+ Chapter 26. This must be Cooper, the one who abused her so badly
I watched Skyla and Sunstreaker while sitting at the table. They're close. I haven't seen Sunstreaker so close to someone before. I felt a wave of jealousy wash over me. I have never be able to get so close to a girl before because of Sunstreaker and now he manages to get this gorgeous human female on his side. The femme wrapped her arms around his neck from behind and nuzzled in his neck. I sipped from my coffee. 'Morning, Skyla.' The femme sat down and smiled at me before grabbing some bread. It was quiet. Really quiet. 'Is it always this quiet?' I asked to break the silence. 'Yeah,' Sunstreaker replied without looking.
'Hey, Skyla? Shall we go into town today?' She looked at Sunstreaker. Seriously? Is she asking him permission? I raised a brow and looked my brother in the eyes. 'Where are you going with her?' He questioned. 'I don't know. Explore Washington DC,' I said and shrugged. Sunstreaker sighed. 'Alright, but be careful with my special girl,' he warned. Gosh he must really like her. He never called a femme that before. I rolled my eyes and snorted. 'Yeah, yeah.' Sunstreaker's eyes became hard. He was bloody serious about it. 'Don't worry, I'll bring her back in one piece,' I snorted.
While Skyla was upstairs, brushing her teeth after breakfast, Sunstreaker blocked my way. 'I am serious, okay? I don't want anything to happen to her and I don't want you to take her to the base. Prime doesn't know and he won't know about her as long as I can manage to keep her a secret. He'll never approve and Skyla means the world to me,' he warned. 'Yeah, yeah... don't worry so much, jeez.' I grabbed my leather jacket and watched Skyla walk downstairs and pull her snow boots on. She hugged, Sunstreaker. 'Alright, princess... see you soon,' she purred.
'Call Ratchet, Sunstreaker.' He rolled his eyes at me and waved his hand before shutting the front door.
She followed me towards my Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 2009. 'Nice car,' she signed. I smirked and opened the door for her. 'Of course,' I mocked while shutting the door of my side. I drove off. 'So, are you sure you're not dating him?' I asked to break the silence. She shook her head firmly. 'We have a complicated relationship, but we are not dating,' she signed. It wasn't an awkward silence that fell but I wanted a conversation. I parked my alt-more in downtown Washington as soon as I found a good spot and we started walking from here.
She was enjoying our walk, despite not talking but I guess I have to deal with that. She's not gonna talk. Maybe she'll start talking later, like my brother told me. We took a few turns but I noticed she started to slow down. 'Skyla.' The man walked up to her and she backed off. 'Leave her alone.'
'She knows me, isn't it?' He looked past me. This must be Cooper. The man who abused her so badly. 'Leave here alone,' I repeated. If something happens to her, Sunstreaker is going to chop me up in a million of pieces. The man pushed me aside and marched over to her. She fled. 'Skyla! I shoutef but it had no use. I glared daggers at the man. He shrugged and walked off. I had no time to confront him anyway. I had to find Skyla. Sunstreaker is definitely going to murder me. This is not a great start. Why did he had to show up now?
I searched for her, for more than an hour. I really started to freak out at this point. If I don't return soon, with Skyla, I am going to be in big trouble. After ten minutes, I found her in the alley. She seemed spooked and scared. 'You run off like that!' I shouted. She flinched and backed off. 'I wouldn't have let him touch!' I snapped. I was so frustrated, not only because of this.
I calmed myself down. 'You can't ran off,' I said irritated. Skyla was trembling and hyperventilating. This is great, she's having a panic attack as well. She backed off when I tried to touch her. 'Let's go back home,' I said eventually. I didn't know how to deal with her. I now spotted blood oozing from a nasty wound. How did she get that? I am screwed. 'Cone on.' I gestured to get to follow me. Sunny is going to murder me for sure. I was too scared to ask her what she was going to tell Sunstreaker. I felt anxious.
When we arrived, she ran upstairs and slammed the door of her room shut. Sunstreaker hadn't even time to question her. He stared at the stairs before looking at me with a deadly psychotic look on his face. 'This is not my fault. She got spooked by that man... Cooper but he hasn't touched her or anything. I swear, I made sure of that. She's just spooked,' I said and raised my hands. He's pissed. Sunstreaker walked upstairs without saying anything else.
((Sunstreaker's P.O.V))
I entered Skyla's room and caught her crying. I have never seen her cry before. I shut the door and sat beside her against the wall. 'Skyla?' I made her look at me. 'What's going on? What happened?' I asked. She hugged me. I comforted her and listened to her sobs and cries until it died down a little bit. 'Cooper, he walked up to me and Sideswipe hadn't seen the dagger he had in sleeve. He wanted to stab me and I got scared so I fled. Sideswipe was angry at me and started yelling... he hadn't seen the dagger.'
'It's okay. Your fine...' I lifted her chin. 'Where's this blood coming from?' I inspected her legs and found the source. 'Let's clean that up, okay?' She gave a small nod and allowed me to help her back up on her feet. She removed her pants and I laid down so I could clean up the wound. She whimpered a little bit. 'You have to go through this,' I said. She lifted her head, begging me to stop for a moment. I grabbed some medication from my room. She got it for me bi bet it will knock her out and help her relax.
Like I predicted, she was out in only minutes and I could continue patching her up. I covered her with the quilt before I left. 'You should've protected her,' I snapped as I saw my brother. 'I am sorry, okay! She didn't have to run off,' he scowled. 'She was scared, Sideswipe. You don't know her like I do. If you had seen the dagger, you would've understand why she got so scared.'
'Dagger?! He wasn't holding a dagger,' he snapped. I slammed him against the wall and tightly grabbed his throat. 'So, you're telling me she's lying?' He gulped. 'You think she made it all up? He had cut her before, he intended to sell her to the Decepticons and you think she's lying?' I snarled hatred. 'No, I just haven't seen the dagger she's talking about,' he cracked. 'In his sleeve, you idiot. You're not taking her out for a walk anymore,' I snapped.
'She doesn't have a manual... I don't understand that femme at all,' he snapped. I tightened my grip on his throat at the point was so choking him. 'Don't ever talk about her like again. She's a sweet femme and I bought her, she's mine and o decide what will happen to her. I thought you would understand. Guess I was wrong,' I snapped and dropped him before walking upstairs again.
