+ Chapter 24. You really are talktive today, huh?'

Fear clutched onto my stomach as I spotted Sunstreaker. He burst through the door like he owned the place, in a daze. I have never seen him like this before. His eyes were soulless. Like the Sunny I know what's there at all. I backed off while he threw a glass on the floor. He paced around so sat down. He was freaking me out a little bit and this was so different than I have seen before. I shouldn't be in his way. I retreated to my room and sat down in the window sill.

I jolted say he burst through the door. Holding his sharp, eight inch long kitchen knife. Was he going to hurt me with that. I slowly slid off the window sill. 'I hate humans,' he snarled. I didn't move or made a sound. 'They don't decide for me to hat I am going to do! They are a bad influence,' he shouted. I spotted nasty wounds. He was injured and in pain as well definitely didn't help to get him in a better mood. Something was stuck in his right side. 'It's okay. You're right, you don't have to listen to humans. You make your own choices.' He calmed down a bit after I said that. I slowly approached. 'Here, give me your knife,' I said quietly. He let me take it and place it on the desk.

His eyes were so scary. They were soulless and had a psychotic look. 'That looks nasty... let me clean that up for you, okay?' He gave a small nod and sat down in the arm chair. I grabbed a few things and approached him. Without saying anything, I gently removed his shirt. A piece of wood from a desk or chair. I gently grabbed it and started to pull it out. Sunstreaker's breathing hitched but he didn't make a single sound. 'I am sorry.' I laid it aside and pressed on the wound. 'Hold this, please.' He did as instructed and let me move on to his shoulder. The bullet was still in there.

I patched him up in the best way I could and removed all the energon from his body. I laid him down on my bed. 'Thank you.' I smiled weakly and kissed the back of his hand. 'Don't be upset.' He gave a small shook of his head. 'You really are talkative today, huh?' He asked. I shrugged. 'I will get you some painkillers, alright?' Sunstreaker nodded and shifted a little. He was bruised all over. Obviously he had a serious wrestling.

I got him some painkillers and different clothing. His comfy red gingham pj pants and hoody. I helped him change. He was in a lot of pain, but he was good at keeping it a secret. As he finally laid down, I rubbed his scalp and cheek. 'I am fine,' he said. I shook my head. 'You're not. You want to talk about it?' He sighed. 'It started that Prowl told me I abuse my brother. Sure, we have arguments but every sibling has arguments, you know. It's not something disturbing or new. Yes, we fought, we have punched and kicked each other but that's what happens sometimes. You can't always expect things to go right and we aren't always on the same page. Prowl associated it with abuse. He kept rambling things out and I got so furious. I killed six people, maybe seven if I did it right but Ironhide interrupted and we fought.'

I sighed softly and I kissed his forehead. 'He said I didn't have a spark and that it was good for Sideswipe to be away from me. I miss him.' I smiled weakly at him and ran my hand through his soft silky blonde hair. 'I know you have a spark. We don't need anyone else, only each other,' I whispered. I laid down beside him on my side, under the quilt and softy rubbed his abs. 'He'll come back.' He snorted and kissed my head. 'Yeah, one day, Primus knows how that wil go.' I shook my head. 'He's your twin. He's loyal to you. You don't have to be the same, even for twins. Don't worry, he loves you and he will always be there for you.'

He rested his head against me. I gently rubbed his scalp and cheek. 'I am not gonna do that stupid mission,' he sneered. I kissed his face. I stayed with him until he was out. The painkillers are strong and give him more relaxation as well. I covered him and left a note that I was out for a couple of hours. I took Sunstreaker's ID card and left. He's going to murder me if he figures out what I am going to do. I took the back entrance. The base was gigantic and I had trouble finding my way.

I found the medbay and sat down, waiting. Ratchet passed but stopped hallway. 'Skyla? What on earth are you doing here?' He asked. 'Talk.' I signed. He stared at me for several minutes before he gave a nod and gestured me to follow him. 'What has he done? He was completely upset and rambling out about things Prowl said to him? Why?'

Ratchet shrugged. 'I don't know... it's partly my fault. I told him that Lennox wanted to assign him for a mission. He ant handle it when people tell him what to do. Has he said something about that to you?' I nodded. 'He was beyond furious. I have never seen him so furious as today. He left calmly and came back like a... maniac.'

'That's a side you need to deal with more often. He's not always nice when he looses it,' he said. 'Does he know?' I shook my head. He shut the door of his office. 'How is Lennox doing?' Ratchet sighed, 'got stabbed twice in the stomach. Sunstreaker sincerely hates him... he'll try again till he's dead. Ironhide won't be able to protect him from Sunstreaker forever.'

'Isn't there anything I can do?' I signed. 'There isn't much you can do.' I sighed and nodded. 'Is he hurt?' I nodded again. 'He got shot and stabbed. Lots of bruising and it looks really nasty. I patched him up, removed the bullets. I gave him some pain killers that knocked him out. I came for some extra,' I signed. He nodded and got up. The door swung open. 'Ratchet—'

The guy looked quite young, just a little older than Sunstreaker. 'Uhm.'
'This is Jolt, also a doctor here,' Ratchet said. I got up and shook his hand. 'Close the door, Jolt.' The mech shut the door after shaking my hand. 'This is Skyla. She doesn't talk,' Ratchet said. 'Oh, nice to meet you... you're the daughter of a soldier or...?' He asked. 'Skyla is Uhm... are you his girlfriend or just friends?' I shrugged. 'I don't know. It's complicated. Housemate I think the best description,' I signed. 'Housemate?' I nodded and glanced at Jolt. 'Sunstreaker saved her and took her in. She's living with him for six months now,' Ratchet said. 'Sunstreaker? Right... we are talking about the same serial killer?' He asked.

I gave a small nod. 'It stays a secret. I promised Sunstreaker. The reason I tell you is that if something is wrong, you know about her, clear?' Jolt nodded hesitatingly. 'Y-yeah.' He scratched the back of his neck. 'For real?' I nodded. 'This is uh... trippy. Sunstreaker hates humans...' he scowled. 'I know. He does have a sweet side and he has never hurt me or got mad at me before. If you know his boundaries, he's a really good and funny friend. That he's different shouldn't matter. We have the same hard past. My parents dumped me at an orphanage. I got beaten up, raped, isolated... I have been through a lot and so has he. I think we understand each other.'

'Does he know you're here?'

I shook my head. 'No, he doesn't know and he doesn't have to know. I'll tell him when I get back,' I signed. 'Alright, well good luck.' He was brief and hostile. I turned towards Ratchet when Jolt had left. 'Don't take it personally.'
'When I mentioned Sunstreaker he didn't like me anymore.'
'It's not your fault, Skyla. He's not popular, that's all,' he said. I gave a small nod. 'Alright, we'll I can better go then.' I grabbed my jacket. 'He'll keep it a secret.' I gave a small nod and signed 'goodbye' before I left.

I kept thinking about Jolt while walking back home. I pushed open the door of the front door. 'Skyla!' Sunstreaker roared and marched over to me. I shut the door. 'Medicines,' I muttered and showed him the inside of the bag. His anger faded while I passed him. 'You're okay?' He asked. I nodded and unpacked the bag. 'Sit down please.' He sat down and removed his sweater. 'You didn't see the note I left?' I signed.

He sighed. Sunstreaker lifted my chin. 'What's wrong?' He asked. 'Nothing,' I mumbled and started to work on his wounds. Stitching him up. 'Where did you get them from?' I asked. 'Ratchet,' I signed. He tightly grabbed my wrist. 'You went to the base?' He snapped. 'Yes, for you. Because you're in pain and I don't like seeing that,' I said. He didn't let go. 'I don't want you to ever go there again.' His eyes were hard. 'Am.I.Clear?' He tightened his grip on my arm. It felt like he could snap my wrist in two if he'd like. He has so much strength in his arms and body in general.

'I wanted to help you.'
'I don't need help. Now promise me,' he snapped. 'Alright, alright... I am sorry,' I whispered. Sunstreaker let go of me and sat back, allowing me to work on his chest.
