"Hey Daddy" Alina greeted once she got in the kitchen, today's dinner was on the man's hands.

"Hi Ali" He smiled "Did you got tired of playing with the kids?"

"They have so much energy...they didn't stop !" she mumbled tiredly

"Yeah they're kids" Thomas laughed and Damien joined

"Hey could you see if you find Colten?"

"Why? What's the problem? "

"Well he was getting some wood to the fireplace but he's taking some while"

"Well he loves to explore and all that"

"Yeah, can you please go look for him?"

"Yeah sure" she took her coat and a little something that was under the tree and started to look for Colten thought it wasn't needed much research somehow she sensed where he might be.

The lake.

He was sat in the wooden reck looking at the frozen lake and the white snow that covered the beautiful green trees.

"Here he is, always contemplating the views" she sat next to him, he didn't even flinch.

"I like views"

"Yeah I know"

Award Silence.

"So your father wanted to know where you were"

"I'm here"

"What's with the attitude?" she asked him

"nothing"

"Well I have something to cheer you up!" she smiled, he looked at her and to her hands that we're holding a present

"Whats is that?"

"A present!"

"To who?"

"You... Open it" she gave him the present and he opened it. It was a book of poetry, milk and honey.

"You did not"

"But I did, once I saw it I knew it was meant for you"

"Thanks, I also have something for you"

"No way...we don't do this" she said pointing to the presents, he shrugged his shoulders and gave her a little box. She opened the box carefully and when she saw what was inside her heart thumped really fast "It's beautiful" she commented

"I saw it and I knew it was meant for tou" he smirked

"ha ha"

"No but I'm serious" he took the bracelet in the box and pointed to it, "it has a sunflower because it's your favorite flower"

"Thank you very much" she smiled and then hugged him tight at the moment he didn't realized what was happening but then he involved his arms around her wishing that moment never ended.

After the hug, she stretched her arm and looked at him. He touched her pulse sweaty sending shivers to her, he carefully put the bracelet on, smiling at the final look.

"It's not that bad" she joked, he laughed at her.

He smiled looking at the view again, he just wished to stay here forever, just him, the view and her but he had to wake up and face reality, he had to tell the truth, he had to hurt her, and he had to hurt himself by hurting her.

"What you thinking about?" she asked

"That I could've asked Santa for something better"

"I told you..."

"yeah you did "

"what would you ask for?"

"I would ask for courage" he mumbled making her frown

"What do you mean? You're one of the most badasses of the school"

"I would ask to have the courage to hurt someone"

"You're always beating up people"

"How so? You want to have the courage to hurt someone you love? What happened?"

"Nothing, just forget about it"

"Explain it to me! Is it your mom?" she asked and he said no with his head

"Callie?"

Again no

"Is it Emma?" she asked with her voice cracked he looked at the eyes and asked in his head what the hell made her wondering that I love Emma and not her? Doesn't she see the way I'm fascinated over her?

"No! It's not, forget it ok?"

"What is it?"

"No" he said stepping up

"Tell me !"

"No!" he raised his voice

"TELL ME!" She shouted

"You know what? I did it!"

"You did what?"

"I was the one that told Emma about your fear..."

"You what?"

"About the frogs"

"You did what?" she good up and she looked at him angrily

"i didn't mean to, she took my photo album she found the photo she asked what is was I said it was from a video and when I left the room she searched for the video on my computer " he said quickly

"You can't even control your girlfriend?"

"I was supposed to?"

"Well in the first place you shouldn't let her touch in things she isn't allowed to"

"I didn't saw what she was doing"

"You never saw anything that she does "

"what do you mean ?"

"I mean that you're always fucking blind by her"

"That is not-"

"That is not what? True? You were always defending her in everything "

"You nothing! She that stupid frog prank and you defended her. She has this passive aggressive attitude, sometimes sh hurts people and you don't even listen to the other side of the story"

"No! She humiliated me the way that she did and you still chose to take her place like a fucking gentleman"

"I was worried about you I helped you!"

"You helped me because you realized that it was your fault all that! Cause that's what you do! You don't do things because they're right you do them because you mess it up"

"Know I'm the bad guy?"

"You were always the bad guy!"

"You should think on your actions first and then talk to me!"

"I'm not even close of what you are!"

"But you are! You're no better than me!"

"How can that be possible hm?"

"Because you are the reason! You're the reason for everything I do"

"Don't fucking blame me!"

"I do! Because it's you! Most of the time if I act impulsively you're the reason because you did something because you said something, you're always teasing you're always irritating me!"

she gave an ironic laugh "Now I'm the bad guy! Wow, you play dirty "

"It's not playing dirty it's the truth!"

"I don't know what's the truth anymore because turns out you do hide things "

"I'M NOT YOUR FUCKING BOYFRIEND TO GO AROUND AND TELL EVERYTHING THAT I KNOW AND THAT HAPPENED TO ME!"

"YOU AREN'T!" she shouted "And thank God you're not! I'm done with this!"

"Good I'm done too"

"I'm done pretending this will ever work out" she said with tears in her eyes

"Then we should stop pretending " he said coldly

"yeah, we should! " with that she turned around and walked to the cottage.

"Hey Ali! Where's Colten?" Her mother asked

"I don't know" she mumbled climbing upstairs to her room

"Get out go to your boyfriend's room" Alina demanded once she saw Emma laying in her bed with a green mascara over her face

"But I'm doing my face routine"

"I don't care get out!"

"Alright Jesus" Emma left the room without any more arguments, Alina got into the bathtub, fill it with warm water and stood there thinking and crying.

He could try to be strong but when the matter was her, he couldn't simply fake it, he couldn't hide it. So there he stood looking at the frozen lake with a broken heart and a face full of tears.

They didn't spoke directly to each other anymore, the only words changed were 'bye' when they left the cottage.

Well the days passed and tomorrow was the last day of the year and Alina , as always would go to a fancy ass party with her friends and this year with her brother too.

"I can't believe you're coming" She squealed

"Will you stop!"

"I'm sorry...but why you coming ?who invited you? Because I wasn't for sure and the only explanation for this mystery is a name that starts wit Z and ends in Zoey " She said while doing her make up

"You won't stop will you?" He said looking at her through the mirror of her bathroom.

"Nope" she smiled. He brushed his hair while rooling his eyes at her.

"Just hurry up ok?" He said and she nodded then someone barged in

"Hey!"

"Hi little bro" Aaron greeted Tobias

"hey Toby" Alina welcomed

"You need to behave"

"oh yes sir!" Aaron saluted his brother as if he was the captain

"Dont drink"

"Never, sir!" Aaron announced

"Don't do drugs"

"No sir, never"

"Don't do stupid things "

"N- Now that's up to Alina" Aaron joked

"Oh my! You're so funny..." she rolled her eyes

"But I'm serious" Tobias put on his best serious face

"Sure little man"

"It's not little man it's sir!" Tobias said with his chin up and Alina laughed saluting him

"Yes sorry! I'm sorry, sir!"

"Very Well" Tobias said with a smirk on his face "Now really behave! Ma is worried"

"Ma is always worried" Aaron said to him "Ma worries everytime we get out of her sight"

"That's true"

"Hey little bro...do you want to help me with my hair ?" A in a questioned

"Yeah!" he squealed happily. After a while the doorbell rang and Aaron immediately disappeared from the bathroom, his steps were heard climbing down the stairs.

"Why is Aaron so strange?" Toby questioned while brushing his sister hir

"He is in love" She explained

"Love is weird" Toby stated

"Very weird and very unique too"

"Do you ever been in love, Ali?"

"I guess so, once... A long time ago..."

"You don't love Jake?" he questioned with a eyebrow lifted

"Well, it's complicated...when we grow up everything is complicated"

"you love me right?"

"Yes very much" she said kissing his cheek "And Ma and Dad?" She simply nodded with a smile on her face "And Aaron"

"Well sometimes..." she laughed "Aaron can be a bummer sometimes"

"Yeah I love him but sometimes I don't " He said truthfully which made his sister laugh "I love Callie too"

"I love her too"

"And Colten...you don't love Colten do you?"

"Well, I used to but...we grow up and got bigger and things changed. But that- doesn't mean you can't love him..."

"yeah I know and besides all I think he loves you" he said sweetly and her lips curved in a smile and she didn't knew why
