I walked without looking back until I was outside of the building, hoping the guy was following behind, and once I got to the main entrance I turned and couldn't help but smile seeing that the guy had actually come.

He was holding his book with his left hand, looking down at his own shoes. Is he alone here? Well he's reading so of course he's alone... but he's handsome. Why wouldn't girls want to be with him?

Okay... I'm saying a guy I don't even know the name of is hot. I need to chill out a bit.

"So... what's your name?" I finally broke the awkward silence between us.

He finally looked towards Me, a expression on his face I simply couldn't solve. Blinking several times he finally broke the silence.

"Garrett... I'm Garrett." He shook his head slowly as if he had said something stupid, and I couldn't help but giggle a little.

After a few minutes of awkward silence, I figured conversating with him wasn't going to work. As I was supposed to ask something, and he answers, then asks back.. right?

"Sorry... what's your name?" He asked, as if he had just read my mind. I liked that.

"I'm Brinley." I spoke confidently, his reaction being only a nod. By his expression I could tell there was so much he wanted to ask, he was so confused as to why I am talking to him I guess. Has he never had a conversation before?

"Why are you talking to Me?" Again, it was like he was reading my mind, answering my question about what's he thinking of. His expression was almost like a frown, am I bothering him? I hope not.

"Why wouldn't I talk to you? I was alone, you were reading and I found it interesting, who reads at a party? You could've just stayed home and enjoy your night." I smiled softly, knowing I had chosen my words carefully. "Wanna go eat something?"

He looked hesitant, he didn't say it, but it wasn't necessary, his expression was like he would never decode what was happening. But the more perplexed he got, the more interested I became.

"I know a place were they have awesome fries." He said out of a sudden but kept a straight face I smiled a little, this was the first actual friendly sentence he had said to me since I approached him.

"Sounds great." I responded, and so we left. This will definitely be an interesting night.

We arrived to a diner called Rusty's. What an odd name. I giggled softly earning a raised eyebrow look from Garret making my cheeks turn hotter. I must look stupid laughing all by myself.

"Sorry.... it's just the name..." I giggled more as we reached a small booth. Of course he didn't find it funny, it was a lame ass joke making it the second time of the night I mentally Face palm.

"Shouldn't you be hanging out with your friends and date?" This time, his expression was softer, he didn't seem as perplexed as before, now he was just curious I guess.

"I didn't have a date. And my friend ditched me for her date so..." I spoke, non-chalantly, when I noticed Garrett was staring right at Me, as if he enjoyed listening, it was supposed to make me nervous or uncomfortable but it didn't. It seemed understanding. "Why did you go to the ball anyway? It didn't seem like you wanted to be there..." I took the courage to look right back at him, this time being me the one staring.

Feeling my gaze, he looked down and I watched closely the way his large hands curled into fists. "My twin brother made.." He let out a annoyed sigh

My eyes widened. He has a twin?! Wow. Can someone present him to me..

"You have a twin? Who is it?" I spoke, with a bit of excessive excitement, I'm hoping he didn't notice.

His answer was almost inaudible as if he didn't wanna mention his name, so I had to ask him to repeat.

"It's George okay...." He rolled his eyes. As if he knew what my reaction would be.
