05: Reunion

I woke up with a throbbing head ache and an awfully dry mouth.

Damn it Soomin

Checking the clock, I realized I woke up early. Earlier than I expected. 8 am on a Saturday? Not acceptable. However, I tried, but couldn't fall asleep again. My stomach was turning and my head was a living hell.

I got up from my bed, to get the painkillers I bought last week for the same purpose... but as I stood up on my legs, I ran to the bathroom and yeah... vomited.

Wiping my forehead free of sweat pearls, leaning against the toilet I heard footsteps outside the bathroom door.

Please don't come in please don't

Luckily I had locked the door, cause the handle was pressed down just after.

"Finish up, I have work in half an hour." My dad's voice let out from the other side of the door. The sound of footsteps getting further and further away, made me breathe out in relief.

When I got home last night, both of my parents seemingly was sleeping. It was totally quiet in the house and no lights were on. But I knew my mom wasn't gonna be happy I was home past 12 am again... and further four hours.

I had to hold on until the afternoon when I was gonna catch a bus to the studio Jimin and the other's were rehearsing at...

I quickly flushed the toilet and brushed my teeth. I also really needed a shower, but I decided to wait till later.

I unlocked the door, quickly heading to my own room across the bathroom, not to meet any grumpy parents on my way.

Just as I closed the door to my room, I heard the bathroom door close.

Phew

I went to my bedside table, grabbed a painkiller and swallowed it immediately.

Sitting down on my bed again and resting against the headboard, I grabbed my phone to check the time again. 8:20.

Jimin had told me to come at 4 pm, meaning I would take the bus at 3.

This is gonna be a long day...

Avoiding a potential grumpy mother for that long, was gonna be a challenge.

Luckily I made it! I succeeded going to the kitchen once, without getting caught. I wasn't hungry at all... but I needed some food to get some energy. I got to take a shower too, and all without my mother noticing me!

Mission completed.

The last challenge now, was to get out of the house without getting caught.

I stood in front of my mirror for a long time. I really just wanted to keep my sweatpants and Jimin's t-shirt on... my headache was almost gone, but now my head just felt heavy and tired and I wasn't in the mood to wear something besides sweats.

Eventually, I pulled myself together and slid on some jeans and a crop top. And a cap. The sun was burning outside.

That's somewhat presentable

I thought, looking at myself in the mirror.

I grabbed my phone and cautiously walked towards the exit of hell and out in the free.

"Haru." The devil herself stopped me, just as I put my hand on the door handle.

Well, she wasn't really a devil, but I like being dramatic.

I painfully turned around and saw my mother in the doorway between the living room and kitchen.

This really is not my day

"Where are you going?" She questioned with a calm voice, which was seemingly a good sign.

"I'm going to meet Jimin." I smiled.

"And why do you think you're doing that?"

"Um... because we agreed to meet now?"

"Haru, don't start with the attitude." She warned, "You're not going."

"What!? Mom you can't just-"

"Haru! You came home late and I suppose drunk last night, am I right!? I told you I would give you one last chance! You didn't listen! You're staying- Haru! Haru come back right now-"

Her voice disappeared as I smacked the door behind me.

She couldn't keep me at home. I wasn't a prisoner... and I even told her I was gonna be with Soomin for the night! She shouldn't have been surprised. And she definitely should not be the one to ruin my day, when I finally got to see my friends again after what felt like an eternity.

I ran to the bus stop, now running a little late as my mom had to start an argument once again. Luckily, I made it to the bus stop just in time.

I'll deal with my mom when I get home... hopefully tomorrow and no sooner

A faint sound of music came from two big doors at the end of the hallway. As Jimin didn't pick up when I called him, I had to get in by myself. Luckily the guards recognized me and let me in right away. I leaped happily towards the doors, assuming the boys were practicing behind them, as they had a sign literally saying 'practice room'.

My heart was pounding, I was so nervous. But also so excited. I hadn't seen them in person in two months! I of course followed them on social media so I'd seen them on there, but they wouldn't know which one of the million likes was mine.

I opened the door and got startled by the way too loud music. Outside the door it was just a faint sound.

This room have to be triple soundproof

I put my hands over my ears, but soon felt arms wrapping around me and a smell of sweat overwhelming me.

"HARUUU!!" A lot of high pitched male voices yelled as I was attacked with a group hug from sweaty boys.

"Hi guys!!!" I laughed, wanting to embrace them all with my arms, but Jimin had glued his arms around my torso, keeping my own arms clenched down the side of my body.

"Jimin! Move, you see her every day!" Hoseok growled while everyone took a step back as Jimin was in the way.

"But I still missed her!" Jimin growled back.

"Move!" Tae shoved Jimin away from me in one push and I was free to breathe.

But not for so long, cause just after Hoseok was clinging to me.

"I said she could come if she wasn't gonna be a distraction. I have to see this choreography through one more time, then I'll give you a short break so you can catch up, understood?"

The boys hummed as answer to their manager, Sejin, whom had stepped behind them with crossed arms.

Hoseok let go of me and they all went back to their positions, only just now I noticed Jungkook didn't greet me at all. He hadn't even looked at me. His eyes were fixed on himself in the mirror while running through a few steps.

But I wasn't bothered. I didn't want to talk to him anyways. I wasn't holding a grudge against him, I just didn't care about him anymore.

The manager turned to me before starting the music again, "Great to see you again Haru." He smiled and I bowed politely in return.

"Okay guys, I'll give you a 10 minute break." Sejin spoke after turning off the music.

"Come on Hyung, 30 minutes!" Taehyung whined.

"No, Jimin already made you get off early. We need to finish practicing so you'll be ready. I'm being nice."

"Ready for what?" I whisper-asked Jimin, who had made his way next to me. His arm was wrapped around my waist, keeping me close.

"Just a performance coming up soon. It's for the MMAs."

"So you're not gonna perform your own songs?" I asked as I recognized the Shinwa song they were rehearsing to.

"Of course we are," Jimin laughed, "But also this one."

"Jimin, now let go of her, we only got 7 minutes left." Jin eyed Jimin.

"Hyung, didn't you hear what Sejin-hyung just told you? I made us get off early. We'll have dinner afterwards," Jimin turned to me, "and you'll join, right Princess?"

"Yes! Yes! Of course I will! Thank you!" I exclaimed, jumping up and down in excitement.

The boys went to pad Jimin's back, while I took a step back. My heart was fluttering, as I watched the black haired man I adored so much. I couldn't help but smile.

He actually listened to me this time

"Haru! I've missed you so much!" Hoseok went and gave me another hug.

Then the hurricane of questioned overwhelmed me.

"Why has it been so long?"

"How are you?"

"Why haven't you contacted us earlier?"

"Why didn't you text me?"

"Guys chill out! I'm great-" I spoke

"Why were you crying in the airport back then?" Taehyung once again uttered without consideration.

My smile faded for a moment and Namjoon slapped Taehyung in the back of his head. I shook my head and put up a smile again and switched the subject back to the other questions.

"As I said, I'm good. Why I didn't text you? You never gave me your number." I nudged Hoseok, who's own fault it was.

"And why I haven't contacted you guys earlier?" I eyed Jimin, "Ask this idiot."

I pointed at Jimin, sacrificing him as it was all his fault.

The members' eyes turned to Jimin, except for Jungkook's, who was still in the back not even throwing me a single glance. Slowly they turned towards Jimin with a threatening look on their faces.

"Bangtan, time's up, two hours and you're free to go." Sejin called out, saving Jimin last minute.

"You're lucky." Yoongi, the most intimidating one in this situation, pointed a finger right at Jimin.

They turned back around and went back to their positions again.

As Jimin passed me, with a chuckle he said, "Seriously Haru? You had to expose me like that?"

"You deserved it." I huffed and pointed my chin at the ceiling.
