"You stayed all night?" Walter looked up when he heard the tired voice speak out. Onora was awake, she was looking at him with still tired eyes, but she was awake somewhat. She sounded confused, and Walter would say she looked it too; with a light frown on her face as her eyes narrowed to focus on him. She rubbed at them to rid the last remnants of sleep away before pushing herself up to sit. The baggy t-shirt she had fallen asleep in was squiffy from sleep, tossing and turning had caused the neckline to wrap and move over her shoulder. Fidgeting and pulling it downwards, she crossed her legs under the cover and stretched her arms. Walter just sat and watched, hands in his lap.

Slowly though, she turned and looked to him, clearly thinking that he was going to reply. Walter looked up at the ceiling and started slightly, he straightened in his seat and even scooted forwards a little to sit on the edge. He didn't know her question was literal. Rather, he suspected it was rhetorical. It seemed rhetorical, after all, the answer was himself, and he was sitting in the same chair. "Yes." Was all Walter said as an answer, he really didn't quite know what else to say, other than that.

Onora smiled and turned in the bed so she was facing him. She altered the cover and placed her hands in front of herself, "Why?"

"Why?" Walter repeated quietly.

"Yes, why? I thought you were staying until I fell asleep?"

Walter looked around the simple room, taking in the fact she hadn't really unpacked and the furniture was all left ignored for the moment. Her suitcases had been opened and raided through, he could see the undone zips, and items of clothes peeking out. "You fell asleep relatively quickly, to me commencing reading." He started, Onora just nodded. That didn't seem to surprise her at all. "I continued reading, and lost track of time."

Onora laughed, Walter tilted his head, was something funny? Onora rubbed at her eyes again before combing her hands through her hair. It had come out of the tie in the night and as such, was all tangled and over her shoulders. Patting about, she found the tie and started to braid her hair back up for the time being. "Can you lose track of time?"

Walter smiled slowly, "I do not believe so."

"Didn't think so," Onora swung her legs out of bed and patted her knees. With the fact that Walter had dragged the chair close to her bedside last night, when her legs finally left the warmth of the bed, their knees were practically touching. "You just didn't want to be alone?"

Walter's eyes narrowed slightly. "Perhaps that's why."

Onora looked at him sympathetically then. "I wasn't much company."

"Sleep is important." Walter said instantly, without a second to even contemplate a reply. Onora just raised an eyebrow, Walter stared at her. "Did you sleep well?" He asked, thinking of some sort of social prompt here. Wasn't that what people tended to ask in the morning to one another? Onora rubbed at her neck, "Are you in pain?" Walter asked, even shifting a little more in his seat. If he edged forwards anymore, he'd either end up kneeling in front of her or standing.

"I sleep weirdly."

"Yes, I did not wish to say anything. But you were laying very strangely at some points throughout the night." Walter watched as she laughed nervously and rested her hands on her shoulders, seemingly just rubbing them gently. Walter watched her hands before tilting his head and standing slowly, Onora just looked up at him and watched as he sat down beside her. "May I?"

"Er...sure..." Onora sounded confused, yet turned and looked to the wall. She was just staring up at it, in all its bland marvellousness, that she jumped when she felt hands on her shoulders.

"Sorry." Walter apologised, he didn't mean to startle her. Yet it seemed to be something which he may have already got into the habit of doing. Onora didn't seem like an overly jumpy person, sceptical, yes, hesitant at most, but not jumpy. Walter couldn't help but frown, he didn't mean or want to unnerve someone. He couldn't help but muse slightly, or rather the blatant obviousness just came to him: she couldn't be that unnerved by him to let him touch her, or act totally casual by awaking to him still being present.

"I was miles away, Walter." Onora said while quickly glancing back at him with a smile, he just looked at her. Though he did nod before tearing his eyes away from hers and returning back to his task. She looked back to the wall, noticing that already the crick in her neck felt better and so did her shoulders. When his hands moved, Onora couldn't help but tilt her head to the side and test the waters. No present aches and pains this time, though she did sort of miss the warmth which his hands supplied. Shrugging loosely, she turned and smiled. "Thank you, Walter!" He just sat there, hands back in his lap and staring at her with bright blue eyes. Onora smiled more, gratitude seemed to amuse him somehow, even if his facial expressions didn't show it. "So, the plan of action for today is?" She dreaded to think or know really.

Walter's expression, if possible, turned blanker. "Medical need to check you over."

"I'm not going to enjoy that, am I?"

"No."

"Well, at least you don't lie about it!" She laughed awkwardly.

"I can't lie." Walter said quietly, that killed the laughter and Onora just looked at him sadly. He looked at her for a few moments before sliding his eyes around the room. He sat up straighter and stood in one fluid motion, "When you are ready, come and have breakfast with the others. They have all been where you are now, and I am sure they will wish to see you before medical get you."

"Walter?" Onora stood, he stopped moving away and towards the door. He turned and looked at her expectedly. She patted herself down, straightening her clothes before finally moving and walking after him.

"Yes?"

"Thank you." She stopped in front of him, Walter's head tilted slightly. "For staying, and for earlier."

"You're welcome. Here to help." He said simply with a nod to accompany his words.

Onora frowned, "Can we add the ever present stating of helping to the 'not to mention' list?"

Walter smiled, a little awkwardly but a smile nonetheless, "Certainly. Creation, and help."

"That's not to say I don't appreciate any help you give," Onora decided to get that in there, before he thought she didn't wish for his help in any way shape or form. Walter just held his hands behind his back and thought over that for a moment, before nodding. He couldn't decline help. Walter's eyes blinked, a little wide eyed he looked around the room before looking down. Onora's arms were around his shoulders, she had tiptoed up and seemed to hold onto him tightly for a few seconds before leaning back.

"Are you unwell?" Walter asked while reaching up and placing his hand against her forehead.

Onora's shook her head gently, "No...why?"

"Your face is flushed." Walter said while removing his hand and placing it back behind himself.

"I, no...no, I'm fine. Just, thought actions of thanks spoke louder than repeating myself, so..."

"You gave me a hug." Walter said it so simply that it made Onora look up at him uncertainly. "The action doesn't allude me, though I have never been on the receiving end."

"Did you like it?" Onora asked before slapping a hand to her forehead. The question came out before she could stop herself. His confused expression seemed to show that he didn't quite know what to make of it all, really.

Walter was silent for several moments before looking down at her, as opposed as to over her head and to the window. "It was interesting."

Onora looked at him blankly, "I've never heard someone call a hug interesting." She sighed and hung her head, she waved a hand in the air. "You can just forget the moment."

"I am unable to forget."

Onora groaned, "Fine! Fine, just...ignore it ever happening, or something."

"Why would I do that?"

"Because you clearly didn't like it. I shouldn't have done it anyway. I just wanted to show my thanks, should've known you wouldn't enjoy it."

Walter reached out and grasped onto her shoulder gently, it stopped her awkwardly shifting away from him. "I suppose the saying that I am looking for is: you caught me unawares." He paused, "No one has done something like that."

"I'm not one for doing them."

Walter nodded, "I should feel privileged then." Onora just nodded in response, Walter watched her for a moment before deciding something. It was Onora's turn to look with wide eyes over his shoulder as he decided to lean down and wrap her up in his arms. He got the message, or rather picked up the message; she wished to express thanks without getting boring and forever saying it. His slight moment of tensing caused her to pull away thinking he wished her to stop. Quite the contrary, he was just never on the end of such attention. He didn't get attention like this.

"For someone unused to these, you're quite good at them." Onora laughed and stepped away when he let her go.

Walter just turned to the door and placed his hand against the handle. "Affection, I may be here in a more practical sense, but the settings and knowledge is still in my system." Onora just raised an eyebrow and looked at him strangely, interesting choice in words, she had to admit. Borderline disturbing in some ways, but she was opting to ignore that and wave him out of the room before turning and heading towards the bathroom.

Just so happened, when it came to breakfast, no one else was really about. She sat down and looked to the plate which was suddenly placed in front of her. Walter just stood on the opposite side of the counter, "You will need your strength."

"They're not going to have me running a basic marathon on a treadmill are they?" She asked worriedly, pushing a damp piece of hair over her ear. She had got dressed in simple clothes, in case they expected to rig her up to machinery to test her fitness. She didn't work out. She spent all her time in a lab, and when not there, she was at home, asleep, and enjoying every second of it. A vest and leggings, trainers which she swore she didn't actually owe. Yet they were in her case, so she must.

Walter looked thoughtful, "No."

"So, that's a yes to the running though. Just not a marathon." Onora said while picking up her glass and sipping it slowly.

"Along with blood."

Onora almost choked on her juice, Walter leaned across the counter and patted her on the back. "Walter!" She coughed and wiped at her tearing eyes. "Timing, seriously, don't mention blood when I'm trying to eat breakfast!" She despaired, Walter looked miffed.

"Apologies then."

"You don't sound very sorry," she huffed and even pouted a little. He just sounded as polite and calm as ever. He leaned back over and stood up straight, she inhaled deeply, before trying to eat the breakfast which Walter had supplied for her. She ate a little bitterly, did everyone else just sleep in late because they had nothing else to do? That seemed like the ideal thing right now, not being watched while eating, and thinking of who knew what was waiting for her in medical.
