''Wake up!''
Devin let's out a groan, rolling over to the opposite side of the person that attacked her in the comfort of her bed.
''It's a Saturday,'' She croaks.
''You can't be wasting my twenty four hours like this, Dev.''
Her eyes widen in realization of the voice spoken behind her.
''Jeff!'' She shots up. She covers her clothed chest with her blanket while asking, ''What the hell are you doing here?''
The springs in the matress let out a creak from under him as he gets up from the bed and heads towards her closet.
He brings both hands in the middle of her clothes and pulls them apart to both ends.
''We're going roller skating,'' He briefly informs while pulling a top from the rack.
''But,-''
He turns to her with a grin. ''You can't say no.''
''Fine,'' She gives in. ''But can you get out so I can, like, pick out an outfit?''
''No, I wanna do it.''
She jerks back with a small grin playing at her lips. She pulls her blanket off of her legs as she mumbles, ''Okay.''
She pulls a loose strand of hair behind her ear as she walks out of her room and to the bathroom.
Once Devin had completed her usual morning routines that consist of a shower, washing her hair and face, brushing her teeth, she walks back into her bedroom wearing nothing but a towel wrapped around her moist body.
Water dripped from the ends of her hair as she stood at her doorway, eyeing the neatly planned outfit on her made bed.
She takes a step forward and uses a foot to kick the door closed behind her, taking a good guess that Jeff made use of his time downstairs.
Changing into a fresh pair of undergarments, Devin dresses herself into the grey knit halter top and black jeans, along with the green Adidas Stan Smith kicks.
She heads for her vanity, where there she spends the next half hour blow drying her hair and applying a light pound of make up.
''What's taking so long-''
He pursed his lips together when his gaze landed on the girl that held a blending eyeshadow brush in one hand and a comb through her hair in the other.
''It's not funny, Jeff,'' She exclaims.
He shakes his head. ''No, no you're right. This is hilarious.''
She drops both arms and turns to him with a pout.
He extends an arm to her and says, ''You didn't even need to put on make up. You look just as good without it.''
''But there's people outside,'' She whines.
''And I'm bored,'' He mocks before throwing himself on her bed.
Returning to her the natural look process of her make up, Jeff watched intently and asked. ''Hey, where's your parents?''
''Uh,'' She trails off. ''Parent. My mom is working today.''
''Oh, I'm sorry,'' He cringed. ''What happened to them?''
She shrugs her shoulders when setting down her brushes and reaching for her mascara. ''They got divorced.''
Sensing by the short answers he kept recieving, it was clear this wasn't topic that Devin would be easy discussing, so he decided to stop asking questions.
Through her first coat, Devin Greene had made an awestruck realizationzation that she didn't get until it was brought up.
''Wait,'' She turns to him with furrowed brows. ''How the hell did you get in my house?''
His bottom lip is pushed out into a small pout as he shrugs his shoulders. ''I found the back up key.''
She flattens her lips into a straight line and shakes her head before turning back to her mirror.
''Alright,'' She declares after applying her second coat of mascara. ''Lets go.''
Fetching her denim jacket and her phone from her bed, Jeff Atkins had followed Devin Greene from out of her bedroom to out of of her house.
She lets out a satisfied sigh when taking a seat in shot gun of Jeff's car.
Her seatbelt was on by the time he made his way around the vehicle and into the driver's side. She leaned forward and turned on the radio.
''Jesus,'' He hissed when the announcer abruptly came on from a high volume.
She turns the dial down to a reasonable sound and changes the station.
As the ignition turns on, a gasp fell from her lips and her features grew at the lyrics that played.
Jeff turns to her with a arched brow as she begins to sing along.
''But I know what I'm missing, know when I'm tripping, oh, it's different,'' She poorly sings along with PARTYNEXTDOOR.
Devin turns to Jeff and her features exchange went flat and her head lagged forward.
''You don't know this song?''
He turns away as he backs out of her drive through.
She grind widely as he poorly sings her favorite part, ''You proved her right, every single night, oh my, oh my, can't close my eyes, can't open my eyes, don't know what to do, in what some kind of mood, you're so beautiful, you're so beautiful, we gotta listen to the oh kelly,-''
Together, they poorly sang, ''You slipped out and feel alone, already, girl, I know you know, already, girl, I know you know, already. Things are getting hot and heavy, things are getting hot and heavy, girl, I know you know, already, girl, I know you.''
They let the pause play out until Drake's part came on. ''You say that you think about me everyday. Saturday to Saturday. You see that I been going through it, hoping everythings okay, I just wanna let you know, everything these days is text you, oh. I just wanna get a little sexual, with you.''

''I got you,'' Jeff giggles as he holds a tight and secure grip on her hand.
''I look stupid,'' She whines as she tries to roll by his side, but a foot would occasionally slip causing her to lurch for something stable; aka Jeff.
He shakes his head. ''But it's fun.''
She looks up at him with flared nostrils. ''It's not fun when you have nine year olds skating past you as if they're in the olympics.''
Ignoring her remark, he skated around her until he's in front of her, where he then reaches for her other hand.
''What are you doing?''
A grin slowly grows upon her lips as he pulls her into a spin around the rink.
She squeals when she feels his grip no longer on her. She bit down on her bottom lip as she spinned in a circular motion that first developed from a fast speed, only to decrease as she went along.
His smiled reached his blue eyes with a chuckle heaving from his chest.
He watched as she slowly came to a stop, though her head faced down and her loose hair practically covered her face, her features were screwed right and closed on one another.
When she felt the rollers on her feet no longer in motion, she looks up with a grin.
''I did it!''
He let's out a roar of laughter, causing her to giggle slightly.
''Now try to come over to me.''
Her grin dropped and she begins to shake her head vigorously.
He holds his hands out from his side. ''Why not?''
''You know why.''
He opened his mouth to respond, but a thought quickly ruptured his reaction. ''You can't say no, remember?''
Making deals with him was like a drug, but losing to him was a real bite to the ass.
Heaving out a puff of air, she held her arms out and leaned forward only slightly.
As she leaned her torso forward, she began to move her feet with small steps.
Her right foot slipped and she instantly stepped right back on it, looking up at Jeff.
''I can't do it!''
''Yeah, you can.''
She lets out another sigh, one that was more frustrating than the last.
She steps one foot out and pushes forward at ease, making sure to bring her other foot out before it was too late.
A gasp of excitement fell from her lips as she rolled smoothly, though it lasted only a few seconds before she stopped again.
She looks up with that great smile. ''Did you see that?''
He nods his head with a soft one. ''I did. Keep going, Dev.''
She repeats those actions, remaining at the same cautious speed and surely rolled over to Jeff.
Her grin was wide and her brown orbs screamed the excitement she was feeling as she rolled up to him, hands reaching out to him just in case God played ugly and decided it was time for her to fall.
Both of their hands intertwined as she approached him.
''I did it,'' She giggles. ''I really did it.''
The moment was interrupted when her phone buzzed in her front pocket.
Letting go only one of his hands, she digged for her phone and answers the call she was receiving from her mother.
''Hello?'' She exclaims over the music and people.
''Devin? What's with all the noise?'' Her mother instantly questions.
''I'm just out with a friend,'' She briefly answers, not wanting to go into full detail. ''What's wrong?''
''Nothing,'' She quickly interjects. ''But I forgot Matthew was spending the weekend with us and he's supposed to get picked up from his soccer practice today. Can you do it?''
Cocking a brow, Devin looks up at Jeff who was already looking down at her with furrowed brows, wondering what was going on.
''Uh, sure. Bye mom.''
Her mother gets a final goodbye in before Devin hangs up on her.
''Hey,'' Jeff calls as she stuffs her phone back in her pocket. She looks up at him with a concern gaze. ''What was that?''
''Oh, it was my mom. I have to go, I'm sorry, Jeff.''
His brows furrow for a split second before they return back in place from the smirk growing on his lips.
''Sorry for what? Where do you have to go?''
''I have to run an errand,'' She waves off.
''Alright, where are we going?''
She cocks a brow at him. ''We? Jeff, I'll make it up to you for another day but I have to go.''
He gives the hand she still held into a reassuring squeeze. ''You can't say no to me for twenty four hours. ''
She lets out a scoff and looks away. Pursing her lips, she looks back at him and says, ''Morrison Park.''
He blinks at her. ''What?''
''We got to go to Morrison Park.''
A gentle smile grew on his lips relieved he was actually going to continue to make use of his bet and nods his head.
Devin goes to start walking, forgetting she was wearing skates and slips quickly to the floor.
Jeff Atkins came falling right after her, given that they were still holding hands.
× × ×
Once Jeff had driven Devin and Matthew Greene back home, Matthew was the first of all to dash for the stairs. Meanwhile, Jeff and Devin had only walked through the door.
''He seems..'' He trails off, his gaze towards the stairs before looking back at Devin closing the door. ''Happy, to be here.''
She shrugs her shoulders. ''He doesn't like the arrangements more than anyone.''
He follows her into the living room and asks, ''And you?''
Her straight hair shifts when turning to him as she's already making her way around the couch. ''What about me?''
They both plop on the couch when he clarifies, ''About the arrangements?''
She shrugs her shoulders before lifting both of her legs onto his lap. ''It's..''
She looks at him and breathes out, ''Whatever, at this point.''
He brings a hand onto her calve and gently rubs it. Even though he was only curious, the topic was a damper.
He used his free hand to bring out his phone and turned on his camera. Turning to her, he saw that she was looking else where, off into space.
Her gaze instantly averts to him and his phone, a smile spreading across her lips.
''Jeff,'' She whines. ''Stop, what are you doing?''
He flips the phone around to display the screen for her view, showing her the picture he took of her.
''You looked like you need cheering up to do.''
She giggles and shakes her head.
He points a finger towards her kitchen. ''You got popcorn?''
Furrowing her brows, she answers, ''Yeah. Why?''
Picking up her legs, he removes himself from the couch. ''Pick a movie, I'm gonna go make some.''
''No!'' She exclaims, but it was too easy to face palm herself.
''No?'' He repeats, stopping in his steps to turn to her as if she had three heads.
She gets up from the couch and follows his directions, pulling up her jeans in the process. ''Knowing my mom, she left me money for Chinese.''
He watches her make her way to the counter, lifting up a cookie jar to reveal twenty five dollars under it.
