"And heres to Onora, officially here to stay!" Tennessee was all for actually seemingly celebrating Onora staying for good. A few days had passed and the results from her tests had come through. She had been called to medical, they had gone through everything, and she basically got the all clear. So, she was here to stay. Tennessee, of course finding anything to liven up the boredom, suggested celebrating her staying. It was perhaps the oddest thing to label a celebration at the moment, but everyone was getting behind it. Any excuse to not just stay in the same boring routine of getting up, socialising, helping with certain tasks, socialising some more before going to bed. The days were horrendously boring.

"One of us," Karine whispered over the bottle in her hand. She sent Onora a sly grin, Karine was pleased she was staying. It was a good opportunity to reacquaint themselves with each other. What wasn't to like and enjoy about this all?

"Hell yeah!" Was Tennessee's vocal exclaim of general happiness, which was probably encouraged by the small amount of alcohol which he had already consumed. Perhaps giving them the chance to drink was not the wisest, but evidently for times like this it was needed. Unless there were any heavy duty hangovers likely to appear, no one seemed to care all too much. Lenience was very much present. They all needed something to clearly drink, and enjoy and laugh and joke around as it worked its magic and loosened everyone up.

"Thanks," Onora toasted her glass nervously, she wasn't a big drinker. But she had accepted the glass which was shoved in her hands, she didn't have a choice but to accept. She looked sceptically at the content yet couldn't comment as she ended up finding herself beside Walter with a perplexed look. Jacob had already passed her by and gone to hand Daniels a glass too before sitting down beside her and seemingly getting into a conversation with her. Walter had taken the glass, looked it over, even gone as far as bringing it to his nose and sniffing before giving it back to her and stating that it seemed to be whiskey. Onora had scrunched her nose up. But, she had kept a hold of the glass and throughout the whole experience, managed to put it down somewhere and 'forgot' about it. No one bought it up, seemingly presuming she had drunk it. Little did they know, it was abandoned near the window. It would likely stay there until clean up happened tomorrow.

Everyone just chatted casually away with each other, it all seemed so laid back and easy. Honestly, though she had come to know all of these people in some small way, Onora still really did struggle to find herself contributing to any conversations going. She relented, she sat beside Walter, who was silent too yet watching everyone with a small smile on his face. People were interesting to observe, especially when they let all pretences go and truly seemed to have fun. There were jokes, most of which seemed to stem from Faris and Tennessee, Jacob had tried to be the voice of reason to calm them down, only for a grin to appear on his face and just snort out laughter and join in. He couldn't be serious if he even tried, well, he could, if the moment called for it. But for the most part he went through life widely smiling and enjoying every moment of every day as it came.

It was a little funny to watch everyone try and help each other up eventually to go to bed. They didn't even know what the time was, but they all managed to link arms and help each other in some way. The wall was more of a sturdy support than an actual person. Watching as everyone eventually milled and left, Walter slowly looked to the side. Onora just stared ahead before slowly looking from the corner of her eyes and up at him.

"That was interesting." Onora had said with a small, nervous laugh. Interesting was one word for it.

"And here you believed it was just I who was welcoming you." Walter said with what sounded like a knowing tone.

"Are you being smug?"

"I am unaware." Walter replied with a thoughtful hum.

"Or just wanting to tell me an 'I told you so'?" Onora asked, Walter's eyes narrowed slowly as he stared off into the distance as if the wall and clock would give him inspiration to answer her. The whole evening the pair had sat on the same sofa, neither needing to move for anything. Well, Walter especially didn't need to move for anything. Onora would need to move for a drink, if she needed to, which she didn't. Her lack of really, truly joining in with the moment wasn't really picked up on, not that she minded either way. The whole evening was spent laughing, joking and drinking, and Onora had been happy to sit and watch. Even if the whole thing was supposedly for her benefit, it was clear that it was also in dire need for the crew. Being shut away was slowly starting to grate on everyone. This was a little respite before whatever the next day bought.

"I don't know." Walter finally replied, she laughed and shook her head. Patting him on the shoulder, she leaned forwards and put her glass on the coffee table. It hadn't been drunk from really, yet another full glass to find when clearing up. Looking over her shoulder at him she stood slowly, Walter looked up at her and watched her stretch and yawn quietly. "You're going to bed?" He asked, she should. She looked tired, not that he would voice this. Not exactly something anyone would want to hear.

"No."

"No?" Walter frowned and tilted his head.

"No." Onora turned and crossed her arms, "Unlike everyone else, I am not half drunk and falling about. Tired, yes, I am. I'm tired of the same bloody walls, Walter."

"And what are you suggesting?" Walter by this point stood and looked down at her. He tucked his hands into the pockets of his hooded jumper and watched as she seemed to roll her eyes in thought. Onora's eyes widened and she clicked her fingers, Walter frowned and walked after her. "Onora, come back." He could only follow and call out to her, seeing where her path was leading to.

"No."

"You cannot leave." Walter said while watching as she pushed open a door and walked along the corridor. She had explored enough of this base now to know her way around, more specifically ways out. People who worked here came and went, so how did they get out? Onora had watched and noted where the exits were.

Onora looked over her shoulder and just smirked at him. "Are you going to stop me, Walter?" She pushed the button on the panel to the side and opened the door, sure, going out was stupid. She had just been cleared to be okay, and work on this project. If she got ill, by some weird coincidence then she was likely to not only be put in quarantine but maybe even asked to leave altogether. But, being either in her room, or the main living space was just murderous. Honestly, she was surprised no one else had thought to do this. But then, how did she know they hadn't?

Walter reached forwards and placed a hand on her shoulder, "You cannot leave."

"Is this you stopping me?"

"No."

"No?"

"This would be considered a warning." Walter said while the door to the side swung shut again, blocking the outside world off again. Though they had both felt the cold breeze of the evening. It made Onora shudder a little, she had grown so used to the stale air in the base. She had forgotten the feel of actual air. Fresh air. The night air, cold and calming and chilling; a night sky, littered with pinprick stars and a full moon. Sure, soon she'll be out there surrounded by it all. But she would like to be standing outside, underneath them at least one last time.

Onora looked confused, "So...stopping me would be?" She half dreaded to ask. Walter's hand was still present on her shoulder, this was stopping her, in her eyes. She reached up and picked his hand up and let go, it went back to his side as she shuffled back to the door. She pushed the lock button, she placed a hand on the handle, and went to pull. She couldn't help but jump at the speed in which Walter moved with. Easily enough he slammed the door shut, well, he didn't slam he just pushed against it and Onora wasn't strong enough to oppose his strength, so the door shut.

"That would be stopping you."

"But that's not fair!"

"Think of the implications of going outside." Walter looked at her with a frown. "It isn't just the likelihood of you getting ill, or you bringing something in here; it's if you do, you are not the only person who's going to get infected. Sure, nothing could happen. You could go out, come back, and no one would be the wiser. But is it a risk you really want to take? Everyone being discharged, is it something you want to take lightly?" Walter just remained against the door, Onora looked at him, listening to everything he said. Honestly, she had to admit this was perhaps the most he had ever said to her, other than when he was trying to read to her. And she was just realising, truly, how different Walter was. Insightful, smart and kind, he was very unlike any synthetic Onora could ever think of. Not to be biased, but she couldn't help but dwell on bad robot depictions. Walter seemed to look alert suddenly, like he had just thought or remembered something. "There is, perhaps, somewhere here which will ease your restless spirit."

"And that is?" Walter smiled and slipped away from the door. "Walter? Walter!" Onora exclaimed and followed after him. "Where are we going?"

"You shall have to trust me." Walter looked over his shoulder at her, much like she did earlier and just smirked. Onora frowned at him, not liking being kept in the dark at all. Walter just looked forwards again, he knew everything which was at and on this base; there wasn't really anything he didn't know, so for him to just remember the destination he had in mind, he couldn't help but shake his head.

"A surprise, Walter?"

"I suppose." He nodded and put his hands back in his pockets as they continued along the corridor. They were in a completely different part of the base, nowhere even remotely close to where the others were no doubt passed out in bed. It had often become just them two being awake while everyone slept. Even with her only being here a short amount of time in comparison to everyone else, it still just remained at the end of the day him and her.

Walter double took as Onora clapped her hands suddenly and grinned up at him. He just smiled, he presumed that was a good response. So he continued on, leading her down the corridor. The lights illuminated the way brightly, their shadows trailed up the walls as they went silent and stopped suddenly at a door. Walter looked at the number pad near the door before looking at her, Onora rolled her eyes with a smile before putting her hands over her eyes. Walter just continued to look at her when she peeked out through her fingers. Lifting up his other hand, he placed it over hers and her eyes. Onora laughed and tried to shuffle away, only for him to press his palm against her skin.

Hearing a beep though, Onora's sense of vision came back when he removed his hand and took hers down with it. He held the door open and just nodded at her, she looked from him before peeking around. She couldn't help but gasp, she put a hand to her mouth and shuffled to his side fully. She stood in the doorway with him, he just stood and looked down at her, watching her reaction. Her surprise pleased him, "If you can't go outside, then the outside can come to you." Onora looked up at him, startled a little because they were standing in utter silence. Walter nodded to the side and looked along the rows of plants and trees which were within the large room. These would be transferred to the ship when the time was needed. She was a biologist, here were living things which she had spent time studying at some point in her life.

"A garden." Onora walked forwards and looked over the rows of planted vegetation. They were all here incase their new home wasn't exactly suitable for planting straight away. There was enough in stores and supplies to keep them going. The lights were brighter in here to impersonate the sun and its warm rays of light. Onora had to squint a little, it did hurt, but the brightness was needed for these things to thrive. She hadn't come across something quite like this before. From ferns, to vegetables, simple flowers, it seemed to all be stashed away in here. Hearing the door shut, she glanced quickly at Walter as he stood beside her. He nodded, he didn't need to vocalise a response, because it was clearly evident they were in a garden. Sure, not a conventional one, but one nonetheless. "Thank you, Walter!"

Walter's eyes widened as he was suddenly bundled into, regardless of his arms being behind his back, Onora still wrapped her arms around his body and held on tightly. Her head leaned against his chest for a few moments before she leaned away and looked over her shoulder. He looked wide before blinking and watching her run off. It was interesting to watch, she'd divert from plant to plant, crouch down to check on the water supply which was trickling through a system, then get up and move on. Walter remained motionless, she looked happy. Like, truly happy. Being around alive things, caused this happiness to appear on her face. That wasn't to say she wasn't happy around the crew. But it was clear her true happiness lied with being surrounded by plants and flowers.

With a quiet sigh, Walter stepped forwards, he had lost sight of her. She was near the trees, and she had got lost within the branches and leaves. "I quite like this place," he stopped and looked down, Onora was sitting on the floor with her legs stretched out. She had managed to clamber over the fencing around the contained roots of the tree, and actually took to sitting on the roots. She was looking upwards at the leaves above her, Walter frowned, he wasn't pleased about her climbing over safety precautions, but at least she wasn't climbing up the tree. Walter looked around, not that anyone came here really, everything was monitored by computers, and climbed over to sit beside her. Onora glanced at him before looking upwards. "It's almost like being outside." She said, which was true. There was better air conditioning in here to simulate the outside world for the sake of the rooms occupants. "Thanks," she bumped her shoulder against his.

"I thought you would like it." Walter leaned his head back against the trunk of the tree.

"I do! Can I come here again?"

"I don't see why not." Walter mused, as long as everyone else didn't want to jump on the bandwagon and come here too. He sighed, "We should get back." Walter decided they had intruded for long enough, being seated under the tree for several quiet minutes, Walter looked downwards. Onora's head tilted to the side, her eyes shut and breathing levelled out. It was calming in here, he could understand why she'd drift off to sleep. But did she had to drift off to sleep while using branches and roots as temporary bedding? Walter stood, he turned and picked her up easily enough and managed to avoid tripping on roots to walk along the rows to get to the door. He managed to shoulder it open, kick it gently closed and then turned and walked back along the corridor.
