Two days passed pretty quickly from Alina's perspective. They were already at the lake house finishing the dishes from lunch. The kids were playing and the adults thought of going on a canoe trip.

"It's just three hours will it be okay for you?" Anna questioned

"It's ok aunt just go, we will take care of everything" Alina responded laying on the kitchen isle

"You're the man in the house now Colten" Thomas informed "Take care of them"

"Yes, dad. Don't you worry about us. We will be fine. We'll probably take them to the waterfall" Colten responded

"Ok then be careful"

"This is my number, your dad's number, Martha's and Thomas', the nearest hospital, the fire station and the nearest neighbor's" Martha said passing a paper to Alina

"Mom, this is not our first time doing this relax. It will be fine"

"I'm fine just..."

"Worried" Alina smiled "Like always. Loosen up woman, have some time just the four of you it will be fun I'm sure"

"Thanks honey" They hugged each other and the four of them said their goodbyes to their children and left the house.

"So..." Colten spoke she glanced at him, his body resting on the frame door of the kitchen "We are alone" he wiggled his eyebrows

"Nope, we have our brothers outside so behave" She said looking at the ids playing outside, she wandered through the house gathering things to take to the waterfall, while Colten was carefully following her.

"Oh come on they won't see anything" he smirked

She looked at him with a not so amused face "stop it"

"You're sexy when you're feisty "

"I mean it" She told him

"ok ok" he smiled, she opened the big window door "Do you want to take a swim at the waterfall?"

"Yes!!!" They cheered. The waterfall wasn't that far away from the lake house it was a simple and small waterfall that made a natural pool, great to swim a bit with the kids due t the calm water and the fact that wasn't too deep.

"Wow look at the water" Callie said

"Last to get in is a chicken" Toby said quickly running to the water

"That's cheating" Callie informed. Alina and Colten put the beach towels on the grass and also a few bags they brought with them mostly things for the two kids.

"You need to put sunscreen" Alina said but the kids didn't paid attention they were already in the water playing "Guys! Sunscreen" she shouted but again she was ignored, to her salvation Colten whistled making the kids quickly look at them two Alina shook the bottle of sunscreen and they obeyed getting out of the water.

Alina poured the sunscreen in her hand and then on Callie's back and shoulders she passed the bottle of sunscreen to Colten, so he could do the same to Toby once they had their protection they ran again to the water.

Alina took of her shorts and unbuttoned her shirt put on her sunglasses and laid on her towel, she grabbed a book she brought with her and started reading. Colten took of his shirt and looked at her, his hands on his hips, his gaze was noticed by Alina she raised an eyebrow took of her glasses and questioned "What?"

"Are you serious?"

"Why?"

"You have this beautiful water in front of you and you won't take a swim? I thought better of you" he said disappointed

"After I finish this chapter I promise I will"

"Nope" he simply said, he took the book out of her hand and without hesitation grabbed her bridal style

"Colten!" Se warned "Do not! Colten!" But her cries weren't heard, the only sounds heard was the laugh of the two kids watching that scene. "Perk please"

"Babe chill, it's just water" he got in the water, when the water was reaching his waist he instantly dropped her without any warning. The three laughed at Alina she emerged through the water with an angry face.

"You look great wet" he smirked, she splashed water at him angrily "hey! Watch out"

"Babe chill, it's just water" she mocked him

"You're funny" he said ironacly

"You two are funny" Callie said laughing, her brother took her in her arms

"You are funny too miss" he said "do you want to play ?"

"With Toby " she said ignoring her brothers request

"Wow ok I'm hurt" Colten said putting her again in the water carefully, they watched Callie playing with Toby.

"So I'm all yours" Colten wiggled his eyebrows

"Are you?" She said swimming away from him he followed her like a puppy.

"Always have been" he said now near the waterfall

"You really are cheesy" she smiled aprecciating how soft he could be

"Its a new thing" he shrugged his shoulders and held her hand under the water

"I quite like it" she admitted he smiled without she seeing he guided her to pass through the water who was falling "oh I hate to pass this"

"Come on"

They pass through the water and could see through the blurriness of the water who was falling the two kids playing on the grass

"We need to watch them " Alina informed looking at them

"Its just one second" he replied.

She carefully took a look at them the water was almost like shielding them.to the outside world, they could see the world but the world couldn't see them. Her eyes divert to his and finally past two days they looked at each other with attention, with love.

"Hey" he whispered, his hand traveled to her jawline while the other one to her waist

she murmured back a very soft "hi"

He calmly got close and placed her lips on hers, his lips softly brushed on hers, he made his way to her mouth and their tongues touched and their hearts pounded, a second later he smoothly grabbed her bottom lip with his own lips making her give an unexpected groan making him immediately smirk.

"Don't do that"

"Why?" He continued smirking knowing he had met a weak spot, just like the other day on her room

"Because" she told him "the kids... We need to watch them"

His smirk grew "sure... The kids"

The days passed and Alina and Colten grew their relationship or whatever that was, they didn't quite talk about it they didn't need it, they were having the best time. The had a secret romance if you want to call it like that, a secret relationship when they could they would secretly flirt, hug, kiss here and there, change looks.

They were compensating for the lost time and they were happy not worrying about the world around them and they were just fine like that.

"If my brother hurts you I'll kill him" Alina said while drying out her hair with the towel

"Your brother is a saint! No worries, did I told you that we don't do anything but kiss?!" Zoey said from the other side of the phone, the two girls were having a chit chat over face time

"Please, if you ever do more than that don't tell me" Alina said with a disgusted face on.

"But I'm your friend" Zoey said pouting

"And he's my brother so..."

"What happened to you though?"

"What do you mean?" Alina questioned while brushing her hair

"I mean you're more happy than natural"

"It's summer! I'm normal" Alina smiled

"See.. that right there, it's disgusting" Zoey mentioned

Alina rolled her eyes "Dude I'm fine"

"I feel like you're sick"

"I'm fine Z" she said smiling and now applying some oil to her wet hair

"Hm yeah I doubt that"

"Don't overthink"

"It's just weird in a normal occasion you'd begging me by now to come and get you due to Colten's existence"

"Please come get me" Alina pouted

"You're weird"

"Thanks"

"Well, your brother's here I have to go"

"What movie you watching?"

"Pretty woman"

"Oh man he's so cliché " Alina joked

"He's cute" Zoey laughed "gotta go! Love ya"

"Love you too" the call ended and Alina got ready to bed she had already taken her bath and she did her face routine it was time to go to bed

She got in bed, the delicate sheets covered her, they were fresh perfect for a summer night like this one. She turned off the light of the chandelier and closed her eyes.

The sleep suddenly came, she was almost sleeping when she sensed the sheets moving making the cold get in and making her a shiver. Frightened, she tried to reach the switch of her bedside table to see what was happening then she heard a familiar breath.

How close where they that even by the way he was breathing she knew it was him.

"what are you doing here?" She whispered

"I missed you"

"But our parents..."

"They are sleepling" he murmured grabbing her waist under the sheets

"What if they wake and you're here"

"I put the an alarm at 6 am making sure they wouldn't catch me here" he informed "So can I sleep here?"

"Yes, if you behave"

"I always behave"

"Go to sleep" she said not holding back her smile 

"After a kiss" he said his breath reaching bet face due the closeness. He gently peck her lips "goodnight" he said

She closed her eyes ready to fall asleep but then she sensed a strong gaze upon her. She opened her eyes and saw him looking at her

"What are you doing? Go to sleep!"

"I'm looking at you" he smiled

"Stop it"

"I can't you're just beautiful "

"Go to sleep" He closed his eyes finally, but hers were quite open looking at him, he was so peaceful, so serene, so handsome even with his eyes closed, he was just everything she ever wanted and she could say he was finally hers.

Her heart beated fast at his sight, he made things to her that even herself couldn't clearly explain, maybe it was just this secret and excited relationship they had in their teenage years that made them so in love or maybe they were in fact very much in love. The hatred they felt for each other turns out it was nothing more than love, yet Alina couldn't stop but to think if this would last, if both of them could last loving each other and not hating as they had been doing for the last couple of years. To Alina it all seemed unreal and with an expiration date as much she didn't want to admit. It was like those things were it's too good to be real, in this case too good to last longer.

So for a small second she obligated herself to forget those problems and all of those thoughts.

In the dark of a summer night she approached him and softly kissed like it was their first kiss or maybe their last. The passion of the kiss overtook them and after a moment they separated to catch some hair "Weren't we supposed to sleep?" he asked with a raised eyebrow

"I changed my mind" she kissed him again and placed her right leg on the side of his torso so she was now on top of him her her chest was close to his. His hands traveled to her waist holding her steady in that position and just like that the climate changed. The room was hotter and the flannels that covered them weren't just keeping them hot but shielding them front the outside world. She kept on kissing him like she had never kissed him before savouring him.

Like a puppy he obeyed, he let her do whatever she felt like, he was numb, almost like in ecstasy, his heart pounding faster than ever adrenaline rushing through his veins. Her hands travelled to his torso searching a way to take the fabric of his t-shirt out of the way so she could touch his skin.

With both hands now touching his stomach making his skin burn he rolled them over to the side so now he was on top, commanding. As they rolled over their mouths parted giving them time to look at each other's eyes, he looked at her eyes something new in them he had never seen but that he loved, lust splattered in her eyes but he stopped realizing what they were doing "We can't"

"What?" She asked not understanding his behaviour

"I want it to be special not like this" he sad pouting and laying back on the bed, confused and lost of words she looked at him and smiled

"Your full of surprises"

"I'm sorry" he said looking at the ceiling "I know it's not my first time and it's not yours but it's our first time. I want it to be rational, I want it to be special not in the chalet, super low so our parents can't hear us" he said letting a breath out, his head moved so he could see her, she was already watching so once their eyes met he said "I'm sorry"

"Don't say sorry chilly. I am the one who should apologize. You're right" She smiled

"I am?" He questioned making her nod, she approached him and gave him a peck on the lips

"You are" she smiled " Let's sleep " she said placing her head in his chest, he smiled at her actions and caressed her head and they slept holding each other
