he placed his hands on my sides of my face, wiping away the tears rolling down my cheeks.
"riley, ever since my first glance at your beautiful face, i knew i was falling for you"

riley's pov:

"riley.. riley... RILEY!"
the faint voices continued to circle my head until i felt a heavy pressure on my back. i fell to pavement, laughing along as i felt the heat from the asphault escape into my hands. as taylor and hailey helped me to my feet, the burning amd stinging left my hands and knees. after dusting myself off, i got back in line and continued to blankly stare at the concert hall.

"riley," taylor asked, "you knows its almost three, right?"

2:55 pm was displayed on my phone screen. i could already see myself embracing the love of my life, even though he doesnt know that i exist. screams from hundreds of girls lined up all the way through the parking lot interrupted my perfect fantasy.

"ugh theyve been at it for hours!" i rolled my eyes. "they just scream for no reason whatsoever. i could literally just say one word and-"
before i could finish my words of rage, hailey covered my mouth and pointed her pale, shaking hand into the direction of a swarm of girls gathered at the end of the line. the girls at the end of the line had their phones out and were screaming something i couldnt quite make out.
i turned around to see taylor and hailey's widened eyes and white ghostly faces looking into the distance.

"guys? you okay?" i asked them.
instead of answering, they both grab me by my arms and lead me towards the crowd of screaming girls. as we came closer to the ear-splitting swarm of screams, i could finally make out what they were saying: we love you, daniel!
my stomach folded over itself over and over again as i heard the heavenly strums of daniel's guitar. i took small steps closer to the crowd, gaining the sight of daniels face. he scoped the crowd with his eyes as he sang "never be alone." as his eyes started coming closer to my direction, my face began to turn red and my heart was about to beat out of my chest. suddenly, he laid his eyes on me for a few seconds, in which he slightly slowed his strumming. quickly looking back down at his guitar, he finished the song and, for once, i joined the swarm of the girls' screams.
