16 ☆Traps☆

I hopped out of the shower, making my way towards my closet, taking out the outfit I had chosen to wear today. I chose something that would look like I put some effort, but also subtle, you know?

I don't want Garrett to think that I'm actually so excited to see him and hang out with him, of course not because that would be embarrassing and I'm done with embarrassing myself in front of others.

I put on the clothes, made an attempt to put make up on but failed massively so just ended up wearing mascara and lip balm, and curled by short hair a little.

I wonder if there's any reason why he would want to hang out with me? Is he going to tell me something important? Or he just wanted to hang out? Guess I'll figure out once I get there.

I said goodbye to Ally and dad before walking out, we really didn't talk much about what happened yesterday and I really would like to keep it that way, Ally is my only bet friend, and I hate whenever we fight. Hopefully dad made her understand what art means to me and she will stop bothering me.

Being so caught up in my thoughts, I didn't realize I had already arrived at Rusty's, where Garrett and I agreed to see each other. I looked around, hoping to see those hoodies and nerdy glasses anywhere, but instead, I saw something that was exactly the same as Garrett, except it as completely different. It was George.

His eyes were glued to his phone as I stared at him with confusion, I'm guessing he felt my stare once he suddenly turned his eyes towards me, flashing me his charming smile that can make any girl fall on her knees for him.

I waved at him with confusion. What is he doing here? Stop just standing there Brinley. Do something.

Right.

I walked towards the booth he was sitting on, every second I walked closer, all I could see was Garrett, except for the glasses and the different hairstyle. But it was him all I could see.

How can two twins be so similar her so different? I get they are their own person but some similarities wouldn't be bad, it's like they weren't even brothers, I wonder why they don't have a good relationship, maybe it's because of all that special treatment George receives.

"Are you gonna sit or you will just stand and stare?" My thoughts were caught off by George's manly voice. Great. I'm embarrassing myself once again.

"S-sorry... umm where's Garrett?" I stuttered as I slid into the booth, placing my bag down.

"Garrett is actually not coming." George laid back after he had said that sentence. Wait. What?

"What do you mean he's not coming? Is everything okay? Did anything happen at all?" I raised an eyebrow, making sure not to sound too interested although I'm pretty sure I failed horribly at that.

Suddenly George chuckled, gosh I shouldn't have asked all that. "Chill out Brin, I was the one that asked you out." Wait. WHAT. Now I'm even more confused now. George wanted to see me?

How did I not notice? Of course it was George, Garrett never uses emojis while texting. God, this is too confusing.

"Wait, why did you use Garrett's phone and pretended to be him?" That's all I could think of Right Now, probably the best sentence I could say at the moment.

"Cause if I asked you myself you would've said no." George shrugged. What is he even talking about Now?

"What? What are you talking about, I wouldn't have said no." He stared at me as if he knew what was I going to answer, it's honestly a bit creepy.

"Oh so you like me?" He got closer, giving me that childish grin that made my heartbeat go crazy for a long time. Not again Brinley, not again.

"No! I-I... that's not it." Is it just me or this place is getting hotter in here. Please someone save me.

"So you like my brother then?" His smile faded into a more serious expression, almost a bit scary. I was at a loss of words, and his face wasn't helping at all.

"I-I don't like him." I muttered underneath my breath, avoiding the eye contact. I can't handle this, I should leave as soon as possible.

I looked down as I played with my fingers. Why is he being so weird? He really didn't need to do all of this just to see me.

"I should get going, I'm sorry George." I grabbed my bag quickly getting up before anything else, but of course, He grabbed my arm stopping me from leaving.

"Look Brinley, the reason why I asked you to come here is because I-" I was getting more nervous with every word he Said. But he couldn't finish his sentence after he got interrupted by someone, no other than Garrett.

"You What?" I turned to see Garrett looking right at George and me back and forth. His hands were curled into tight fists, it looked like it might bleed anytime soon.

I stood there frozen not knowing what to say. We all stood there in an awkward silence, I hoped Garrett to explode, but all I saw was how his expression softened, and without having anything else to say he walked out, leaving me behind with George.

I need to fix this, as soon as possible.
