Colten!

I need to get in, Alina thought

"Sir I know the guy I can help"

"Are you sure the situation it's really messy"

"I'll help I promise" the security guard nod and opened the door when he did she was faced by a shocking scenario

Alina's PoV:

My heart sunk at the view in front of me, I saw Danielle in a corner crying her dress was messy, I could see her bra and her makeup wasn't waterproof, she was crying and had this scared face on. On the other side of the bathroom I see Colten beating up someone and the guard between them, lets just say he wasn't doing a very nice job.

I got closer and I suddenly recognize Jake that was been beating up.

Shit

"Stop it" I say but Colten doesn't hear me, I furrow my eyebrows and then scream from the top of my lungs "STOP IT!"

This time Colten stops and looks at me but he was caught by surprise and Jake throws a punch making him step back. My heart races up immediately, Colten looks up at Jake under his eyelashes he cleans the blood that was coming out from his mouth and the next thing I know he is beating up Jake like he never beat up someone in his whole life.

I need to stop this.

I moved right into the fight, put myself in front of Jake, and looked at Colten in the eyes.

"Stop it!" I demanded

"Get out of my way!" he warned looking at Jake, make was being me looking like a scared puppy

"Colten! Look at me !" I shouted, after some debating with himself, he looked at me, his shoulders relaxed and then I spoke up.

"What the hell is happening here?"

"Ask your boyfriend!" Colten advise me turning to the mirror to see his bruises. I looked at Jake who looked awful and covered in blood.

"I- I was in the bathroom and he started to beat me!" he cried out

"WHAT? " Colten shouted "Tell her What the fuck you did !"

"Seriously Jake?" Danielle commented and I frowned my eyebrows, I was totally lost " I'm going to tell you what happened" Danielle said

"Your boyfriend has been cheated on you over the past months and he was doing it right before Colten came in" she said coldly when I thought that my heart couldn't be more damaged, destiny came right up "I teased him.by talking to Colten, we met up here and out little time when this douchebag fids us and starts to beat the shit out of him"

Tears rush down my face, my face doesn't move but the water flows, falls into my cheeks and between my blurry vision I looked at Jake, I walk near him " You disgust me " I said in the most revolted tone I have ever done, I slap him with all my strength.

The mark of my hand in his face, he doesn't say anything because he knows whatever he will say I will not listen.

"Since it's all figure out here I hope you boys know you'll have to get out of the hotel... Have the time you want and then please meet me outside" the security guard informed, he left the bathroom and I grabbed Colten's hand and pushed him to follow me, after leaving I looked at Danielle

"Be careful because if he did it once he might be doing it twice" and with that we left

"Where are we going?" he asked I shushed him and watched the guards they were both talking about the previous events and didn't notice us so we quickly ran to the elevator

I clicked in the button to the 8th floor and I saw Colten's weird look, not knowing what I was doing.

Weird silence.

After the long and strange elevator ride, we stopped on the 8th floor. I got out of the elevator and walked, he followed me a little unsure I paused near the door of room 843 and used my card to get in.

I got in the room and moved to the bathroom, I heard him close the door.

"Is this yours?"

"Technically for today, yes it is," I said ripping the tears on my cheek and looking for the first aid kit.

I heard him walking to the bathroom "Why do you have it?"

"My brother was going to come with me today so my mom thought that it was better to have a room in case of drinking problems" I said getting up with the kit in my hands, I walked to the sink where I laid the kit and searched for compresses

"come here " I demanded he leaned over the sink and looked at me carefully I ignored his intense gaze and wet the compresses

"You don't have to do this"  he commented

"You didn't have to that either "

"I didn't do it for you, I did it for me" he said I carefully cleaned the bruises on his face, his lip was open and he had an enormous cut under his eye and a little one on his eyebrow.

"Why did you do it then?" I asked calmly

"Because- " he paused for a second and I felt my skin burn at the severe gaze he was giving me "He had what every guy in school wanted and he still managed to screw up"

I looked at him for a brief moment trying to decipher that phrase, for some seconds I think I knew what he meant but I washed that thought off and concentrated on his bruises.

"You need to stop getting in fights" I noted

"As if you care..." he mumbled to himself

Is he serious now?

"Look, you might be careless, immature and a total douche but that doesn't mean everyone else is" I told him, I left him in there and went to the room looking for the bucket with champagne and I took a couple of ice cubes and wrapped it around a towel

"What is that?" he asked me when he saw me with the towel in my hand, I carefully placed it on his cheek

"You don't want to have a black eye do you ?" I said in a sarcastic tone

He was about to answer but was interrupted by a ringtone, my phone's ringtone. "Hold this" I demand leaving the bathroom.

"Hey..."

"Hey! Alina?!"

"Zoey"

"Where the hell have you been? Is everything ok?"

"Uhm yeah"

"What happened?"

"I found Colten and Jake fighting in the bathroom"

"Oh my god is everyone ok? Are they all alright? You good? Did they hurt you? Do I need to kill someone?"

"Well, physically no... no I'm not hurt"

"What do you mean ?"

"Danielle was also in the bathroom"

"what?"

"Colten caught Danielle and Jake eating each other's faces "

"That...THAT...STUPID ASS MOTHERFUCKER IM GOING TO KILL HIM WHERE IS HE?"

"Calm down, he was probably kicked out of the hotel "

"I'll kill him next year...where are you?"

"I'm in my room upstairs"

"Oh ok? Are you feeling alright? Do you want me to go there?"

"no, it's ok! I just need some time"

"Well then hurry up you only have more 10 minutes this year"

"Wow really?"

"yeah, we are at the club in the same place as always. Meet us here!"

"Ok I will don't worry"

The call ended and I stood there in the middle of the room looking at the city lights from the window. Sometimes I just wish things were simple, yet still beautiful, no pain no tears... but then where would be the good stories, the great understandings, the amazing knowledge, and wisdom?

"Who was that?" I hear Colten say, I must have been looking at the window for a couple of minutes, I didn't even notice he was next to me looking at the city too

"just Zoey, wanted to know if I was ok" I said and he hummed, he was holding the ice near his cheek but not in the right place so I took the ice that was wrapped in the towel, touching his fingers slightly making his head turn to me, I moved the towel to the right place.

"you were putting it in the wrong place" I explained, he didn't say anything he was just gazing, his eyes were shinning but maybe it was just my imagination tricking me.

"I know I don't say it a lot but...Thank You" he whispered not adverting his eyes from me. His eyes then drove calmly through my body, I felt my skin burning, he checks out every place like I wasn't in front of him.

He took his time looking at my dress while giving a little smile. I was wearing a smile pink dress.

He was handsome like always he had a nice pink blazer too, it's weird that we came in the same color but again it's New Year the probabilities of people coming equal to you it's enormous.

He wasn't just hot, he was gorgeous, beautiful he definitely look like a gentleman no wonder why everyone in school wants a piece of him.

But I don't, No, I don't want him.

I snapped out of it and took a look at his cuts "it looks better" he didn't respond his eyes were still on me, then I saw his eyes moving to my lips examing them

Then in an split second I felt his warms hands embraced my face with the shock of his actions I dropped the ice, he didn't flinch his eyes stared at mine.

My heart was thumping like crazy and before I knew he crashed his lips against mine sweetly and gently, only lips.

I didn't know what was happening, I don't know know why I wasn't freaking out either instead of pushing him back I pulled him closer, my hands grabbing his blazer, our eyes closed.

His lips we're warm and sending shivers down my spine, his hands were holding my face so I wouldn't escape and maybe I'm dreaming but this kiss seemed so meaningful like he was trying to speak through it.

And between the sweet kisses, we heard a big noise, dozens of fireworks exploding in the sky
