Alina didn't wanted to believe but she was kissing Colten. She woke up to reality and pushed him away her eyes roamed around, his eyes looking at hers still full of lust.

Alina grabbed everything she needed and left the room quickly thinking about what just happened.

Her mind was a mess no to mention her heart. Her boyfriend cheated on her and her so called enemy just kissed her.

She walked to the elevator and saw Colten at the end of the hallway following her "wait" he said but it was too late the doors of the elevator closed.

Her cheeks were full of water that was falling from her big blue and golden eyes.

Once on the ground floor she met with Zoey "you're here" Zoey said hugging her with all the strength she had, she grabbed her hand " we have to go"

"Where's my brother?" Alina asked confused looking everywhere trying to find him

"He is finishing Colten's job"

"What?"

They were now outside the building and met Gabe, Sophia looking and Aaron and Jake.

Jake was on the floor, with a open lip a black eye and ripped clothes. Aaron was standing near him, yelling.

The two friends were behind Aaron with an undeniable urge to kill Jake.

"You'll never... NEVER Jake! Put another hand on her! Are we clear?" Aaron asked

Jake only nodded

"If I know that you touched her, talked to her, or even thank about her I will break every bone in your hand one by one and you know damn well I can" Aaron spat, he looked at his sister finally and hugged her then quickly check on her. He cleaned the tears off her eyes and kissed her head gently " let's go home yeah?"

She nodded but when they were finally going away a voice stops them.

"Alina!"

They all turned back, minus her, they turned back to know who that voice belongs to, but she knew who it was she didn't needed a confirmation plus she didn't wanted to hear that voice now.

Aaron walked to Colten and hugged him " thanks man, I finished your job"

Colten looked at Jake, he was sat on the snow with a bleeding lip and nose and a huge black eye.

"You know I'm quite angry at you die to that little Emma brat but thanks Colten he deserved it" Gabe said, Colten nodded appreciating his words. This was probably the second time someone was thanking him for beating up someone, the first was to Hugh.

"Yeah thanks! Though I still hate you and that brat" Zoey said

"Thank you Coll!" Sophia said

Alina was looking at the snow on the floor she didn't dared to turn back and look at him, she couldn't.

"Is she okay?" Colten asked Aaron while looking at Alina's back

"She will be" Aaron assured

"Tell me when you get home"

"I will man" Aaron said giving a side hug to Colten, they left leaving Colten there with thoughts and a messy heart.

"What are you looking at?" Colten asked Jake who was trying to get up and continuously looking at him

"You know...i fucked it up Colten" Jake said looking at the tall boy in front of him "Maybe she was too much for me. I knew she was perfect. But you don't have the right to beat me up..."

"What?"

"You're the one that goes out with a dozen of girls in the same week, and you beat me up because I cheated on my girlfriend? How many times have you done that? I know you Colten" he said coming closer to Colten "Every boy wants to be you, every boy wants a bit of the paradise you have, you live in an ocean of girls. You have no right to beat the shit out of me Colten" Jake said touching with his finger in Colten's chest "You're way worse" Jake whispered, he gave a final look at Colten and giggled, with a lot of difficulty he walked inside the hotel.

Colten didn't do anything. How could he? It wasn't a lie. Everything he had said was true.

He was way worse and he needed to get it right. he needed to be better.

Alina got home, she went directly to the bathroom to take off her clothes and dress her pajama. She was now brushing her hair trying not to think of this night but easier said than done.

"Hey pumpkin" she looked through the mirror and saw her mom laid on the door frame. She took a step and grabbed the brush Alina held and helped her daughter brushing her hair. "Your brother told me"

Alina didn't said anything she just looked at the sink a million thoughts running through her mind.

Once Martha finished brushing ALina's hair she put the brush down and laid her hands on Alina's shoulder, she gave her a kiss on the cheek and while looking at her through the mirror she said "You need to get some sleep. Just sleep, you'll think tomorrow ok?"

Alina nodded and turned back to her mom hugging her, Martha hugged her tight.

She got in bed and closed her eyes.

it was useless all she could think was Jake... and Colten for how much she didn't want to admit. She was thinking of how she had giving to Jake and how much he didn't deserved, she was thinking of Colten and how they landed on hers.

Dozens of images playing in her head of her relationship with the two boys.

She growled revolted and hide her face on her pillow then she heard her phone. A notification.

She looked at her phone that was in her bedside table, carefully she looked at the screen, there were a couple of messages there.

she smiled at the messages of her friends... but then there was another one that made her raise her eybrow

She stayed there looking carefully at the message not opening it so he wouldn't know she saw it...after a lot of debating she got up and went downstairs to the kitchen to heat up some water. she took a tea bag out of the cupboard. Whe she was about to take the mug too her phone rang again.

she looked the cupboard and found the mug Colten said, she looked at it and unexpectdally with her tearfull and tired face she curved her lips in a smile. She prepared her tea and drank it, she left the mug on the sink and now that she was warm inside she went to bed and fall asleep finally not thinking of anything only her hot tea.

"AL ! AL! AL!" Toby shouted while jumping in her sisters bed, she growled t«and placed the pillow over her head covering her hears "ALI!"

"Toby!"

"Hurry up! Uncle T and Aunt A are coming"

"They what?"

"They coming"

"What time is it?

"ALmost midday"

"Shit-" ...." I mean shoot" She said looking at him with widden eyes

"I heard that" Toby said giggling

"You thought you did" She said picking the boy up and putting him outside his bedroom

"I will... now choo" she said closing the door and taking a quick bath after. She dressed up in some simple clothes but cozy and warm ones, it was winter after all.

She rushed downstairs, quickly hearing voices from the living room.

"Hey guys"

"Alina!" Anna cheered, they hugged each other, and then Alina greeted her uncle Thomas.

"Where's Callie?"

"Outside making a snowman with Toby" Damien responded

"But Colten is in the kitchen he had to drop some bags of food there" Anna told her. Alina debated with herself whether to go there or not.

Clearly it wasn't a good time to be with him, first of all she is mad at him actually she is furious at him because he couldn't control his girlfriend, he couldn't see the bad she had done and he could even protect Alina from that evil girl.Not that Alina wanted to be protected but at least he could say something about her attitude but he can't even do that.

Then we have the kiss, that weird kiss they gave last night, what the hell was that about was Alina could think of. It was wrong and immature.

Did he really thank I was just another of his little sluts? To simply kiss me like that?

In Alina's head there was no explanation for what he had done, Colten was super famous in the girly world so Alina knew if he had kissed her, she was his next prey.

He would not... He knows that I'm the only girl in that damn school that don't want him in that way or any kind of way. NO!

While she was overthinking her legs took her to the kitchen something she hadn't realise till she heard the sound of a cup of glass been taken from the cuboard.

She saw his back and watched his moves carefully he closed the door an turned around walking to the sink but her presence made him stop in his tracks.

"I- just wanted some water" he said pointing to the sink but his eyes were stuck on her

"ok" she simply said, more like whispered

"You ok?" he asked

"Sure why wouldn't I?"

"Well...due to last night events-"

"I'm fine, are you?"

"Yeah"

"Your eye is very black did you put ice after- after I left?"

"Yeah"

"Don't lie to me" She said frowning, she walked to the fridge and took a bag of pies, she throwed the bag at him and he gracefully catch it in the air putting then the bag on his eye.

"You never do what I tell you too" She said rolling her eyes in annoyance

"but you do" he smirked

"What?"

"You do what I say" he said still smirking she let out a chuckle and raised an eyebrow "Since when do I do that?"

"Since last night" He said grabbing the voodoo doll mug that was on the sink

"Well there's only one thing that makes me go to sleep when I can't"

"A cup of tea" he said smiling at the mug

"Yes! So I didn't so it because you told me to. I did it because I needed it too"

"And the mug?"

"It's a nice mug!"

"Hello kids" Martha greeted them interrupting their fight "Colten please call the other to put the table! It's the first meal of this year"

"And we want a good meal" Anna said next

Colten left the kitchen and I grabbed the towel to put on the table but my mother stopped me "Just to let you know after lunch you are going to the shop"

"Ok...why?"

"You need to buy chocolate powder so I can make brownies for dinner and Arnidol for Colten's black eye"

"Fine. I'll go there with Aaron"

"With Colten" Her mother informed

"No, why?"

"Because your brother is grounded for beating up Jake"

"But-"

"It was something wrong, he knows that. You're going with Colten"

"But Ma-"

"It's the least you can do Alina. He has a black eye"

"I didn't asked him to get in a fight for me"

"He protected you now you are taking care of him to. That's what I taught you and your brothers."

"BUt I didn't asked him to protect me he did that because he wanted to..."
