"Oh ok anything ... call me "

"Sure" Alina stepped out of the prom hearing the song vanish on her way out...the alchool helping

I felt my life begin
So open up your heart and let
This fool rush in-

"Oh peace !Thank god!" She walked to the field a bit tipsy and sat in the benches where normally the coaches or the others plays whould sit. She closed her eyes and dreamt about the perfect prom... in her mind she would be somewhere else, she wouldn't go to prom, she would go to the beach,have a night out dance on the beach, eat some junk food with the right company it would be the perfect prom, a prom far away from here it's not much of a big deal going to prom yet why was this one letting her down, sad, overwhelmed, nauseous, wanting to escape...

She picked up her phone and called Lucas

"Hey"

"Hello beautifull girl" she heard from the other side of the line "What happened is everything alright?"

"Honestly no... prom sucks" she said with a teary voice

"Yeah I know, do you want me to take you out?"

"Would you?"

"Yes. If I couldd I would've kidnapped you the moment you entered in the prom but you told me you wanted to go alone and I-"

"You're so stupid I sware" she cuckled " I am in a dress though"

"I am sure you're beautifull"

"It's not that... where do you want to go I have this big dress"

"Don't worry I'm going to surprise you... be there in 10"

"Alright thanks"

"Thank you" he said ending the call she picked her mini bag and put her phone there, she looked at the stars and saw a few constellations but the sky was full of clouds this night wasn't really letting her beloved stars. She adored the stars, especially to see a starry sky on the beach it reminded her of the best night of her life.

"What are you doing here?" She heard, the knowned voice made her take a deep breath

"Sitting down on a bench"

She saw Colten getting close to her, she stood up and walked to the other side of the field he followed her like a puppy, with his hands on the pockets of his pants. "Where are you going?"

"To the other side of the field"

"Why aren't you inside?"

"Because i am outside"

"You really do know how to take someone to it's limits. Are you drunk?"

"I'll take that as a compliment.Thanks. And no..." she said waving her hand, they were now crossing the middle of the field.

"Where are you going?"

"None of your bussiness"

"Alina!" he shouted making her stop in middle of the fiels, he stopped too waiting for her to say something

"What?" she asked not turning back

"Why aren't you inside?" he asked again she slowly turned, now face to face she looked into his eyes

"why?" she let out a chuckle "Because people in there are happy"

"The same explanation.Really?"

"At least I have one ...what's yours?" She said finishing one cup

"what do you mean?"

"Why are you here?"

"Zoey said you left-"

"I mean why are you here?Why are you everywhere?"

"Because Zoey was worried and wanted to know what happened-"

"Exactly, you could've said so many things yet it felt like you just dodge the question again..in reality that's what you do... "

"Wait how did this escalated so quickly? How am I suddendly the bad guy?"

"Suddenly?...Look I have someone waiting for me?"

"Lucas?"

"Yes" she said turning his back to him and walking again

"I stranged Mr.Perfect not be here as your date"

"Mr.Perfect?" she asked angrily turning to him again

"Isn't that what he is?"

"You know? Yes, he is. He is so perfect, something you could never be. Because something you aren't is perfect in fact you're quite, extremely, unperfect"

"I know that" he said thruthfully

"Great that makes you even more unperfect" she said taking the second cup all in...

"Wow...bottoms up ham? What do you want me to say? That I'm perfect...I'm not, Alina I know it better than everyone if I was perfect I wouldn't defenitely be here at this feld with you"

"See there you go saying these things that I don't understand why don't you just say what you want instead of making me solve the puzzle. Why can't you simply be bold enough to just say it? what do you want me to do? To hate you? Oh you don't want to be here with me. Should I feel bad? is that what you want? Tell me what you want !"

"Well you do already hate me don't you? That's what you say all the time. You keep telling me that every day, every time we talk,about how you hate me. I know you hate me"

"Oh my god!" she screamed luckily they were alone in the field "You know what I hate the most? Is the fact that even if I try I can't hate you, I can't hate you at all, not even a little. Every time I say I, I hate you I try to believe in myself and fail every god damn time. So shut up!" she said walking again from out the field while Colten was taken back by that information he was stuck, stopped i the middle of the field.

"She doenst hate me?" he whispered to himself "Wait! Alina"

"Urgh! Stop calling me that! " She said turning back at him, a bit tipsy and in a rushed pace she got back to the middle field to face him  "Stop it" she said tears starting to fall

"Hey don't cry" he said holding her face gently, she pouted and she rested the weight of her face in his hands, he was her support if he took off his hands she would fall "Why are you crying silly?"

"Don't... don't just do it you know? Don't say it"

"What? Alina?" He asked making her cry more, tears falling her cheeks and reaching his fingers that held her head in the air

"Yes" she pouted more

"But it's your name" he chuckled seeing her silly

"I know but you can't do that"

"You are so drunk"  he smiled at her crying face "let's take you home"

"No..I'm mad at you! I'm not going home" she said taking her head off his hold "I'm having a date"

"With who? Lucas?" He questioned and sh simply nodded wit a pouty face

"You're not anymore...Come on" he said grabbing her hand , he pushed her through the field not letting her go they walked to the parking lot and he opened the car door for her to get she stood paralyzed looking at him

"Where are we going?"

"Away"

"No but we- you should be at the prom with your- "

"Alina?" he interrupted her

"Hm?"

"Get in the car" and she got in without complaining, she fall a sleep not much time after, it was a one hour long drive with some stops in the way. When they got at their destination Colten got out of the Audi and gently woke her up

"We there?" She said still drowsy

"Yeah we here silly head" he chuckled, she got out of the car and closed the door he took some bags with him and she followed him, she walked a bit tipsy so he hold her hand and suddenly her tipsiness was washed away and she seemed more sober

Alina didn't notice where they were till, they sat down on the towel Colten laid on the floor, her drunkenness might be the cause of that delay.

"We are at the beach?"

"Yes" he giggled, she took of her shoes and so did he  "Lucas called a few times while you were sleeping I told him his presence was no longer wanted... or needed"

"You did what?" She said still confused

"Complicated matters I will leave for sober Alina"

"Yes please" She laughed laying down on the towel her feet touching the cold sand

"Does drunk Alina wants a pizza ?" He asked making her suddendly seat back up "Looks like a yes" he smiled and she quickly nodded he placed the pizza box near the towel and sat next to her, he took the drinks out of the bag and handed it one to her

"Ohh Pepsi Max. How do you know me so well?"

"I've been trying to tell you that for a long time"

"I am swowwy" She said with her mouth full of pizza, he looked at her for a moment and contemplated the view

"Don't look at me like that"  they stood in there talking and eating after awhile Alina wanted to go to water

"Let's go Let's go" she said pushing him by the hand so he would get up

"Fine" he rolled his eyes and placed his phone and wallet that were in his pants pockets in the towel, she punched him to the water

"Oh it's cold" She said laughing

"it's 3am of course it's cold"

"Oh this is so cool" she said jumping and throwing water at him with her feet

"Hey, hey , hey" he spoke taken back by the freezing water touching his skin "This was a bad idea"

"It was the best idea ever" She laughed still splashing water at him

"Stop it"

"No" she laughed

"Alina Jones!" He warned again "Stop it or -"

"Or what? You'll kill me?" he quickly grabbed her waist laid her rapidly but carefully on the sand

"Or you'll be sea food" he said now on top of her the water reaching his feet, he took a good look at her and how close they were how the shine of the moonlight made her even more beautiful if that was possible, how good her makeup suited her, so simple yet perfect, how the sand in her face made her look funny. He laughed at her face and gently brushed the sand of her cheeks.

She looked at him sweetly, her fresh breath reaching his face. He caressed her hair taking the little hairs out of her face, he caressed her as if she was a porcelain doll that at any moment she might break . She placed a hand in his cheeks and rubbed her finger making his face warmer,

They seem to attract each other like a magnet, they were getting closer and closer her eyes were closed so was his, when her soft lips touched a tip on his he stopped "No" he murmured under his breath

She furrowed her eyebrows and opened her eyes to see him troubled he sat in the sand not caring about water who was whining her beige pants "What is the matter? You don't like me do you ?" She said saddened by the previous event

"No I-"

"I'm sorry" she confessed " I don't know what I was thinking you have a girlfriend where did I- " her words were stopped by his actions, he grabbed her face fiercely not letting her escape, so she would only saw him in front of her

"You don't know how bad I want this but I can't "

"Why?"

"I can't now...I'm afraid you might forget tonight, I'm sure this isn't the right away... I respect you more than anything and I would never take any advantages on you. I want it when your fully conscious, when your lips tell me that you want me at the same time as you mind and heart. I'll wait for that moment"

"You're weirdly romantic" she smiled "Can I tell you a secret?"

"Hm" he nodded what is it?"

"my favorite place" she smiled "is you"she looked at him happy, he was mesmerized by her" don't look at me like that you look a hopeless romantic "

"I guess I am" He laughed kissing her head gently " because I like you so much" he said than looking down at her eyes

"Ew" she teased him

"Ew? Do you want to be sea food?"

"Can you catch me?" She said quickly standing up and running through the beach and happily he ran after her
