06: Dinner

"You remember that phone call?" Taehyung looked at Hoseok, already on the verge of breaking into laughter.

"Y-yes I do." Hoseok was on the verge too.

"What's so funny?" Namjoon asked, perking his ears ready to listen.

"It's not even that funny." I rolled my eyes.

They we're talking about that time Soomin called me and Taehyung grabbed my phone...

"Funny y-you ask Hyung-" Tae couldn't hold in his laughter anymore. Neither could Hoseok.

"You're drunk already, aren't you?" Yoongi shrugged at his two younger brothers, who wasn't able to inform the other's about the phone call.

"They're talking about my friend calling you a snack. I don't know why it's so funny, but here they are." I said, leaning over Jimin so Namjoon could hear me.

"Y-yes that. And a-also-"

Wait
That's not the only thing they heard...

It was only now I remembered that I had told them about how I kept talking about Jungkook once. I was under pressure, okay??

"...and nothing!" I said through gritted teeth, putting my hand over the drunk Tae next to me's mouth.

I continued through gritted teeth into his ear, "I went to that club with you so you would forget about that. You promised me not to say anything!"

"EW!" I then yelled, the feeling of a warm, wet tongue swiping across my palm. I removed my hand and dried it on Tae's own shirt, "You're gross!"

Taehyung just starting laughing again...but he kept his mouth shut.

Time went by quickly and we had already been talking nonstop for the past 2 hours, when the unwanted, but expected questions was asked. I had tried avoiding talking about myself by asking how the other's lives were going and prying about BTS super secret information... no luck unfortunately.

It went well so far, but I guess the questions couldn't be avoided.

"How are you doing these days Haru?" Yoongi turned to me.

Did he really have to sound like an old family member who hadn't seen me for years?

"I'm doing fine." I smiled. I lied.

Well if you look apart from my mother turning against me, my teacher hating me, Seung coming back to school and my father still not talking to me... I'm doing great

I wasn't doing the worst actually. It was the incident with my mom we had just before I left this afternoon that was really bothering me.

"That smile looks forced." Yoongi said again.

"Well, there's just a lot to do in school at the moment."

"So much that you didn't have time to miss us?" Hoseok asked in a sweet tone.

"Nooo, I missed you guys a lot." I smiled, then turned my head to Jimin, "You can ask him how much I missed you."

"Jeez, you're here with them now." Jimin rolled his eyes, but with a smile.

"Ya Jimin! You're gonna pay for keeping Haru away from us for so long." Hoseok said and the other's hummed in agreement.

"It's a good thing that Jimin has a soft spot for me and can't say no." I teased and leant into him.

"I said no the first 100 times." Jimin lowly scoffed.

"But you do have a soft spot for me, don't you?" I kept on teasing.

"Can you two please continue your flirting or whatever you're doing at home when I'm not there?" Yoongi spoke, faking a gag.

"How's it going at home?" Hoseok interrupted with a sly smile.

"How it's going at home? Like my home?" I said with a sudden nervous chuckle.

"Yeah, your home, who else's? We all live together." Tae uttered, also with a sly smile.

"Um... that's a boring subject, you guys need one more shot?" I avoided the question.

Jimin's hand stroke up and down my back. He knew how it was at home. Well almost. I let out minor details. What he knew was that my mom and I were at odds these days. While it actually had been going on for more than just 'these days' and I felt like she would kick me out anytime. Of course, I knew she would never do that, she's my mom, she would never. That was just how I felt sometimes.

"It's not boring. How's your room?" Hoseok kept going.

"My room?"

My room? What about my room?

As Hoseok lifted his eyebrows, sending me a well-known look, I figured.

Oh... so that's why they asked

"Ohhh, my room. It's fine, clean. Clean from any insects and junkies." I said, eyeing him back.

He immediately got my reference and leant backwards laughing, then sat up again as he realized, "Hey! I was on that-"

"What about her room?" Tae luckily interrupted Hoseok. I killed Hoseok with my eyes, while Taehyung kept looking at me with a puzzled face.

"Junkies??" Namjoon joined the conversation.

"Yes, no junkies." I smiled and joined Hoseok's laughing.

I had told Hoseok about my wall with Jungkook pictures on the tour. I told him almost everything. Except for the 'sneaking around with my technically boyfriend's best friend'. I wasn't proud of it.

"Ya! What's so funny, tell me!" Taehyung seemed slightly annoyed. Just slightly.

"Wait, what did you think we were talking about?" I asked.

Hoseok's eyes shot to Taehyung's and they both got silent.

"Anyways, we never got to say goodbye to you in the airport~" Hoseok pouted, switching the topic back to 'why were you crying in the airport'.

Can't they just forget it?

"Hoseok almost cried on the car ride home." Namjoon teased his older brother.

All of them were apparently in on changing the topic...

"Ya! I wasn't the only one in a low mood! How about..." Hoseok and the other's kept shooting back and forth about who were and who weren't crying in the car.

I didn't really listen. My mind had wandered off to somewhere else. Only Jungkook knew why I had been crying. Not even Jimin knew. I couldn't tell him. Jungkook's cold heart broke mine and I didn't want any of them to know.

"Haaaru?" Jin waved his hand in front of my eyes.

"Oh yeah, sorry, what?" I said zoning back in.

Some of the other's started laughing.

"Didn't you get enough sleep tonight? I thought that nap of yours during our rehearsals would have done wonders." Jin spoke.

I shrugged at him.

Jimin turned to me and smiled, "Still hungover?" he whispered.

I shook my head in denial, "I'm just tired, I only got 3 or 4 hours of sleep."

"That much??" He faked a gasp and I nudged him.

"I'm used getting double the amount of sleep. Stop teasing me." I whined and rested my head on his shoulder.

My eyelids were heavy and the small amount of liquor certainly didn't help. Mixed with my tiredness and that I hadn't eaten that much food yet, the alcohol had already started to kick in.

As my head rested on Jimin's shoulder, I noticed Jungkook in the corner, rummaging with the food on his plate. You could tell by his face how much he didn't want to be there.

Yeah sure, I was dumb and really annoying him, but he could at least enjoy the night out with his friends and ignore me. It's not like I'm a loud person anyway. He teared my mood down just a little, by the sharp grey cloud above his head reminding me every minute, of how much he actually disliked me.

It was bothering me yes.

I lifted my head, still my eyes on the party-pooper in the corner, "What's on your mind Jungkook?"

The table silenced and turned to look at the youngest, as if they only just now realized his silence.

"You look so... annoyed? Uptight? Edgy?"

His eyes shot up to mine.

Oh yes. He hates me

"Haru, you sound drunk, are you already drunk?? I am, let's all be drunk." Hoseok, the lightweight, mumbled from across me, easing the tension and saving Jungkook from answering.

Hoseok raised a glass, ready to do cheers, but Yoongi grabbed his hand, lowering it again.

"I think you got enough to drink for tonight Hoseok."
