FEAR

The moment I opened the room's door I couldn't see anything.

I tried to open the grey room's door but somehow  the door vanished. I couldn't feel the door knob anymore. I could only feel a smooth surface like a  wall.

I was all alone; standing in a pitch black room which I assume was like a corridor cause I could only feel two walls surrounding me in two directions and emptiness on the other sides.

Flashback

It was summer time, something around 7-8 years back. I was in a small town with Aviva, mom and dad. We were roaming around the town since morning. At night we visited a fair that was held near the infamous forest. The forest was well known for its tall and dense trees. And there were many rumors around related to the dense forest. I heard a kid say, if anyone dared to get into the middle of the forest in nightime, the person will be rewarded. Another kid said, there's some supernatural powers in this forest.

The thought of  supernatural powers excited me. The forest looked pitch black at night even after being next to the well lit town fair. I decided I'll go and have a look inside the forest. I told my parents I need to go to the washroom.

And then I ran straight to the north heading up to the forest. I looked back once to keep pace with the directions.
I started walking; with each step, I was   getting deeper into the dense forest.
After walking for a few minutes the entire glow of the town vanished. I turned on my flashlight and started following the weird sound I heard few moments back.

It was a very low growl. I kept following the sound but after a while I couldn't hear it anymore. I tried concentrating harder to listen the sound but somehow the sound just vanished. And I felt something touched my feet. I got so scared that I started running without looking where was I heading to. After around 5-10 minutes of continuous running  I reached somewhere when I couldn't see anything. And that's when I realized I dropped my flashlight while I was running. 

I was all alone in a dark and huge forest. I was scared. So scared that I couldn't even move; I didn't have any idea about what animals could possibly be there in this forest. 

I started shouting mom, dad and Aviva's names. Maybe they'll find me or maybe they'll never find me.

I started sobbing and this darkness was chocking me. I couldn't see anything, it made me feel something that I never felt in my life.

I don't remember what exactly happened after that but according to my family, they and the forest department searched for me all night and they found me fainted the next morning in the middle of the forest.
All I remember is it took me months to recover from the incident.
And I never saw darkness in my life after that until today. I always had the lights on. I never went to a place without a flashlight.

It's been years since the forest incident happened but I still feel the same anxiety running inside of me.
The scenes from the night in the middle of the forest kept playing like a video in front of me and I could feel the fear; the panic building inside of me.

The same feeling of darkness chocking me, the loneliness and silence of the long room was getting inside of me. It felt like I couldn't breathe; I couldn't walk. All I could feel was the darkness that surrounded me. 

A felt a similar type of nausea hitting me as if I was in the forest. It felt like I was living my worst nightmare again.

I called Mom, Dad, Aviva, Daniel, Kate and Jenna's name for the last time. It felt like I was sinking in the darkness.
I hoped for them to show up and save me like they did the last time but I knew I'm in an unknown place this time.

Then suddenly I saw a tiny source of light in front of me. It was so small that it was almost neglegible. I opened my eyes a little and started crawling towards the source of light.

The tiny source of light seemed to enlarge with every step of mine. I started to walk towards the light and I realized that it's not a tine hole but a gate to my escape.

Did I actually enter into a game like Jumanji or something? 

I had no idea where I was going but what I knew for sure was I'm somehow stuck inside an escape room's game.

After walking for a while the corridor finally opened into a terrace or something. I took a few steps till I came to the end of the terrace and when I looked down, I found out that this was one of the largest heights I have ever been to. It must have been at least 70 floors. Maybe even more. Then I turned around only to see a familiar face.....
