  After a particularly bad beating when I was in the 8th grade, you found me in an alleyway, sobbing to my heart's content. You picked me up and took me to your home. You cleaned my wounds and did the same thing you always did. Sing me to sleep. You are always so mature. It makes sense since you are a year older. I always felt safe your warm embrace, your heart beating frantically with an unknown reason. Your heartbeat always helped calm me. But this time was different. I think this was the time, in which I realized I fell in love with you.
