Life is so boring at the same time hectic when you're in high school.

Wake up at 7am, reach School by 8. Stay for 5-6 hours there and then come back home with homeworks and preparations for the never ending tests and sleep around 11pm.

Agh!!! I'm so fed up of this daily routine. I just want to run away from this dumb scheduled life but unfortunately I know I can't.
So here we go again with the same routine...

I walked downstairs after getting ready in my usual simple outfit: black ripped jeans and a printed white shirt leaving my black shoulder length hair open.

The moment I walked to the dinning area, the sweet aroma of pancakes hit my nostrils.

"Ah! I love pancakes.They smell amazing mom."I said in an excited tone.

"Good morning, Avi. Come fast and have a seat and enjoy your pancakes." She said in a cheerful voice.

I went and sat next to Max,my twin brother but believe me we are just twins for name sake, otherwise we are literally two opposite humans.

"Hey, Max" I said in a happy tone to my brother who had his face buried inside a physics encyclopedia.

Uhh!! He's always reading some math or physics book. He can't live without them for even a single day.

He probably ignored me but after a few minutes he asked me out of nowhere. " Avi, do you know the diameter of  2008 TC3. "

" What's that? "
" It's an asteroid. "
" Is it like a large one? "
" Pretty large. ",

He sounded sarcastic while saying the word 'pretty' but since Max is so unpredictable, I anyways just said,
"1000 kilometers"

" Idiot, Ceres is the largest asteroid and it's diameter is about 950 kilometers. No asteroid is larger than that. "
" Maybe 50 kilometers "
" No no no, wrong. Now you only have one more chance. "

Now I knew the answer was a very small digit. And surely it was a very random digit. So I just blabbered a random digit in centimeters,
" 98 centimeters "

" Ooooooh ", Max yelled, " that was close. "
" Why, what's the correct answer? "
" 4.1 meters "

Max laughed sarcastically at his dumb answer. I felt like throwing the pancake in my plate at his face after going through his lame question and even lamer answer. But being the elder twin, I decided to forgive him. And also my pancake was more valuable than his face.

After that, a minute or two passed by peacefully, without any idiotic questions.
I was enjoying my pancakes and suddenly Max yelled with all his might.
" AVIVA!!! "

The scream was so sudden that the pancake I swallowed pretty much choked my throat.
" What? ", I asked, while coughing.
" I just proved that 0=1 "
" Look ", I said , " If you don't want a pancake at your face, then stop your non sense. "
" No no no, it's for real. It's basically like- "

" Stop ", I said, cutting off his sentence, " No more non sense. "
Max was silent after that, but there was still a weird smile on his face.
But then I kind of felt bad for cutting off his sentence so I asked,
" By the way, what's your proof. "
The smile on his face grew wider and he said," Yeah, so it's like - according to a law of exponent any number X^0 is always equal to 1, and also 1^1 is equal to one. " 

I was just nodding my head while he  said all this. I just said, " Yeah. "
Then Max said, " Yeah, so, if the value of variable X is 1 and X^0 is one and 1^1 is also one then their exponents share the same value since both give the answer one. Hence proved, 0=1. "

It took me a while to process what I have just heard. Once I understood that his "proof" was beyond non sense, I thought about how I should punish him. Maybe throw the hot pancake in my plate right at his face. Or maybe pour the water in my glass on his encyclopedia. But then I got a bit sarcastic, and said,

"Wow!!, Nice proof. You are a genius" 
" Thank you ", Max replied also being sarcastic.
" I guess you should get the patent for this as soon as possible."
" Yeah, I will go to the patent office soon."
He hummed, sarcastically, " I'm gonna get a patent! "
Then I said, " Before you get your patent, get this."
I grabbed my glass of water and poured it all over his head.

" Heyy?! " He said angrily, "You got my encyclopedia wet.
I looked at the book. There was literally just one drop of water on it. That too in the corner where the page number was written. The rest of the book was absolutely fine. I don't have words for this guy. His clothes are all soaked up in water and he is still thinking about his book.

I was about to speak but mom stepped  in between.
"Stop fighting, both of you." , She said. She handed Max a towel. Then she tried to calm him down by saying that she will get him a new encyclopedia. But that wasn't enough. 

He stared at me with rage in his eyes. He wanted revenge. So he went right for my pancake. I thought he would throw it in the trashcan but he made a smarter move. He ate the pancake by himself instead. I have to admit, that was a sensible move. Normally, someone would throw it in the Dustbin. But he made sure he also did a profit to himself while doing my loss.

After this, he left the kitchen with a grumpy expression on his face, with the towel still on his head.

Max came downstairs wearing his annoying E=MC^2 T-shirt.

It was annoying because it was blue just like all his other T-shirts.
And don't even ask me about his obsession over the colour blue.

Two years back when we moved in this house, Max insisted to paint the entire house blue. Not only that. The true insanity is when it comes to his room. Chair- blue, table- blue, PC- blue, bed-blue, yeah bed too. When we got his bed, it had a very nice wooden touch. BUT. Max refused to sleep on it because it wasn't blue. So we had to get all the wooden part of it  painted blue. Sometimes when I enter his room it feels like he thinks blue is the only colour which exists. And then he says that I'm weird cause I like black and white shades. I guess that explains why we don't have a pet. We are concerned that if we have one then he will get that dyed in blue too.

"Aviva Max hurry up, you're getting late for school." Mom shouts from the kitchen making both of us run to catch the school bus.

After getting into the bus Max says, "Today is an important day."

And I nod my head.

The character Max is inspired from my brother.
So y'all k how he is now ..😂😂
