What age should you start dating? What should the age difference be?

Well, it depends.

My brother, who is only fifteen, already has a girlfriend. According to him, freshmen and sophomores just use the title 'girlfriend' or 'boyfriend' as a placeholder until you can actually go on dates. 

Shm. 

Honestly, when you can go out and do things without having to have a parent drive you is probably the best age to start dating. Which would be at least 16+ (unless you live in Arkansas. Lucky Arkansas. But should fourteen year-olds seriously be dating?). 

Besides, when you're like, thirteen, you don't need to be dating- you need to be learning basic skills (and maybe some cool tricks ^-^). 

As for age differences, that's more tricky. 

I've heard about couples having an age difference of fifteen years. 

Pro Tip: If you're going to date someone who's a significantly older than you, say 2+, wait until your at least eighteen, because there are actually laws that prohibit people under eighteen from dating people eighteen and older.  They probably vary by state, but it's better not to mess with that sort of thing. Besides, if they really love you, they'll wait.
