I froze. I was frozen in my spot. I didn't know what was happening. Well, actually I know, but I was numb. Aldan was kissing me. His lips were on mine. Like lips to lips. His lips were soft. Too soft. But the worst thing was, I was kissing him back. His lips moved with mine in sync. I didn't know what I was doing but whatever it was, it felt good. Like I just needed it.

His hands came up to my face, lightly holding my face.

What the hell are you doing? My mind screamed at me making me open my eyes and look at Aldan whose eyes were closed and his hands were cupping my face.

My eyes widened. I broke the kiss roughly pushing him away and slapping him right across the face, "What the hell do you think your doing? "

I could feel my lips swelling. This was freaking unacceptable.

He clenched his jaw and shrugged looking at me. Hurt flashing over his green eyes.

My breathing was heavy now. "Aldan you just kissed me! What were you trying to do, shut me up?" I exclaimed. I could feel my tears dry on my face.

"You kissed me back! " he argued looking at me.

Okay, he had a point.

But I also have a point.

"Well you kissed me first! "

See?

He didn't say anything, he was just looking at me, emotionless.

I stood there glaring at him.

He stood there too looking at me.

Talk about awkward.

I sighed and licked my lips feeling like that's what I should've done, but as soon as my tongue came out to wet my lips, I winced at a sudden pain that went through my lips. I brought my finger up to my lips, aware that Aldan was watching me attentively, and touched my lips and brought my pointer up to my lips seeing blood.

My eyes widened, "You bit me!"

He raised his eyebrows and smirked like nothing just happen at all.

"Aldan you bit my lips! "

He shrugged, "I didn't. You pulled away and probably tore it or something. "

I gaped at him. "You know what, forget that this ever happened. Everything. My ranting, my crying and especially this thing that happened between us." I said motioning in the space between the two of us.

I wasn't sad anymore. I was angry at myself for kissing Aldan back, angry at Aldan for kissing me first and angry that this was getting beyond awkward now.

I sighed and ran my hand through my blonde locks.

"I'm going home," I say in a low voice and trying to walk past him.

But he held my wrist and pulled me back.

"Wait, " he said softly.

I pull my hand away from him and turn to look at him, "What Aldan? "

He turned slowly and looked me in the eyes. His face grew serious. He seemed concerned. Like he was hurt. He stood there looking at me. It was weird for me because he looked at me for quite a long time and I was expecting him to say that I had something on my face and laugh at me. But he didn't.

"I'm sorry," he finally said inaudibly almost I couldn't hear him. "I'm sorry for hurting you and making you hate everything. I'm sorry they hurt you because of me."

He stared at me. His green eyes boring into my blue ones.

I was feeling weird. This was weird. Why was he apologizing? I mean, I knew that he was a jerk but he was also a good guy when he wanted to be. But he apologized to me like all I saw in him was a monster. Like I didn't see any good in him.

Yes, to answer your question. I did see good in him. Actually, I know he was a good guy. But I sometimes get blinded by all the bad things he's done to me that I kind of forget all the good things he's done, that's if I still can remember them.

I sigh and say slowly, "It's okay. "

After that, I turn around and get inside my car, deciding that I wanted to go to Starbucks. Leaving Aldan stand in the parking lot.

But as I turn my car and drive, I looked back and I swear I thought I saw him talking to Mandy.

I parked my Jaguar in the lot of Starbucks and walked inside. Ordering the same thing that I always order, I go and try to find my seat.

I feel my phone buzz in my pocket and slip my hand inside the pocket of my gym clothes -- yes I'm still in my gym clothes, and pull it out. With my eyes glued on the screen, I see that it was a message from my mom reminding me about dinner tonight.

I totally forgot about that, I mentally groan and text her back trying to let her know that I had work.

Birthgiver: No excuses! I already talked to Michael. He's making an exception for a night off. I know, I'm a super mom aren't I?

I rolled my eyes and groaned as her message. Seriously woman! So, I guess trying to avoid an awkward dinner with the Princes' is a no go. And also trying to avoid an even awkward moment between Aldan is a double no go.

Great.

"Are you following me? " I hear someone ask. I look up startled only to find that it was-

"Cody Baker, " I smirk, "Just about to ask you the same question. Stalking isn't good you know. "

"Meeting twice in one day. Must be a sign, " he said chuckling.

I raised my eyebrows, "True. Morning and now, afternoon. It is kind of weird."

"Done with school? "

"Nope. You? "

He scoffed, "Nope. "

"I kind of feel like I didn't go to school at all. I just kind of bunked school the whole day I think. "

He rolled his eyes, "Right."

"What about you? "

He smirked, "I hate school. I bunked classes too. I mean, at least you went back to school right? "

"I did. Didn't you? "

"Didn't you hear that part where I said I bunked classes? "

I gave a huge smile, "I have my blonde moments."

He nodded his head smiling. "Nah, I just drove around. I kinda had a really bad morning so I guess that's probably the main reason why I bunked. "

"Same. "

I sigh and type a quick reply to my mom who keeps telling me that she'll lock me out of the house if I skip the dinner and put my phone in my pocket.

"Can't skip family dinner?" he asked nodding towards my phone.

I frown, "How did you-"

"Same thing here, " he smirked raising his eyebrow.

"You're kinda freaky," I shake my head slightly smiling.

"It's a gift, " he said referring to what I was saying this morning when we were talking.

"Right, " I say chuckling.

We both took the same seats we did in the morning and started talking again. I didn't know much about him. We just talked about our bad mornings and what happened-- well at least I did. When I asked what happened on his side of the story, he would just shrug and say it wasn't that good.

I told him about the bullying with Mandy, about what happened the first time I came to Starbucks in the morning and the reason I bucked morning classes. Then I told him about Aldan. I know, he's a total stranger, but I guess I just wanted to tell someone.

"You kissed him back?" he asked me.

I sighed, "I'm a terrible person. I know I shouldn't have but, I don't know. I guess my mouth has a mind of its own. "

He cleared his throat, "Aldan Prince huh?"

I nod, "Yeah."

He didn't say anything else, I stead he just took a sip of his drink.

Awkward silence fell over us so I decided to break it. Like I always do.

"How do you know him? " I ask suddenly. He looked taken aback by my sudden question and looked up at me.

"Well, we kinda don't get along," he simply stated. I noticed him clenching his jaw, and decided that I shouldn't ask more questions.

"Oh okay cool. Sorry for asking, " I said sighing.

Again with the awkward silence.

Cody stood up.

"Um.. Okay good talk, " I say smiling at him.

He smiled back and looked at me, "I'm not going anywhere dummy. C'mon. "

He nods his head towards the door and looks at me.

"Huh? "

"Let's go. I wanna take you somewhere. "

I frown, "Can I trust you not to kill me? "

He smirked, "You can. "

"How do I know if you're not a rapist? "

He rolled his yes, "Because... If I was a rapist, I would've already raped you. "

I blinked. "Wait a sec-

He rolled his eyes, "Just shut up and follow me. "

He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of Starbucks making our away from the shop.

"Wait, what about my car? "

He stopped and looked at me, "We can come back for it later. Chill. "

I rolled my eyes, "Whatever! But if something happens to it, you're dead. "

He chuckled, still holding onto my wrist. He led me past a couple of other cars and then finally we came to stop in front of a motorcycle. The motorcycle was dark black. Kind of gave it that bad boy ring. Especially since Cody was the owner, it made perfect sense.

"Where's you car? " I ask stupidly.

"Say hello to Max. "

My eyes widened as I looked at the beauty. It was gorgeous.

"Why are your eyes getting real big? " he scoffed. "Have you seen a motorcycle before or you've never seen it? "

"I've seen one before dummy, " I roll my eyes.

"Than why do you look like you're gonna get a heart attack or something? "

"I've seen one.... I've just... Never been on one. "

He turned and looked at me. A smirk forming perfectly on his face. "Well... Consider this your first."

"Okay, " I sigh nervously.

"Ready? " he asked turning around to look at me.

I sigh again and take out my phone to check the time. It was 2:23 pm. I slipped it back inside my pocket and looked back at him.

"I was born ready."
