''Where the hell is my perfume?!''

Devin Greene had just stepped on the second level of the house for the about her fourth time this evening, in a manhunt for a specific perfume bottle that was missing from her bedroom.

Matthew's bedroom door swung open. The young teen steps out with a plate in his hand and the sleepy crust in the corner of his eyes. ''Do you have to make such a scene?''

He was presuming his way downstairs before his path was blocked by his older sister stepping in the way. He moves to the side but she follows either way.

''Bitch, move,'' He barks. ''I want a hot pocket.''

''Excuse me?'' She chuckles. ''Matthew, do you remember what's going on tonight?''

''A Criminal Minds marathon.''

Her head fell to the side. He couldn't be serious.

''Why aren't you dressed up for the Winter formal?''

That's right. The time was here. All the chaos and animosity for finding a date or the right attire for this one night was finally here. Matthew picked himself back up- most of him after the family dinner held at their father's house. He was thankful to have a persistent mother who wouldn't let a night like that go without consequence.

Though, Devin, nor Alyssa have had any updates on what's going on between Matthew Greene and Caleb Otero lately.

Until now.

He shrugs his shoulders. ''I'm not going.''

He walks around her and heads downstairs.

''What?'' She exclaims. She follows after him. ''What do you mean you're not going?''

She follows him into the kitchen and stops at the island as he continues to head for the fridge. ''I thought that was pretty straightforward to understand-''

Devin rolls her eyes. ''I meant why?''

''No reason.''

She folds her arms across her chest. ''Is it because of Caleb? Did something happen between you?''

He stood holding the freezer door open, unresponsive. He wanted to fire a remark, lie straight through his and deny the facts like Caleb was doing with him. But he wasn't that type of person.

''Matthew?''

He faces away from the fridge and sighs. ''Caleb doesn't want to go with me as my date. He wants to go as my friend.''

''Awe,'' She drawls quietly. ''Well, I mean-'' She shrugs her shoulders. ''It's not because he's embarrassed by you. Maybe being this public isn't what he's ready for yet.''

''But, I'll be with him,'' He slaps his arms against his sides and shakes his head vigorously. ''He won't be alone throughout the bullshit.''

''Some people have a lower tolerance level than others. And sometimes people can't handle the overwhelming feeling of not being in control of the situation.'' She walks around the island and towards him. ''He knows you'll be with him. But right now, he doesn't because you're not getting dressed for this dance. Shouldn't it matter you're going to spend the night with him?''

He flattens his lips into a straight line.

''Go get dressed, you know I'm right.''

Without another word uttered, he walks past her and towards the stairs. But before he pressed his foot on the first step, he says, ''Devin..''

She turns around and finds a lopsided grin on his face.

She raised a brow at him. ''Yeah?''

''Thank you.''

She folds her arms across her chest, a cocky smirk appearing. ''For?''

''In the word of Bryson Tiller, don't.''

Her laughter was interrupted by the sounds of the front door opening.

''Devs!'' The voice of her mother calls as she enters the home. She was currently in the middle of a lunch break, and instead of grabbing a quick snack from the cafeteria in the hospital, she decided to rush home to be able to snap some quick pictures of Devin and Matthew on their way to the formal. ''Look who I came with!''

Matthew turns towards the entrance with furrowed brows as Devin walks out of the kitchen to see what all the commotion was about.

Matthew's face dropped. ''Ew, you guys match.''

It was always a curious thought to Jeff Atkins if Devin Greene knew she was beautiful and had no trouble flaunting it, or all of her assets came naturally to her and she has no clue about it.

She had straightened her hair for tonight's event, her dress seeming to be a bodycon material given that it snatched in every inch of her curves. Her makeup had a nude undertone that evenly matched with her rose gold dress, not to mention her gold heels made everything pop.

He inhaled sharply at the sight of her hips dropping with each step closer to the scene. ''Dear God.''

She looks up from the ground once she's standing next to Matthew, tugging a strand of hair behind her and smiles instantly. She didn't even realize that he was mesmerizing her physique because she was preserving the black suit that glistened his tan skin. She could of sworn the blue hue to his eyes were more evident now more than ever. Even his pink tie couldn't distract her from his eyes.

''You,'' Devin drawls as she slowly walks up to him. Her hands found their way onto his clothed chest, soon sliding up and around to clasp against the back of his neck. ''look dashing.''

She leans into him and pecks his lips.

He swallows deeply afterwards, his eyes nearly popping out of his head. ''Me? Have you seen yourself? Give me a spin!''

Alyssa was heard laughing with Devin as she held on to Jeff's hand, giving him a quick twirl.

''You look beautiful, mi reina,'' He whispers to her, pressing his lips against her forehead.

''Thank you.''

Alyssa furrows her brows when walking towards the staircase. ''Is Matthew okay?'' She turns to face the couple. ''Why wasn't he dressed?''

Devin nods her head. ''He'll be okay.''

× × ×

''Do you see him?'' Matthew practically yells over the music.

He stood in between Devin and Jeff, as if they were his shields. At the moment, he wouldn't mind a little protection.

Devin was looking around the crowded gymnasium, until her search was cut short by Jeffery's announcement, ''Over there, by the punch bowl.''

And that's exactly where Caleb Otero was. He had gently placed the ladle back into the glass bowl and turns around. The muscles in his arm flexed when he lifted his cup up to his lips as he turns back towards the crowd, taking a sip from his drink.

''Alright,'' Jeff and Devin grab him by both ends of his shoulders and turn to face him with stern expressions. ''You got this, alright. If there's trouble in paradise, just throw the first punch and we'll be there.''

Matthew nods. ''Got it.''

''Go get him,'' Devin encourages as they let him go. The couple grew closer as he walks off, practically disappearing into the mass crowd.

Devin inhales deeply, her breath audible when folding her arms across her chest. ''One down, one more to go.''

''Yeah,'' He squints his eyes. ''You seen him?''

She grips onto his hand. ''Come on.'' She leads him through the sidelines, avoiding the dance floor as much as possible before stepping onto the bleachers.

Jeff took a seat on one end of Clay while Devin walked a level below Clay until she was on his other end. She took that one step up and took the available seat, leaving the jittery brunette in between the two.

''Go.'' Jeff points across the room. ''Go get her.''

Clay Jensen was practically bewildered as he looks at the two like they had grown an extra head. ''Go get her and do what?''

''Clay,'' Devin giggles. ''We're at a dance, so go dance.''

''I can't- you both know I can't dance,'' He stammers. He was a nervous wreck already from just talking about it.

Jeff looks away with the roll of his eyes as he continues. ''We talked about this when you forced me to come tonight.''

Devin pressed a hand against her chest. ''I didn't force nobody to do anything. I was in the bathroom.''

Jeff points out to the crowd. ''Nobody can dance, look. When people can dance at a dance, nobody likes them. And I also didn't force you to come. You willingly agreed to make a bet and I got higher than a C, so you lost.''

''Please refrain all wagers between you and Devin and only between you and Devin.''

Devin giggles. ''If I had known you had a crush on Hannah Baker, I would've made a miracle happen a long time ago, hun.''

''Go,'' Jeff repeats. He motions him to move with just the shake of his head. When he didn't feel his presence move, he raised a brow and looks back up at him. ''Come on.''

It took him another moment before getting up. Devin was bubbly in the inside. She couldn't believe he actually had the courage to not only come to the dance but to actually get the girl.

No matter what terms her and Hannah landed on, she knew that both Hannah Baker and Clay Jensen deserved happiness, and if that happiness was found with each other, it was just as great.

Devin covers her mouth and Jeff looks away, shaking his head in shame once they caught Clay trip over his own feet on the way down.

''So..''

She couldn't help the smirk that conquered her lips. She looks at Jeff and eggs him on by asking, ''Yes?''

''Wanna dance?''

She giggles. ''Of course.''

He takes a stand and fixes the jacket to his suit. Her lips were pressed tight to suppress her laughter as she heard the faint sound of his throat being cleared. He extends a hand out before swiveling his neck to look at her.

She laughs while taking his hand.

As far as she's concern, this night was perfect in its own unique turn. She didn't need a limo or a spikey corsage poking at her skin to make this night memorable. It were those who she surrounded herself with that she knew was going to make tonight worth while.

Every moment spent laughing at one another for their ridiculous dance moves, blocking any judgmental remarks from forming created such a carefree environment between the two.

It didn't even matter if people were staring. Tonight wasn't about other people. It was about them. And that was all that was needed. It was enough.

They were in the middle of a slow song, wrapped up in one another's embrace. It felt good to be held by someone, knowing that care about you and would do anything for you.

It was comforting.

''I can't believe Devin Greene is my girlfriend,'' He randomly mumbles to himself.

She snickers, lifting her head from his chest to face him. ''Look at Jeff Atkins, geeking over me. I should remind you that I was once a nobody.''

''No,'' He shakes his head vigorously. ''Maybe to somebody else in the school but not to me. You're a blessing, you just needed the right person to figure out and tell you for yourself.''

''I'm glad that person is you,'' She gives his lips a sweet, lingering peck. Her lips hovered over his only a few meters away when she whispers, ''I wouldn't have it any other way.''

It was if by a command from a witch. He gave her hips a firm squeeze and the slow song transferred into a more upbeat song, shifting the mood in the room entirely.

But while everyone began dancing off the walls, Devin and Jeff remained in their position.

He narrows his eyes at her, the tip of his tongue peeking out from his mouth to moisture of his top and bottom lip. ''Do you wanna get out of here?''

It was as if she was in a trance. She nods her head and lets out a solemn. ''Yeah. Just let me go grab Matthew.''

He pulls her back just as she started to walk away. ''I mean me and you.''

She didn't know what it was that caused the suggestion, but it was enough for her cheeks to appear darker than her bronzer.

''Okay,'' She agrees. ''At least let me go warn him. I'll meet you on my way out.''

A grin grew to full display when she felt his hand trail from around her hip, giving her rear end a squeeze.

It didn't take Devin Greene long to find Matthew Greene standing around with Caleb Otero at one end of the bleachers. Possibly, five to eight minutes tops.

''Hey,'' She ruggedly breathes out. It wasn't easy to move through a sea of people, especially in search for one specific person.

''Hey,'' Matthew smiles. Caleb smiles as well, only it was friendlier compared to all the smiles he's thrown her way. In those days, he was just pleading for sex in an almost pervy sort of way.

''Everything okay?''

Matthew chuckles. ''Everything's great.'' He turns to Caleb, who was just as happy as he was. ''Why?''

She waves off his concern and grins. ''Nothing serious. Listen, I'm heading out with Jeff. Do you mind spending the night at a friends?''

He sucks his teeth. He already had a general idea of what was bound to happen for the rest of her night. ''If I do this, I want a favor in return.''

She smashed her lips against his cheek for a purposely sloppy kiss. ''Stay safe, little brother.''

His eyes blew wide. ''I should be telling you that.''

Shaking her head, she laughs at his remark before rushing to the double doors of the gymnasium. She was lucky enough to find Jeff Atkins around the area, near the Dj setup where Clay Jensen also stood.

She walks in, in the middle of Clay's aggressive rant. ''Cause I think she thinks I care about shit I don't care about.''

''So sad, such a shame,'' She grips onto Jeff's arm and began to tug on him. ''We'll talk about it more on Monday, bye!''

Once Devin and Jeff were hand in hand, running through the quiet and dark school hallways, they turned to each other and couldn't help but start laughing.

× × ×

The moonlight was peeking through the thin shades covering Devin Greene's bedroom, causing the room to appear dim. Jeffery Atkins was standing beside her bed while Devin made sure to close and lock her door.

Alyssa Greene was taking a night shift this evening, leaving it just the two in the house. All alone.

She turns around, her hands still latched onto the doorknob. She leans into the door, shamelessly admiring her boyfriend that stood in the middle of the room.

They hadn't spoke on the ride home, their silence was their communication.

She pushes herself off the door and walked with one foot in front of the other. There goes her hips, one side dropping followed by another drop.

She had her hands start from his lower abdomen, trailing an adventure up his torso. She could feel every form of muscle under the thick material of his suit. Once her hands landed on his pecks, she pushes him, forcing him to sit on her bed.

She took a step back, a devilish smirk appearing on her lips as she couldn't believe the actions she were about perform. It seemed like she was confident, but she wasn't. It was a lot, even for her. But the night was so good, so young, she wanted to end it with a bang.

Literally.

And she wasn't the only one who had the same idea in mind.

She reaches down and unzips her heels, taking them both off and tossing them aside.

Her head dangles to the side, her hair falling with her so smoothly as she reached behind to grasp onto her zipper.

You could hear the metal sliding down, reaching a stop at the top of her butt. She retracts her arms back towards the front of the dress and looks down at the ground. She grabs a hold of the dress from the material hugging her shoulders.

She pulls it down, revealing her basic black bra.

''Look at me.''

In one blink, her gaze met with his and it wavered her confidence entirely the further she was pulling the material down against her skin.

Eventually, the dress had fallen to the ground, pooling around her feet. She steps out from it, not even bothering to bend down and pick it up, but instead, kick it aside.

She grew tense, she barely want to move around with Jeff Atkins in the room at this point.

He noticed the lack of eye contact.

He takes a stand from the bed and steps towards her. She was confused at first when all he did was stand there, observing her. Though, a small gasp was heard when he reached around her thighs and lifted her up.

He carried her to the bed and laid her against the mattress. Once she landed, his lips fervently found hers in a lustful kiss.

She wanted to clench a fistful of his hair, badly. But the material of his jacket scraping against her bare skin only bothered her. She slides her hands inside the jacket, pushing the article of clothing off of his shoulders.

His touch disappeared from her waist to take the rest of the jacket off, tossing it elsewhere in the room.

His teeth sunk into her bottom lip, pulling it away before letting it go. She lets out a breath of air, fumbling with his button up shirt.

''Oh, for fuck sake,'' He hissed. She giggles as he pulls away to tug of his tie. His whole attire was adding one more step from having fun tonight.

She smiles as he decides to also unbutton what was left of his shirt.

She shrugs her shoulders and tells him, ''We can always do this another time.''

He had thrown the shirt already on the ground before leaning down, his face only inches away from hers. A faint smirk was plastered by the reaction of her arching her back off of the bed, her head thrown back into the pillows, and a gush of air sharply inhaled by just his hand cupping her sex.

''We can always do this another time,'' He mocks.

She grabs him by his face with both hands and smashed his lips against hers.

She didn't expect it, but she moaned into his mouth when two fingers slipped into her underwear.

''Fuck, you're so wet,'' He breathes out. She was writhing underneath his touch, his fingertips feeling against her slick folds. She could his smirk forming as she turns her head to the side. ''And I've barely touched you.''

''Are you gonna do something about it?''

A dry chuckle fell from his lips, his hot breath fanning her skin.

Her eyes fluttered shut as his lips pressed against her skin, creating a path along the naval way between her breast and down to the lining of her underwear.

She couldn't tear away from his gaze. His eyes were darker than her bedroom, you could barely see that sparkling blue hue that could grab any girls attention.

In one smooth motion, he'd pushed her panties aside and dived right in with his lips. She could feel the warmth of his tongue delving into her folds. He was lapping through every corners of his exploration licking all the juices coming out the second he went in contact with it.

Her bottom lip was caught in between her teeth to suppress the moans threatening to spill. Even with her eyes closed, she could still see the image of her boyfriend between her parted legs.

''Let me hear you, mi reina.''

His voice was so rough, so low. At this moment, anything he did or say was an automatic turn on. She couldn't believe the things he did to her, how much power and control he really held over her.

The second his fingers got in the mix with his tongue, is when her lips parted, releasing a series of collected moans that only grew higher by pitch.

Her hands went down to grab his hair. Her fingers weaved through the roots, engulfing her grip around the soft locks so hard, she thought she was hurting him. But that only made him moan against her, sending vibrations through her whole body.

She arched her back yet again. Jeff pinned her hips against the mattress to keep her still by wrapping one of his muscled arms around it. This way, she couldn't make a move to disturb him anymore. He kept lapping on the surface of her core and every time the knot in her stomach was getting bigger.

''Jeff!'' She cries out.

He pulls away from and climbs out from her bed. Her features had dropped completely. What the hell was happening?

He digged inside of his pockets and pulled out his wallet. Digging further into his wallet is where he pulled out a condom. Carelessly, he tossed his wallet and began to unbuckle his belt.

Devin's eyes grew wide at the sight of his length being free from his boxers. Of course, there was a good chance he didn't notice her starring since he was committing the crime himself.

She was laid out on the bed, her head fallen to the side with her legs propped on the bed and pushed apart. She was still dressed in her bra and panties. She had one hand rubbing her stomach soothingly, some of her hair fallen off the side of the bed.

''You look so sexy,'' He comments.

How is it that she could feel so expose yet he'll convince her for being the most interesting piece of art in a room?

He climbs back in between her and kisses her. Though, this wasn't as rushed and forced. It was long and passionate. It was as if Devin Greene could feel loved with a simple kiss like this.

''Do you wanna go through with this?'' He whispers those words against her lips.

She couldn't stop the grin that found it's way from ear to ear.

''A wise man once said that you're a blessing, you just needed the right person to figure out and tell you for yourself,'' She nods her head. ''So I won't let this moment fade. Not from my blessing.''
