Walter sat with a small frown on his face, the combing fingers in his hair had stopped quite a while ago, the weight in his lap had grown heavier; Onora was asleep. She had somehow drifted off and was curled up quite comfortably in his lap, head tucked in the crook of his neck, hands now limp in her lap, legs curled up and against his side; Walter glanced down at her every now and again when she would whisper something, she was dreaming, he didn't know of what, but considering she looked peaceful he presumed nothing bad.

He still sat looking down at her when he finally heard a click, he turned his head and looked to the door. Daniels peeked in slowly, as if she was expecting to walk into a wrecked room, Walter pressed his lips into a thin line over that. They weren't going to have a domestic of any kind, and plus even he could tell that Onora wasn't the violent confrontational type. And that was even without basically forcing a gun in her hands, or to stand and practice hand to hand combat. At worst, maybe, she would've shouted at Walter...but she didn't even really do that. Her voice may have risen a little more than normal, but it was more out of exasperation than anger, or anything negative along those lines.

"Is she asleep?" Daniels asked in a whisper as she nudged the door open more. She was careful in case it decided to squeak or anything. With a relieved sigh, it didn't which meant she could walk more into the room. She tucked her hands into her pockets as she looked at them, she couldn't help but slightly smile. Poor Walter did look a little pinned to the wall by Onora sleeping away in his lap. He just mutely nodded as a reply and sent her a look, Daniels smiled more, she got it...no more louder tones or else the blonde was likely to wake. "Need help?" Daniels whispered instead, Walter was looking perplexed. It was clear he was trying to figure out a way to stand without disrupting Onora. Daniels watched though as he held onto her tightly and pulled her closer before bending his knees and pushing his back against the wall. He essentially pushed himself up the wall to stand, it worked, he soon stood looking down at Daniels.

"What?" Walter didn't understand why she was looking at him with such a fond look.

She just raised an eyebrow and nodded to the side, she allowed him out first before shutting the door and following suit. She just looked with a smile, "You two...?" She threw out suggestively with a waved hand in the air.

Walter frowned, he looked down at Daniels suddenly. "We have made up, yes."

Daniels laughed quietly and shook her head, that wasn't what she meant, but what else was she expecting from Walter? "That's good, I'm glad and happy for you, Walter." Daniels said honestly, she had seen how lost and confused he was without Onora around. It was endearing, she really did find it oddly cute how the synthetic had grown so attached to one person, and seemed truly bemused when she wasn't around. It was like a puppy, when its owner was away or out. Without the familiar face and presence around there was only confusion and the feeling of loss. Daniels didn't mean to compare Walter to a puppy, it just sort of happened. "I told you though, didn't I? The problem couldn't have been that bad. It just shows you that Onora values you in equal terms." Daniels said decisively. If Onora didn't care, at least a little bit, she wouldn't have clearly nodded off to sleep in Walter's lap. Daniels turned the corner along with the synthetic, the sleeping human remained fast asleep in his arms; Daniels sighed lightly, she didn't honestly want to look too into their relationship, but their closeness did go a little beyond, but only by a little smidge.

"The others?"

Daniels came back to the present by a small jolt. She had just been lost in thought, looking up at Walter she couldn't help but slowly smile. "Bored and not noticing you two being missing in action." Walter's head tilted at that, yet he gave a nod. That was good, if they had been noted being elsewhere he was certain questions would be raised; questions which neither would want to answer. "Actually, the first specifics for the ship have come through." That piqued Walter's curiosity. Daniels smiled when he looked down at her with an expression which matched the look in his eyes. "It's massive. And I mean massive, Walter." Daniels laughed, honestly she didn't know it was possible for a ship to be large. Or at least that large. Considering the passengers, it made sense that the accommodation would be big to house so many people. The crew were small in number in comparison.

"They have commenced building it?"

"Yup," Daniels popped the 'p' and nodded. She shuffled down the corridor and paused, she looked up at Walter with a smile. "Better put her to bed, don't think she wants to be in there. Tennessee and Ankor are arguing lamely about rooms, and space." Daniels honestly didn't think Onora would want to be woken up by raised voices. Let alone raised voices arguing about something truly stupid. Every couple had their own room, it was just the matter of choosing where that room was. Why both males were picking holes, Daniels did not know. Wasn't it women who were usually really pushing for space? Shaking her head she watched Walter think over her suggestion before nodding and walking away. Daniels watched him go, inwardly she may have been awwing slightly. Truth be told, Daniels was surprised Onora hadn't woken up through their light chatter. Or rather the moving of Walter.

Walter traversed the rest of the base without any trouble, he got to her room without problems arising and she was still asleep. Walter sighed, he didn't know she was such a heavy sleeper. Regardless, he moved over to her bed and laid her down. She seemed hesitant to actually let him go though. Her hands had taken to gripping onto his top, her hands were small fists against the grey material. Walter couldn't help but let out another sigh, he reached up and tugged gently at her fingers. Slowly but surely the grip loosened and he was able to put her hands across her stomach. He stood back and looked about the room, lowering his eyes when there was a murmur he moved around the bed and sat down in the seat nearby.

He sat and watched as she fidgeted and curled up, a frown appeared on her face and Walter raised an eyebrow when she hit out on the mattress and ended up laying on her back again. There was a short sigh and then her eyes slowly opened. "Problems?" Walter asked, it was all very strange. Very strange indeed considering moments ago she was peaceful and at rest.

Onora's head turned, she turned with it after a moment of looking at him. She tucked a hand under the pillow while the other rested near her face. "Uncomfortable."

"In comparison to me?"

Onora laughed, Walter made it sound so...ridiculous. "You were warm, Walter. This bed isn't." In fact, the whole thing was cold from the lack of body heat or anyone even being in the room.

Walter's eyes blinked slowly as he thought over that one. "I believe once warm, you will be comfier there." He decided after a few moments. She sighed, always so practical was Walter. It was one sure thing that never seemed to cease or fail. It was a good trait to have, to be honest, to be so straightforward on a moral compass.

"Fine." Onora let him have that with a sigh. "Why are you here?" Walter raised an eyebrow, "I mean...haven't you got something else to do? We're on good terms, I'm clearly going to go back to sleep...sitting there watching me sleep sounds both boring and a little creepy, especially considering you still don't blink regularly!" Onora despaired, yet she laughed when he purposely blinked his eyes twice to empathise the point that he could, he just often forgot.

"Specifications for the ship have come through."

"So? Why aren't you off looking them over?"

"Because," Walter edged forwards in his seat, Onora lifted her head up and looked at him worriedly. Moments of pause and Walter weren't common, but when they happened he often didn't come out with anything good.

"Hey," she reached out and held onto his hand. "What is it?" Onora tightened her hold on his hand reassuringly.

Walter opened his mouth to reply, only to shut it. He moved and knelt at her bedside, he turned his hand over in her grasp and held on. "Because I am the onboard synthetic." Walter said plainly, Onora frowned, clearly not following. He sighed, "I will be expected to organise and communicate with the built-in AI on the ship. We are both safety nets for you, I suppose. Need to work together to insure you are all safe. Together, we could probably complete and finish the last little tweaks the ship needs before taking off." Walter explained while she leaned her head back down on the pillow and looked at him distantly as she listened to his voice. There was something strangely comforting and calming about Walter's voice, Onora had sort of come to that decision a while ago.

"You'll be gone." She got what he was saying, in so many words. He won't be here, because he's off preparing the ship for them.

Walter nodded slowly, glad really he didn't have to go into proper lame man terms for her. She was smart enough to get what he was saying. "If only for a small while."

"Will you come back?"

Walter smiled flatly, "Probably not. I am expected to complete this task. That does not mean I am allowed time off to come and visit you."

Onora looked at him sadly at that, "So...how long are we talking?"

"Anything between a few weeks, to a month or two." Walter said it so simply that it made Onora let out a startled noise and double take. She couldn't help it. She wasn't expecting that, she didn't know what she was expecting, just not that. That seemed like such a long time! Sure, everyone was self-sufficient, no one asked anything of Walter; no one treated him as a servant to do their bidding, they treated him like a human would treat another human. So it wasn't like him going would throw a spanner in the works for them, but...but that still didn't matter. Because he wouldn't be here. And that hurt Onora to think of.

"I'll miss you."

Walter smiled, "We will be together again," he said while watching as she scooted. She patted the bed and Walter got the hint, he stood up from his knelt position and sat down before laying down beside her. He turned and looked at her, she looked up at him. They were silent then, Onora clearly had things on the mind that she didn't want to voice, and Walter was fine without pressing her for answers. He lifted an arm and tucked her up, he leaned his chin against the top of her head as she nestled against his chest again. He heard her contently sigh before he looked down curiously, "Warm?"

She laughed, "To be honest, I was fine really...I just missed being cuddled. You know you really do give great hugs, Walter?!" She laughed again, her voice being muffled by being buried against his top. Walter blinked slowly at that, he didn't know that snippet of information, but he did now.
