+ Chapter 29. I am not in the mood for your games
I wiped some tears off my cheek. 'You're okay?' Sideswipe handed me a napkin and smiled. 'It's not your fault. Whenever he's in pain, he's moody,' Sideswipe said. I leaned into him for some comfort. 'He'll come around,' he added. We both looked up by the sound of the front door opening and closing. Sideswipe got up and headed downstairs, but I didn't. Ten minutes later, Sunstreaker strode into my room. 'Skyla, look at me now.' I turned my head. 'Why are you crying?' He asked. I wiped another tear off my cheek. 'Because of you,' I said quietly. 'No! I was clear. I told you to not visit the base and you disobeyed,' he snarled. I flinched. 'You shouldn't have come,' he growled. 'Don't be a crybaby now,' he added dangerously.
'I missed you.'
He snorted. 'I don't care, Skyla. We had a deal. You wouldn't come to the base. You promised me and you broke that promise again,' he snapped, pointing at me. I looked down at the floor. 'They can not see you there. It means I have to kill more people and I am not in the mood for that,' he snapped. I sighed softly, nodding slightly. 'I understand,' I mumbled. 'Now come here and give me a hug,' he demanded. I embraced him. It felt good to hug him again, despite what just happened. He kissed the top of my head before making me look at him.
'I am serious about it, Skyla. Next time, I won't be this polite, clear?' He asked. 'Bro!' Sunstreaker let go of me. 'Ironhide is coming,' he shouted. 'Damn it...' he glanced at me. 'Stay here and don't make any noises, clear?' I gave a small nod. Sunny kissed my cheek before walking downstairs.
((Sunstreaker's P.O.V))
'What does he want? I just left 30 minutes ago!'
Sideswipe shrugged and opened the door. I hadn't spoken to Ironhide after what happened and Ironhide didn't seem to be in a very good mood. He slammed me against the wall. 'You asshole,' he shouted. Sideswipe pushed Ironhide away from me. 'He's wounded... leave him alone and leave,' he snapped. At least someone has my back, I thought while fixing my shirt. 'I don't care,' Ironhide snapped. 'You are a sick psychopath, Sunstreaker! I swear, if you touch Lennox or his family one more time—' I cut him off. 'Than I hat, Ironhide? Tell me, what are you going to do!' I shouted. He glared at me. 'I hate him and he crossed the line. Humans will not tell me what to do! Keep that in your mind. If I figure out humans are involved in my missions, I will kill them in the most cruel way I can manage. I am above humans.'
'We work with the humans,' he snapped and jabbed his finger in the center of of my chest. I grabbed his throat and slammed him against the wall. 'Say it again, Ironhide,' he snapped. 'Bro, stop...' Sideswipe pulled me away. 'I need you at the base, Sideswipe,' Ironhide muttered. 'Of course, Sideswipe is everyone's favorite, isn't it?' I sneered. 'You wonder why?' He mocked. I glared daggers at him. 'Bro, you need to rest. I bet there are plenty of things you still need to do,' Sideswipe said and gave me a look. I snorted, 'I don't want you to go,' I said.
He knew I was testing his loyalty. 'Sunstreaker, I am not in the mood for your games, alright? I'll be back in an hour,' he grabbed and grabbed his shoes. 'I'll wait outside,' Ironhide muttered and turned around. 'Why do you always do what they want you to do?' I asked. 'Because I serve Optimus Prime and so do you. Keep that in your head, Sunstreaker,' he sulked. I grabbed his arm. 'Don't you see what they are doing? They take you away from me... they are trying to separate us.'
Sideswipe yanked his arm back. 'You fell on your helm, Sunstreaker. Your theories are crazy and so are you. Now piss off. I think you have something to make up,' he snapped. I slammed the door shut and buried my face in my hands. I sat down on the stairs.
Two hands softly squeezed my shoulders. 'What do you want Skyla?' I sulked. She sat beside me on the stairs and wrapped her arm around my shoulders. 'Why can't you just obey me?' I asked. 'I did it because I care about you. Not to break your promise. I really missed you and I was worried about you.'
I had never heard her talk like this before. Firm and even a little stern. Usually she only whispers a few words. 'I will lose you if they figure it out, Skyla. How many times do I need to tell you that?' He asked. She shook her head and leaned into me. I can't really stay mad at her. I got up and pulled her with me towards the living room. With a blanket, we settled on the couch. She softly rubbed my scalp and held me. I didn't ask for it, she just did it. There hasn't been a femme who did that because she wanted it.
It makes me feel good and wanted for once. Taking her in hasn't been a mistake. I rested my head on her shoulder and glanced at her.
She softly cupped my cheek. 'What is it?' She whispered. 'Nothing, nothing,' I mumbled. 'I think you're the prettiest human female I have ever met,' I said. She started blushing and buried her face in my hair. 'Don't get shy on me now.' I heard her giggle and tightly hold me. She nuzzled her nose with mine before getting comfy, curled up against me.
I had probably more stress than she has at the moment. I know I can't keep her a secret forever, Sideswipe is at the base right now and Cooper seems to keep a very close optic on her lately.
