later.
"Okay!"

"Well done everyone."
Many "thank you"s and "good job"s went around the room, and on that note, their schedule of hard work finished for the day.
