Finally, I was done with the detention.

"Agh! I'm done with math for lifetime now. I'm not touching that subject anytime soon but now isn't the time for all this. I'm already half a hour late and it takes 30 minutes to reach the bungalow", I muttered.

After setting the navigation,I ran straight for the old bungalow.
I reached the spot we were supposed to meet at and it was all empty.
"They didn't wait for me. Well I'm a hour late so can't do anything." I said in frustration.

"Wait, are they all still inside? It's been more than a hour. Maybe they waited for long. Well, now I have to go on my own." I exclaimed in a confused tone.

"A right from the next block and you'll reach your destination.", The navigation said.

"Fine, let's find these people alone."I said in an exited tone.

After 5 minutes I was standing in front of the entrance of the huge bungalow.

I checked the front and backyard first, but there was no sign of my friends.

"Hmm, that's a little weird. Well let's go and check inside.", I muttered.

The door was closed, but just took a mere push to open it.
" Woah,this house is giving me ghostly vibes. No one has been here for years.", I said.

"Max, Kate, Daniel, Jenna, guys, finally I'm here. I know I'm late, I got detention unfortunately. I'm really sorry about that and by the way where are you guys?" I screamed.

"This isn't a joke right? Y'all need to be serious about it. I'm asking once again, where are y'all?" I screamed.

But all I got in return was a pin drop silence.

"This is a lame and dumb joke, if y'all are thinking it's funny, let me tell you it's not." I said it out loud but still didn't get any response.

"Fine, y'all wanna play hide and seek. Then let's do it." I said in a confident tone.

I took the stairs for the second floor. "Damn this house is huge.", I said in astonishment.

I entered the first room that came in my sight. I opened the door without hesitation, thinking they'll all will be in here.
But it was all empty.

It looked like a girl's room.
Oh it must have been Julia's room. She was a beautiful 10 year old girl who died because of a rare psychological disease. Which was one of the reasons, Dr. Louis and Dr. Suzan started working on the simulation device.

I took a good look at the room. The walls were filled with pictures of Julia with her parents and friends. Everything was dusty but neat in a way, as if no one even entered this room after she died.

I walked in the next room which was Dr. Louis and Dr. Suzan's bedroom.
It was huge and beautiful. Walls were filled with pictures of them, with their family, friends and Julia, awards and certificates they received in these many years.

Dr. Suzan being the best neurologist in the entire state and Dr. Louis for his contribution in mechanical and quantum physics.

I'm not gonna start with Dr. Louis discoveries and contribution in science, specifically physics, he's literally Max's biggest inspiration. Max was the one who explained me about all his innovations and theories. He collected most of the information he could have gathered in the last 3 years.
And today we're standing here in this huge bungalow, trying to figure out the biggest mystery of the town. And now I can't find them in this huge bungalow.

I went up in the attic but no one was their also.
Where can they go?

Ohh, the underground lab.
Exactly! How can I forget that place is claimed mysterious and rumors say that the couple vanished while working on the device.
Well, we never believed such rumors.
No one was even interested to investigate about what actually happened to them?

Then around 6 years back, a physics  student, Philip, took the initiative to search for them but he then never returned back either. He vanished just like the Doctors.

I headed straight to the lab.
It took 10-20 minutes to finally find the door that'll take me to lab.
I don't understand why they made it underground.

After walking down the stairs, I finally saw a huge black door.
I pushed it open and then everything went black.
