Occupation: his day job depends on the scenario. However, he gets most of his money through gambling; he is a serious casino/card shark. If he is a vampire, he works as a dealer at the Bank of Lucifer casino.

Appearance: Wesley has short black hair which is generally slightly messy, but not to the degree that it looks unkempt. He has brown eyes. He is white and of average male height. He generally dresses semi-formally due to the kinds of establishments he frequents; he would rather be taken seriously by those he interacts with, especially his opponents in games.

Personality: Wesley is a charming fellow, a necessary trait for one who wishes to get others to indulge them in games of chance. He knows how to be sly and has a serious poker-face, honed over years of practice. He will never lie to you outside of a game, however; trust is conducive to his "trade" after all. Wesley is anything but a coward and will take note of anyone who shows any sign or fear or nervousness at a challenge. He respects the decision of those she don't engage in his kind of hobbies at all, but when an established gambler chickens out, he won't respect them anymore. His motivations are never clear; he doesn't seem like the greedy type...In reality, he likes the thrill of the game, and he is very much a risk-taker even when away from the gaming table. In spite of what may appear to be a reckless nature, however, he is very intelligent and observant-you have to be in order to be successful at what he does. He's very good at reading people and spotting signs of deceit, and he is good at thinking on his feet.
Whether you should trust him or not....well, that's your gamble, isn't it.

Likes: games, anything that involves gambling, getting one over on people (especially those that consider themselves to be good at what they do, think they are better than him or think they've got him all figured out), thrilling activities, figuring people out, fine food and drink (including alcohol, though only if others are drinking too-it impairs one's judgment, but if he can convince his opponents to drink, that will only help him),

Dislikes: the kind of snobby high-class types who inevitably show up at any casino, cowards and weak-willed people, having to admit defeat (he'll never let on that he's at all rattled by it though), people who don't trust him (especially if they haven't even interacted with him yet), buzzkills,

Backstory (if vampire): Wesley was born in 1800. He was turned when he was just a month shy of his nineteenth birthday. He was playing a game of baccarat against a vampire (he did not know it was a vampire of course) who promised him a mysterious prize, the kind that could not be attained anywhere else, if Wesley beat him. Wesley was intrigued and accepted the challenge, and he did indeed win. His opponent accepted defeat and gave him a special VIP ticket to a secret casino he ran and told him to meet there the next night to accept his prize. Wesley was intrigued and met at the luxurious VIP room at the Bank of Lucifer Casino (a secret vampires-only casino).

It was there that his opponent offered him a job at the casino as a game dealer, which Wesley accepted, not having any employment at that time and this seemed right up his alley. His new employer then presented him with a glass of crimson liquid and told him to drink it. Wesley, being a gambler by nature even away from the cards table, drank the liquid without question, and was then told about the existence of vampires and that he was now a thrall, and would be Turned into a full fledged vampire upon winning a certain amount of money for the house. It did not take Wesley long to meet his quota, in fact he did it more quickly than any other dealer had managed before him or since, and as promised, in a ceremony in that same VIP room, he was Turned.

At some time he met Marius and joined the Fleur de Lis coven.

Unfortunately, at some point, the Bank of Lucifer got shut down when human law enforcement  started poking around and it was deemed unsafe as a vampiric establishment. It was not long after this that Marius offered Wesley the job of Head of Security for Nyte, since Wesley's keen observational skills would be useful in sniffing out troublemakers, and his keenness for thrills and willingness to take risks meant he was not afraid of the prospect of confrontation should it come to that. It also meant he could keep the human bouncers  in line if any of them tried to take advantage of their position in any way.
