"Rose Tyler-"

"I love you." Rose sobbed.
"Quite right, too. And I guess if it's my last chance to say it... Rose Tyler-" And he faded away. On the TARDIS, a tear rolled down his cheek. He never got to say it back. And so, he did the one thing he could think to do.
He solemnly entered coordinates into his console. Once the TARDIS landed, he walked out the door. He didn't know what year he landed in, nor did he care. When he opened the door, there was an old pub in Cardiff there. He walked inside and ordered some whiskey. That's when he saw a familiar face.
"Doctor?" The man asked.
"Hello, Jack."
"I thought I heard the TARDIS, but I realized this was a bar. The Doctor doesn't go to bars."
"He does now." He took a sip of his whiskey and recoiled a bit. He wasn't used to the taste of alcohol.
"So where's Rose?" Jack asked with a smile. The Doctor nearly cried at the sound of her name, but he held back his tears.
"She's gone." He muttered. Jack's smile went away.
"Gone where?" He asked.
"Far away. Out of my reach."
"How can she be-" The Doctor gave him a silencing look. He drank down his last swallow of whiskey. He ordered another. "Doctor, I'm so sorry."
"Don't, Jack. Please, just... don't." Jack sat down next to him.
"Is she still alive?" He asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Yes. She's alive. Parallel dimension. Nearly got sucked into the void with the Daleks and the Cybermen."
"You mean the Battle of Canary Wharf?" The Doctor looked at him.
"The what?" He took another sip of whiskey.
"That's what they called it, the Battle of Canary Wharf. The Daleks and the Cybermen."
"What year is it?"
"2014."
"Ah. Twenty-fourteen. Good year. Except for Robin Williams, that was terrible."
"What happened to Robin Williams?"
"Nothing." He replied quickly. He took another quick swallow.
"So, about Rose. Did you get to say goodbye?" The Doctor felt a pain in his hearts, but he didn't show it.
"Sort of."
"What do you mean, sort of?"
"I appeared to her as a hologram. She told me she loved me, but... I didn't have enough time to say it back." There was a brief pause until Jack spoke up.
"Doctor, you've gotta get your emotions out."
"I thought I was." Jack half smiled.
"I don't just mean talking to me. What would be the best way to express how you feel about Rose?" And the Doctor was inspired.
"I believe I know." He finished his whiskey and got up to leave. He was slightly buzzed, but he managed.
"Where are you going?" Jack called after him.
"Back to the TARDIS!" He yelled just before walking out the door. He went into his blue box and fetched a pen and paper. He would write. He would just keep on writing. He would write to his pink and yellow Rose.
