As we all (hopefully) know, Satan is our enemy, and he seeks to destroy us as Christians so we turn from God.

However, we tend to forget that he's gonna attack us more and more the closer we get to God.

Satan loves to use his lies to attack us Christians. Sometimes, the lies come in ways that we least expect it.

He will pervert good things so that we see them as bad things, and he makes bad things seem like good things!

"But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be lead astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ."

- 2 Corinthians 11: 3

This is why we need to root ourselves in the Word. The devil will make things like lying, sexual immorality, and idolatry seem good while perverting things like love into lust, obsession, and idolatry.

When we are rooted in the Word, we remember what God says about sin and we remember how He wants us to love and treat others.
