The journey over to the Covenant was probably a whole lot less dramatic than what anyone expected. The last weeks were spent between finishing training, packing things up; equipment, personal items, anything and everything, that by the time press conferences had been and gone, there was nothing else left to do than go.

It was sad really, everyone stood in the main living space silent. "The place gave me cabin fever after three days, but I'm gonna miss the place, you know?" Tennessee had stated, sounding actually quite reminiscent already. They hadn't even left and he was speaking so fondly of this place, even though he was usually the first to complain about something here. Be fair, everyone got to that stage eventually. It was just the same thing day in and day out, repetitive and boring. By the time everyone had finished and passed training, and were as good as they were ever going to be, there was really nothing left to do. Tennessee and Faris more so were on the bad end of the stick, they were about the only two who didn't have things to actually lend a hand with.

The security team had the firearm and combat training, Jacob and Oram had plans to go through; final preparations for what was to happen once in space, and all that. As navigator, Ricks was involved closely in these conversations, Upworth sat in and advised checkin points with local space stations which would be passed in transit. Daniels, Karine and Onora worked closely with the on the ground things; the terraforming equipment which Daniels seemed more than capable with checking over herself, the plants and things keeping them alive, and packing them all safely up kept Karine and Onora busy. Between them they managed to get everything sorted and safely packaged away within a four day cycle. So, it really did leave the two pilots without anything to do for quite a time, they grew bored rather quickly because of this.

The looming hangar which had the ship in grew closer; the vehicle in which they all travelled over in had to be specially parked and a tunnel of some sort of plastic to be fashioned between one and the other. The paranoia of illness was still very much present. The last thing anyone needed, especially those in charge of the whole mission, was someone to get ill and instantly be placed in quarantine.

There was no doubt about it, the Covenant was a hell of a lot bigger than any scans and imagery they were provided with. All of the crew stood suddenly looking up at the ship in awe. This tremendous feat of engineering was to be their home for the foreseeable future. It seemed so big, for such a small crew; the colonists had already been loaded up and stationed in the bay which was designated for them. The only thing left, was for them all to enter. From there, it was all systems go.

There were no more press conferences to publicise what was happening, and where they were going; no more final checks, no more system updates, checks, reroutes and reprogramming, no more. It was all done, and dusted, and everyone was just needing to be onboard to get going.

Walking into the ship itself was strange, the corridors were a mixture of white walls and dark floors, brightly lit and stretching onwards, thick heavy doors slid open and eventually everyone managed to find their ways to the bridge. No one as yet had branched off to go and explore, everyone seemed to be heading in the same direction.

Of course when they got to the bridge, the missing member of their crew was there. Walter turned, arms crossed behind his back, dark hoodie and trousers, pretty much looking the same as when he left. He looked over the faces which suddenly appeared, "Hello," he blinked and watched them properly file into the room. They all managed to fit in, though the room was seemingly small, it was deceivingly big. The table took up most of the room, and it for the moment laid unused and unlit.

"Walter!" Jacob was the first to greet the synthetic, wide grin in place as he dropped his holdall bag onto the floor and walked over. Walter just turned his face and looked at the shorter Captain suddenly by his side. He got one of Jacob's hands clamping onto his shoulder several times, he looked happily up at him. "It is good to see you again!"

His head tilted, Walter looked over the rest of the crew. He had been missed? Looking back to Jacob, the slightest of smiles appeared on his face, "It is good to see you all again too." He uncrossed his arms and gestured forwards. "May I show you all towards the sleeping quarters? You have things which are needing to be deposited, and then we can see about taking off."

"That," Jacob pointed and wagged a finger, smile still in place. "That sounds like a plan," he moved back over and picked his bag off the floor. He sent Daniels a playful withering look as she nudged it with the toe of her boot. She had no intentions of picking it up and handing it over as he drew close.

They parted and allowed Walter to walk past and through, "I hope everything will be satisfactory." Not that he had any say in how the rooms were planed or furnished. "Choose whichever you prefer, though they are all the same." Walter said, not exactly managing to sell the rooms as everyone just glanced amongst themselves from behind his back. If there was no difference between the rooms, there was really no matter to where they chose to sleep. Everyone got along with each other, no one needed to be kept away from someone else.

Walter just stopped by a corridor and looked down it before looking at the group again, they got the hint and filed down. Tentatively, buttons were pushed on the walls and doors opened and people peeked in and eventually walked in. Walter just watched as each crew member disappeared behind a door. He'd give them a moment, though they were on a schedule he was more than certain that Oram would have no trouble rounding them up.

Hearing a cough, Walter straightened up and looked back to the corridor they had just walked down. Onora. Walter looked her over, even stepping away from leaning against the wall waiting, just to stop in front of her. She swung her bag simply from one hand to the other. He looked down at it, and then back down the corridor. Reaching down, he took the bag from her hand and turned. He walked towards the one remaining door which he hadn't seen anyone walk into.

Pressing the button, he watched the door open and walked in, hearing Onora follow after him. The room was simple, like the others; double bed, furniture for clothes, large window - the view of which was dull at the moment - a door which led to the personal bathroom, a little kitchen area, even a little desk in the corner near the window. Walter placed her bag down on the bed and turned and looked at her slowly. She looked no different, not that he expected a vast change. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled something out and handed it to her.

She smiled and took the envelope from his hands. Opening it, she peered in. She saw the seeds and looked back up at Walter, Onora just smiled more; he had kept the letter, no doubt stashed it away safely in a place only he knew of. Walking past Walter, she put the envelope down, he turned and watched her, even more so when she walked back to him and reached forwards and wrapped her arms around his waist.

Walter got pulled close as she nestled her head under his. He tilted his head and leaned his head on top of hers, "It is good to see you," Onora said quietly as she tightened her hold on him. Walter was rather unable to feel pain, which just gave her the ability to cling on tightly, or as tight as she could without harm coming to him.

"I really have been missed."

Onora looked up at him with a frown, she didn't seem to agree with his statement. Because that was what it was, it wasn't a question, it was a statement. "Of course!" She implored while moving her arms from around him and resting her hands on his sides. "Why wouldn't you be missed, Walter?" She was curious, she didn't know he seemed to value himself, or his company so lowly.

He frowned, seemingly thinking over her question for a few moments. "There are others-"

"You think I've shirked you off, Walter?! No!" Onora cut him off with a short, sharp tone. She even rather childishly stomped a foot on the floor. Walter looked bemused, his eyes widened and he blinked several times at the woman standing still holding onto him. She didn't know he meant his earlier words as a statement just directed at herself. But then, she probably should've guessed as such; Walter was rather confusing with words sometimes. "No, I've missed you. I've missed your company, our conversations, just you generally being around.." Onora trailed off, staring over his shoulder and at nothing in particular. Shaking her head, she let him go and stepped back, "Sorry," she said, raking a hand through her hair.

"What for?" Walter felt confused, her demeanour changed so suddenly. She seemed content to hold onto him, and nestle close and question him; but now she stood seemingly shutting off from him. He looked her over as she looked awkwardly away from him and at her feet.

"You...you might not have, well, you might not feel the same. Or have the same outlook, that is, I mean..." Onora replied, twiddling her fingers together and nibbling on her lower lip as she glanced up at him and down again.

Walter watched her awkwardly shifting and entwining her fingers together. He sighed over the pinching of digits, reaching out he held a hand over hers. She looked up at him, and he just stared back with clear blue eyes. "You will hurt yourself." He said, watching as a smile slowly appeared on Onora's face. "There was a loss, a void, I have never had to miss someone to know what it truly is like." He explained slowly, feeling her hands stopping twisting together. It didn't stop Walter from holding onto her hands still though, not because he thought she was going to pick the habit back up, but more because he wanted to hold onto her again. He looked down at their hands and then back up at her, it sunk in: he missed her. It wasn't just everyone, he missed them all in turn; everyone bought something different to a day and conversation, but Onora, specifically, was the one which was missed the most.

"Were you bored?"

"I had tasks to do." Walter responded almost instantly.

Onora raised an eyebrow, "But were you bored?" She repeated, only because he had things to do, didn't mean he couldn't become bored.

"The routine did drag." Walter watched as she laughed and nodded her head quickly. He blinked and smiled, "Then yes, I believe I was bored." He got it, so that was boredom, that cemented it for him.

"Struggled for company?"

"It was not the same." Walter admitted truthfully and quietly, Onora looked at him with a sad smile. She couldn't necessarily say that it would improve now that they were here. The security lot would probably still hang around each other, the couples would stay together and where ever they opted to explore and hang out on the ship...he let one of her hands go and kept a hold of the other, her fingers slowly linked with his and Walter found himself smiling again. Regardless, they were reunited now and could suffer through the oncoming journey together, of course, up until she and the rest of the crew went to sleep, then it would be Walter on his own again. But until then, he was opting to ignore that bit of obviousness just to enjoy having company, for having her back.
