"So she went to other Family Sunday? this is insane" Gabe commented

"How does she do it?" Sophia asked "How did she made Colten a total puppy... Urgh I have so many questions"

"Truth is she is different and it's scary" Alina mumbled to herself. They were in Alina's room, they got together to study but they ended up by doing a skin care day.

"The other day I heard a girl in class say she went to a nursing home" Gabe said with some difficulties sue to the mask who was now dried

"Nursing home..that girl really said new year, new me" Sophia told them which they hummed agreering

"I'm not complaining though I think that's great... Being better and not so bitchy like she was it's...really good" Alina commeted making the other two give her a questionable look "What? I'm serious. It's great for her and for Colten... he's... different"

"The words are coming out of your mouth in a weird way" Sophia mentioned

"It looks like you're saying it but you're actually revolted by what you're saying" Gabe agreed

"Guys please... I'm not"

"Well" Gabe said standing up to wash his face in the bathroom "Like it or not you'll see her tonight "

"Yay me" Alina cheered ironacly

"see ... you're starting to like her " Sophia teased . They took their masks off and cleaned the room, some minutes later they were interrupted by a knock on the door

"Hey sis! Mom told me to get ready we leave in 30"

"Thanks Aaron"

"How was the date?" Gabe teased

"Swee ...just like her" Aaron respnded liking his lips

"I don't need all that information!" Alina reminded her brother

"Uh I need" Gabe said enthusiastic

"a gentleman never tells" Aaron winked teasing Gabe and leaving the three

"He is a tease" Sophia smirked

"And eatable" Gabe remarked

"Don't you have an almost boyfriend?"

"I don't even know what we are" Gabe said in a sad tone "He just takes me to school, drives me home and gives me chocolate cake to eat at lunch"

"I ='d call that boyfriends"

"You do understand he nevers talks?" Gabe questioned "He looks like he's muted or something. He does things without talking or asking...he's weird"

"Maybe he doesn't know how to start a conversation" Alina suggested

"Yeah...Have tried to talk with him?" Sophia asked

"Yes... but lately all I say is Thanks I don't have anything else to say"

"Invite him to prom" Alina roposed

"Yes!!! Thats a great idea" Sophia agreed

"I don't know" Gabe said sad, the girls embraced him

"Tried it out" Alina encouraged

"Yeah you won't lose anything by trying" Sophia motivated too, They gave a hug and said their final goodbyes, Alina quickly dressed herself and did her make up for the special dinner... Colten's Birthday Dinner, the whole family , 'yay' was Alina exact though.

Her ironic though. Lately seemed that evrything related to Colten had to be dealed with some irony by Alina's part. She got ready and headed downstairs.

They got in the car and drove to the Perk's house there they were greeted with the family, Thomas' parents and Anna's mother and sisters, which was something rare. Anna's family had some spanish roots, she travelled to America in her juvenile years where then she met Martha and later Thomas, her sisters and mother prefered to go back to their home country s Anna used to live far from their family. Maria, Anna's mother, was the one who did the most traveling altough she wasn't young still it was important to her to be close to her family and in fact Maria loved America and most important she loved her grandchildrens...her blood ones and her 'adopted' ones.

"Nana!" Alina said happy to see Maria, she hugged her tightly "I missed you"

"Oh I missed you too hija" she caressed her cheek and slowly, with the help of her walker, she walked to Aaron to also give him a hug and then Toby.

"Oh you guys are here" Anna squealed hugging Anna

"Help?" Martha smiled

"You know it" they greeted each other and then went to separated ways. Damien went near the griller to help Thomas with the meat, Martha went to the kicthen to help Anna, Toby decided to play with Nana, Callie and Callie's cousins meanwhile Alina went outside to help settle the table.

She notices the table is half of the way done by a girl...very well dressed, Emma. Alina's heart clenched seeing her so comfortable in the house, with all the family around.

"Hey, you're here" Emma smiled looking at her while she was folding the napkings

"Yeah... need help?"

"No... you can sit and relax it's almost done" she said smiling. Alina sat taken back by all that, she thought about the future...eventually if Emma and Colten marry each other, this is what it would look like a big house where they would make these fancy dinners, where alina would come and ask for help and the job was already done, instead of her father on the griller it would be Colten, instead of her mother or Anna in the Kitchen it would be Emma and instead of Toby or Callie asking for a shoulder ride ir would be Colten and Emma's children.

"Hey are you alright?" Emma asked Alina, Alina slowly looked at her "You look very pale"

"I'm a bit nauseous" Alina referred gulping

"Maybe you should go to the bathroom, I have pills if you need" Emma offered kindly

"Hm- Thanks" Alina quickly got up and looked for the restroom, she knocked on the door

"Ocupado!" she heard from inside, it must be one of the Spanish cousin's, she miserably tried to climb the stairs and went to the first bathroom she could find.She kneeled in front of the toilet and throw up, her mind started spinning and her body was weak, she was so sleepy but she heard a voice from far away calling her.

"Alina?"

"Alina? Can you hear me?" Her eyes opened to see the person next to her and dissaointment filled her. "Sis? Are you ok? Let's wash that face" he said, he raised her up and washed her face.

"You had a low blood pressure" he informed her checking her temperature

"Thank God you're learning medicine" she mumbled

"Sick and still making jokes that's my sister" he chuckled "You need to lay down and change that shirt" he carried her to a room "Hey dude can I lay this here?" Aaron asked

"Yes- Hey, what happened?" Colten asked quickly apearing in her vision

"Low blood pressure she just needs a rock of salt and it will be good as new. She will probably pass out though" Aaron said leaving the room. Colten kneeled near his bed and caressed her head, he took the hair from her face and took a nice look at her. She had her eyes close but wasn't sleeping "You were late"

He frowned not understanding what she meant by that "You weren't there..."she said now giggling "You aren't there...all the time to catch me"

"What are yo talking about?"

"Are you happy though? With your new big family? I can her the kids calling... Dad... Dad" She said slowly "Why do I feel like I'm dying?"

"You're not dying drama queen"

"Now I'm a queen won't your wife be all pissed off?"

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"Oh no I'm sorry she can't get mad she's Gandhi now"

"Sis, suck on the rock of salt please" Aaron said smiling to himself entering in the room, his father behind him. Colten quickly got up so she could see them all

"Hey dad" she smiled

"Hi, what happened for this low blood pressure?" her dad asked, she shrugged her shoulders and put the rock of salt that her brother gave her in her mouth

"Probably she didn't ate like I told her too" Aaron said

"Hm probably" Alina responded

"She just ate a sandwich at lunch, a really poor one . Only with a breaded mini steak on it"

"Alina you need to eat.. did you ate breakfast?" her dad questioned... she didn't responded

"For the whole day, you only ate a freaking sandwich?" Colten asked out of the blue

"Yes Dad" She said

"Her humour stays still" Her brother said proudly

"Well, recover for some minutes here when you're more awake I want you downstairs to eat" Damien demanded leaving the room

"Suck that sis" Aaron teased leaving the two on the room

"I will" She said with rock of salt on her mouth

"You're impressive" Colten said shaking his head and puting his hand on his head as in despair

"Thanks"

"You really had to do that and leave me more nervous and anxious that I already am"

"I'm sorry man for...telling my blood pressure to get low"

"Don't joke around Alina!"

"Don't call me Alina like that...I will think that you care" She chuckled. he rolled his eyes and turned to the mirror he fixed his clothes and closed his eyes. Now. more awake she looked at him and analyzed what he was doing, definitely something was happening, he was nervous, it was something big...

"So what's the annoucement" she said making a noise due to the sucking caughting his attetion

"No annoucment"

"Really? it really looks like something big it's happening"

"Don't go all sherlock holmes."

"it's somehting bad?"

"No"

"oh my god... are you going to be a dad?" she asked adjusting herself with her head on the bed frame so she could see him properly "Are you going to be a daddy?" she teased

"You are really annoying."

"Don't be mean Daddy " she teased pouting

"I swear if you say that again I-"

"You what?"

"I will kill you"

"Well you got the job half the way done" she joked she then noticed his laptop full of mails and his desktop with letters "Oh... You were accepted" she mumbled he quickly covered her mouth

"Are you crazy? Do you want everyone to know?" he asked

"Isahn dat te hoint? " she asked him, his hand still over her mouth he took his hand

"no that isn't the point"

"you're nervous?" she asked making him nod

"you're nervous of telling your whole family you wont a scolarship and you were already accepted ? Wow, I feel nervous for you" She said with the biggest amount of irony she could

"It's a big thing"

"You're afraid of telling a good thing"

"you don't understand"

"who are you afraid of? your mom? she'll be happy. Your dad? He'll jump in joy. You sister? Whatever you do she'll be happy. Nana? she loves everything you do since you were born. Your cousins ? Yeah I don't think so or your girlfriend? who'll stay more than proud knowing her boyfriend will be a famous soccer player"

"You don't understand Alina"

"No- I understand very well in fact because the person who you're afraid of is yourself"

"Don't speak about what you don't know"

"But I know very well this is not what you want...you want-"

"Alina, don't "

"Fine, you know what... whatever do what you want, this is not even my job why should I care?" she mumbled to herself getting up he tried to reach her to help but she was quicker "why do I care, right?" she said gazing him then like they had never spoke about anything she asked "Can I have a sweater?"

"Yeah" he pointed to the drawer where she would find the sweaters. She took the sweater and without wanting a mail on his laptop caaught her curiosity, she chuckled to herself and left to the bathroom to change of clothes.
