Alina was sleeping peacefully in her fantastic pillow when a loud bang scared her from her beautiful sleep.

"Alina honey get down for lunch it's already midday" she heard her mother

"Okay" she said in her sleepy voice, she hugged her pillow once again and the contact of her skin on her not-that-much-of-a-pillow woke her up "You're still here"

"hm" he hummed moving slightly for another comfortable position, seeing he was paying no attention to her she slapped him in the chest

"Ow ow" he said while coughing "What was that for?"

"Wake up and get out of my room"

"Calm dow I put the alarm" he said moving to the side to sleep again

"Did you? It's midday!"

"What?" he said quickly getting his phone from the bedside table "Shit"

"what do we do?"

"I don't know"

"My mom,your mom, my dad and your dad are already down stairs !! They can't see you leaving my room"

"Oh no what if they go to mine?" He realized

"Your stupid idea"

"Mine?You said you missed me...you even texted me before I got here!"

"It was like a good night thing..like goodnight, i miss you, see you tomorrow. Not come into my room because I miss you"

"It's almost the same thing"

"Yeah it's definitely similar" she commented ironically

"Oh don't be like that, you just had the best night of sleep ever and if it wasn't for me it wouldn't be just sleep right ? you feisty little girl " he teased

"Colten! I'm serious" Alina said getting up and opening the door carefully checking the hall

"Yeah I'm very aware of how serious you were last night"

"Shut up and go to your room" she said signaling him to get up and so he did, he got up and grabbed his phone, they examined the hall and she pushed him to go yet he didn't moved

"Not even a good morning kiss?" he raised an eyebrow, se rolled her but gave up giving him a sot kiss on his lips he smiled victoriously and when he was about to leave her room with a foot on the hall and other on her room they heard a small voice

"What are you doing?" They're faces went blank and their hearts stopped

"Did you slept with my sister?" Little Tobias asked next

"Hum-" Colten didn't know what to say, the two kids were looking at them two for explanation, but how do you explain this situation to a 6 year old kid

"No. What are you two doing here?" Alina asked

"What is he doing in your room?" Callie asked giggling before seeing the orders reactions, Colten grabbed her suddenly placing his hand over her mouth

"Shhh" Colten warned "Alina was afraid of the boogie man last night weren't you?"

"I was?"

"I'm afraid of him to" Callie said pouting "But Toby is not"

"Yeah I'm not"

"Neither am I" Colten said "That's why I came here to help your sister out"

"Ohh" the two kids said in understandment

"But...you can't tell anyone about this ok? Because the boogie man can't know that I protect her ok?" Colten asked an the kids believe nodding "We don't want the boogie man to eat Alina right?" And the kids nodded a no with their head "Right" he said putting Callie on the floor "No you guys go downstairs have fun and remember tell no one" he warned them putting a finger over his mouth in a signal of silence they nodded and disappeared

"This is not going to end well" She commented

"Maybe for you, the boogie man is gonna be a lucky guy" Colten said approaching her

"What? Why?"

"Because he's going to eat you" He kissed her neck making her ticklish, she pushed him off and warned him "You, need to control yourself"

he raised both hands as if she was a cop "You should hear yourself, feisty girl" he smirked and she started to slightly slap him in his body making him laugh

"I'll kill you"

"We need more bread for tonight" Anna told Martha, the two were now in the kitchen with Alina which was sat at the kitchen isle eating an ice cream and scrolling through her phone

"Really I though I had brought everything?"

" No, we need more"

"Well maybe Damien or Thomas can go there" Martha suggested

"Yea an baby" Anna called her husband "Can you go down town and buy some pasta"

"I can go!" Colten said quickly and excitedly getting in the kitchen making both women lift an eyebrow, Alina was not bothered at all by his behavior since she was already very aware of his happy self

"Well ok. It's just bread for the hot dogs."

"Ok" he smiled grabbing Alina's arm

"Hm- Wha Dow yow wane?" she asked by the sudden contact

"Alina!" Her mother warned her talking with her mouth full

"I want you to come with me"

"What? Down town is far from here you were the one who proposed to go why do I have to go to?" Alina questioned

"Go with Colten that way we would be more relaxed since you'll go together"

"Be my bodyguard" he whispered winking at her

"Go with him honey" Martha suggested

She looked at him with an annoyed face while his was happy smile was planted in his lips "I don't want to " she pouted

"She's coming" he said grabbing her arm and pushing her through the house. They went in his Mercedes till downtown where the nearest shop was the ride was a bit long since the lake was far from the civilization

"I can't believe you make me go"

"I wanted some time with you"

"So then our brothers can ditch on us"

"You rally got worried didn't you?" He chuckled

"Yes...they are young but they are not dumb"

"A look at you all scared of the boogie man"

"You really are annoying"

"You've been telling me that forever" He laughed "Can't you just say something different like... you really are hot... and i will be like oh why thank you"

"You're so full of yourself " she smiled

"Yeah but somehow you like me" He said taking a quick look at her, her face turned red and she bit her lip, blushing from his words, she turned her head to the window so he wouldn't see her "Oh I am making you blush"

"You aren't " she pouted

"Oh and now you are pouting" he said laughing while looking at the road, he parked the car once in town and they left to go to the grocery store

"Let's go get the bread "he said smiling

"What is it with you? All happy and stuff?" she questioned his overwhelming happy behavior

"Can't I be happy?" He asked while he closed the car door

"Sure you can, but it's weird and everybody is noticing it" Alina said looking at him coming towards her

"Well...they jut have to deal with it then" he shrugged his shoulders and held her hand, her eyes widened at the contact and she immediately looked at her hand

"what are you doing?" She said looking at their hands

"Holding you" he simply said walking through the town in direction of the grocery store "I'm afraid you run away"

Her thoughts were foggy at his sudden declaration "what am I 5?" She question, he smiled to himself

"I guess so. Counting your child his hair behavior the most likely is for you to have 5"

"Always answering back" she said with a pouty face, they got in the store and greeted the seller, since it was a small place they could see the seller right away, it was a older woman that had the little grocery store with her husband. Both of them, when they were younger used to come a lot of times to town and they knew the people here, thanks to Thomas, Colten's. Father that was in fact his hometown since he was far from home he decided to buy a house, a vacation house near his hometown and his people so he could be close to them and also his children. But once they met the Jones, the house was more of a party place, once the kids were born it started to be a vacation place, they would spent summer and Christmas by the lake and visit the town at night to see the beautiful lights. So Colten is quite famous around town since he is the son of Thomas that might be one of the reasons Alina is not found of this hand in hand thing

"Hi Greta" He said waving his hand, the older woman looked above her glasses and smiled instantly

"Oh the little boy" she said happily "John ! Come see this!" She screamed at her husband, he appeared into their view and quickly smiled at Colten

"Oh look at them is not a boy anymore innit?" John said approaching Colten and giving him a big hug letting go of Alina's hand, Alina smiled at the woman and approached the balcony where Greta was standing

"And who is this beautiful girl?"

"That's Alina, Greta" he smiled

"Oh the girl who was always with you"

"That's the one " he said coming near her, she blushed again, lately she seemed to blush a lot and always around him

"Oh you were thick as thieves, you were like two peas in a pod. Always together. I remember you walking in town hand in hand, so cute" Greta smiled

" Well now we are older" Colten said "But something just don't change" he teased her

"Well I see, It's great to always see a young couple in love" Greta mentioned "Nowadays you don't see a lot of couples like you two. Young people seem to waste their life in everything besides what really matters. Love"

"You're absolutely right, my heart " John agreed walking next to her " Love is very important so cherish it" he smiled giving a small peck in Greta's cheek "You can never take it for granted, enjoy it while you can"

"That's right. That's right" Gret agreed "But well what are you two lovebirds here for?"

"We aren't actually dat-" Alina was about to say but was rudely interrupted by Colten

"Bread! For hot dogs"

"Ah this way" John said and Alina followed him, Colten was near the balcony where Greta was looking at Alina and John

"I can see the hearts in your eyes" Greta murmured giggling

"What?" He asked taken by surprise

"I always knew since you were kids that you loved her, I can see you grew up and so did your love" she smiled

"Stop making histories old woman" he teased

"Ah still the joker I see, but I see, she'll be your heaven and your hell"

"Yeah I think so" he smiled

"Got them" Alina said with the bag of bread in her hand

"Here" Colten said paying for the bread , while Alina was happily leaving the store and talking with John Greta held Colten's hand to give him the change but she pulled him close and whispered in his ear "Falling in love is easy but staying in love that's the challenge "

He looked at her for moments taking in her words, concern fill his heart but then she said "are you ready for it?" She questioned looking at the happy girl talking with her husband Colten simply nod making her smile "Go on then, chop chop"

He smiled leaving the grocery store, they thanked the older couple and walked to the car, Colten was walking but with concern in his face from the previous words from Greta .Alina noticed his behavior and held his, shocked with his eyes widen he looked at their hands.

"What-" he tried to say but she simply smiled and said "I'm afraid you run away"
