It wasn't Jeongguk's intention to hurt Taehyung so much. He loves him. He really does. But sometimes, things just don't go well as planned.

He can be impulsive most of the time, but he never intended all of these things to happen. Now, rest assured that he regrets all the decisions he made that became the reason why Taehyung's heart got broken. However, he still wants to explain himself.

Let's start from what happened 5 years ago, during the time that he distanced himself from Taehyung.

He grew so cold to him to the point that he never even spared him one single glance when he tried to talk to him.

He won't reply to any of his messages neither has he answered his calls. He didn't like any of his instagram posts anymore and he didn't pay attention to his endless comments and dm's on his account.

He detached himself from him, because he doesn't want Taehyung to suffer when he's with him.

The reason why he did all those hurtful things to Taehyung was because of this:

At that time, his childhood best friend, Lalisa Manoban got back from Thailand. She's well known for being a model and an idol trainee in a well known entertainment company in Korea.

However, her father was against it and would just allow her to do whatever she wants when she looked for someone to date and marry in the future. Her dad is a serious and strict businessman, head filled with so much pride and arrogance.

He's also a perfectionist, and as flawed as Lisa was, he kept his eyes on her each passing day even though he was not with her. He would always know what Lisa is up to, that's why Lisa couldn't do whatever she wants because her father had so many eyes to spy on her.

Lisa grew tired of how her father treated her, so she asked for help. Jeongguk was the only one whom she trusted, given that he was her childhood friend, and Jeongguk knows what kind of person her father is.

He pitied her, and as impulsive as he was, he agreed to her plan without even thinking about the consequences.

He pretended to be her boyfriend, and her dad actually got happy when he found out.

It was then the first time he saw Lalisa cry, just because she made her father happy... and Jeongguk honestly didn't want to take that happiness away from her. So they eventually continued their fake relationship.

It was like having an affair, no, it was really an affair.

He cheated on Taehyung. He dated another girl behind his back, just because of a stupid plan, and decided to break up with him so that he won't hurt him any further. It was the biggest mistake he has ever made- a nightmare.

There were times where he questioned himself if he had already developed unnecessary feelings for Lisa, but every time he sought for answers, Taehyung's face would always appear like a smoke of cloud in front of him, and that's enough to erase all the doubts he had in mind.

Plus, Lisa is not straight. She almost had a girlfriend, but their thing stopped when she knew what her father was up to.

The two of them continued faking everything. They just meet whenever Lisa's dad is in Seoul. The hyungs knew about this as well and even though they didn't say anything, Jeongguk knew they weren't happy, at all.

Jeongguk knew that he deserves all the karma in the world for hurting Tae. But now, he is doing something for him. He also knew that this will never be enough to patch up everything that he did to hurt him for the past years, but at least he'll try right?

He doesn't want to lose what he lost five years ago again. Now that Taehyung's back, he'll make him his again. He'll make him happy once more, along with Seolmi. They will be a complete family because he's on his way to take back what's originally his.
