Darkness. Pure and completely nothing.

“Rosalie, you have to get out of here!”

“No!” She screamed. “I’m not leaving without you!” Tears were streaming down her bright red face as she screamed in agony. “Don’t go, please. I need you, Phil.”

“Rosie, I’m sorry. I don’t want to leave you, but there’s no way to fix this.” I was crying too, my sister will be alone without me. “Take care of Magpie for me.” Magpie was my cherished stuffed animal when I was younger, I’ve never let anyone touch it.

When I said that she realized that there’s nothing else the doctors could do and that I’d given up hope as well. “I’ll make sure she stays safe. Tell Daisy I miss her when you see her.” Daisy, our chocolate lab who died three years ago when Rosie was five, was our only pet.

“I love you, Rosie, more than you’ll ever know. I know it’ll be hard but you have to keep up hope. Take care of Mom and Dad for me. “I wish I had more time with you.”

“I’ll miss you forever. Don’t forget about me.”

I gasped and I can feel that this is the end. “No… I love you Phillipa.” were the last words I ever heard.
