"Otherwise, She's Gone"
Previously on Survivor..
On the Tierra tribe, Jasmine was feeling uncomfortable about her position in the game. However, Shirley, Gil, Jake, and Sherman embraced tribe unity. On Fuego, Ahmed, Finn, and George were starting to get uncomfortable with how close Luke and Nadine were. When Fuego lost immunity, George decided to jump ship at the last minute and blindside Luke with Finn and Ahmed.
11 are left. Who will be voted out tonight?
Night 15
Fuego - Post-Tribal
(The Fuego tribe returns to camp and sets their torches down)
Finn: I'm sorry, Nadine.
Nadine: It's fine. What's done is done.
George: Do you understand why I did it?
Nadine: No. Why?
(George and Nadine go for a walk)
George: He was kind of a threat. He would probably win all of the Immunity challenges.
Nadine: Luke?
George: Yeah.
Nadine: Maybe you're right. But you have to promise you're with me.
George: I promise.
Nadine: Are you sure?
George: Definitely.
George (CON): If we lose the next Immunity, the decision is entirely up to me. I need to make sure I'm not in that position.
Day 16
Reward Challenge
(Shots over the competition ground is shown, along with dramatic music in the background)
Jeff: Come on in, guys!
(The Agua and Tierra tribes walk in and stand on their mats. They look over as the Fuego tribe enters)
Jeff: Agua and Tierra getting their first look at the new Fuego tribe. Luke voted out at the last Tribal Council.
(Shocked murmurs and whispers go on for a while)
Jeff: Are you guys ready to get to your next reward challenge?
Castaways: Yes!
Jeff: For today's challenge, one castaway from each tribe will start at the top of a waterslide. Once I say 'go', I will pull a lever, where a large sandbag in a suspended net will zipline down to a sandpit at the bottom of the slide, and you will then race down the slide into the sandpit. The first two people to get to their tribe's mat with the sandbag in hand scores a point for their tribe. First two tribes to two points wins reward. Wanna know what you're playing for?
Castaways: What?
Jeff: The winning tribes will receive three chickens! You can eat them immediately, or you can wait. Your chickens, your call, but you gotta win 'em first. Fuego and Agua, you have two extra members. Who's sitting out?
Nadine: I will, Jeff.
Sherman: I think I'll take a break.
Jeff: Nadine for Fuego sitting out and Sherman for Agua also not playing. Everyone else, I'll give you a minute to strategize, and we'll get started.
Highlights:
1. This first match is Gil (Agua) vs. George (Fuego) vs. Lorraine (Tierra). George is the first person to arrive at the slide, closely followed by Gil. Lorraine comes about ten seconds later. George and Gil search for the sandbag in the sandpit for quite a bit, and Lorraine manages to catch up. However, Gil finds his sandbag for Agua, followed by George for Fuego, winning those two tribes a point.
2. The second match is between Jake (Agua) vs. Finn (Fuego) vs. Hal (Tierra). Hal and Jake manage to take the lead in running, but it takes them a while to find the sandbag. Eventually, Finn catches up and wins the round for Fuego when he finds his sandbag first. Hal finally has his after glancing over it.
Jeff: Fuego wins reward!
3. The third and final match is between Shirley (Agua) vs. Ahmed (Fuego) vs. Jasmine (Tierra). Ahmed is the fastest runner, and Shirley is barely ahead of Jasmine. Ahmed finds his sandbag before Shirley and Jasmine even reach the sandpit. In a close race, Shirley wins reward for Agua.
Jeff: Agua wins reward!
Jeff: Fuego and Agua win reward!
(Fuego and Agua cheer, while Jasmine, Lorraine, and Hal look dejected)
Jeff: Congratulations to the winning tribes. Your rewards will be waiting for you back at camp. As for Tierra, I've got nothing for you. Grab your stuff, head back to camp, I'll see you later.
Lorraine (CON): It's time that Jasmine started pulling her weight in this game. Otherwise, she's gone.
Day 16
Agua - Post-Reward
(Gil, Jake, Sherman and Shirley arrive back to camp)
Shirley: Nice job, guys.
Jake: Yeah. Good team effort.
(The tribe all cook the chickens and eat them by the campfire)
Gil (CON): If the time finally comes for Agua to lose an Immunity challenge, then me and Jake have got to stick together. Screw that merge pact.
Sherman: This is really good.
(Shirley and Sherman talk in the background)
Gil *whispering*: I don't want to stick to the pact.
Jake: Why not?
Gil *whispering*: Keep your voice down! If we lose Immunity, we need to vote someone out.
Jake *whispering*: We're not gonna lose Immunity.
Gil *whispering*: You don't know that. In case it happens, we need to have a plan.
Jake *whispering*: Okay, so who are we gunning for then?
Gil *whispering*: It doesn't matter. We'll see eventually.
(Sherman and Shirley go off to the well)
Shirley: What do you think they're talking about?
Sherman: Nothing important.
Shirley: Hmm. I'm suspicious.
Shirley (CON): I understand that strategic talk is the name of the game, but if it doesn't involve Shirley, it's concerning.
Day 16
Tierra - Post-Reward
Jasmine: Sorry, guys.
Hal: It's not your fault. We did the best we could.
Jasmine (CON): Our tribe is clearly struggling. We're a small group of three and we don't necessarily win much. When the time comes, I need to form relationships that will benefit my game.
Lorraine: Hal, I need to talk to you.
Hal: Sure.
(Lorraine and Hal relax on the beach)
Lorraine: The merge is happening soon.
Hal: Yeah.
Lorraine: What do you think of merging the two alliances? Stick together as a tribe?
Hal: We could do that. Totally.
Lorraine: That would be great.
Hal (CON): Making plans for the future is what this game is about. I like Lorraine's thinking.
Day 16
Fuego - Post-Reward
(The Fuego tribe returns to see their chickens)
George: Aw! Look at them.
Nadine: I know, they look so cute.
Finn: Well, we gotta eat.
Nadine: Ugh. Why does this have to happen? Poor animals.
Ahmed: Are you vegetarian?
Nadine: No, I just can't. I'm sorry, I'm not having any.
Finn (CON): Nadine apparently doesn't want to eat an animal. Understandable, but she better not complain about having an empty stomach!
(Finn, Ahmed, and George each eat the cooked chickens, while Nadine eats rice)
Nadine (CON): The main reason I didn't want to eat a poor animal was because of my daughter. She wants to be a vegetarian, and I know she doesn't want to see her mother on the television screen eating a cooked chicken. The decision was for her.
(Finn and Ahmed travel to the well, after everyone is finished eating)
Ahmed: Do you think George is with us or...?
Finn: He better be.
Ahmed: If he goes with Nadine, then it's a two-two split. And that's bad. We're at eleven, not four.
Finn: Mm.
Ahmed (CON): It absolutely sucks to go before merge. That's why I need to make sure I have the votes to stay so I can make it.
Day 18
Immunity Challenge
(Dramatic music plays as the castaways head into their next Immunity challenge)
Jeff: Come on in, guys!
(The castaways arrive at their mats)
Jeff: So we're gonna do things a little differently this time. For today's Immunity challenge, you will be standing on a narrow perch with just your bare feet. The longer you stay in the challenge, the more physical pain you will feel. There will be three people from each tribe competing in this challenge. But there's more. Only one tribe will win this Immunity challenge, sending the other two tribes to Tribal Council, where each of you will vote out of your own - just before the merge. Whoever loses the challenge first will go to Tribal first. Fuego, who are you sitting out?
Ahmed: I'll sit. Okay.
Jeff: Agua?
Sherman: I don't think I can do this.
Jeff: All right. Let's get started.
Highlights:
1. Gil, Jake, and Shirley are competing for the Agua tribe. Finn, George, and Nadine are competing for the Fuego tribe. Hal, Jasmine, and Lorraine are competing for the Tierra tribe.
2. Jasmine immediately steps off about one minute and thirty seconds into the challenge. She states that she didn't believe she could do it. After about five minutes, Nadine cannot handle the pressure.
3. Fifteen minutes have passed and everyone looks solid. However, Jake loses his balance along with patience. The tribes are officially neck and neck until Lorraine fails to pay attention and also falls.
4. Shirley exclaims that this challenge is difficult forty minutes in. Unfortunately, it is Gil that gets distracted and is eliminated. The final four are Shirley, Finn, George, and Hal.
5. Two hours pass and still nobody falls. However, Shirley is annoyed at how much her feet hurt, and steps down, losing Immunity for Agua.
6. A couple minutes go by, and Finn cannot take the pain any longer and drops out. It is now a battle between George and Hal.
7. Another hour later, Hal worries that his big feet are harmed. Meanwhile, George is closing his eyes, fighting the urge to drop. Eventually, Hal decides to take a rest.
Jeff: George wins tribal Immunity for Fuego!
(The members of Fuego all rejoice and hug George. On the other side, Agua and Tierra look less happy)
Jeff: Fuego, congratulations. No Tribal Council for you tonight. Come get your idol. Enjoy your rest of the day
(Fuego leaves)
Jeff: Sadly, Agua, Tierra, two of you will be the sixth and seventh person voted out of this game. Agua, since you were the first tribe to lose, you will be heading to Tribal right now.
Shirley: Oh, sh*t.
Tribal Council A:
(Agua walks in)
(Agua takes their seats)
Jeff: Welcome to your first Tribal Council as a new tribe, Agua.
Gil: Thank you.
Jeff: So, what did you guys think of that new challenge?
Sherman: It was rough, definitely. Also unexpected.
Jake: We had Shirley stay in it for as long as she could, but it just wasn't enough.
Shirley: Oh, thanks for the mention.
Jeff: And in the end, you have to vote someone out. We're two versus two.
Sherman: Exactly. Shirley and I talked about who were going for, and we're going after a threat.
Jake: So it's a tie, then?
Sherman: Never said it was.
Jeff: So, really, anything can happen tonight. Shirley, is that scary?
Shirley: Of course! Part of the game is trying to scare people. I don't mind that.
Jeff: Is everyone ready to vote? Just to be clear, those of you who survive will make the merge.
Jake: Yes.
Gil: Ready as I'll ever be.
Shirley: I guess.
Sherman: Yup.
Jeff: All right. Gil, you're up.
(Montage of all of the Agua players casting their votes. Sherman's is not shown, but is not montaged)
Sherman: I'm sorry.
Jeff: I'll go tally the votes.
(Jeff returns with the urn)
Jeff: Once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person voted out will leave the Tribal Council area immediately. I'll read the votes.
First vote:
SHIRLEY
(Shirley looks annoyed yet unphased)
JAKE
That's one vote Shirley, one vote Jake.
SHIRLEY
That's two votes Shirley, one vote Jake.
(Shirley turns to Sherman)
JAKE
Jeff: We have a tie. Sherman and Gil, you will each cast your re-vote. If there is still a tie after that, the two of you will draw rocks. Sherman, you're up this time.
(Sherman and Gil both cast their votes)
Jeff: I'll go tally the votes.
(Jeff returns with the urn)
First vote:
SHIRLEY
(Shirley nods)
Sixth person voted out of Sims Survivor: Mexico:
SHIRLEY
Shirley: Oh, my God!
(A surprised Shirley grabs her torch and hands it to Jeff, who snuffs it)
Jeff: Shirley, the tribe has spoken.
(Shirley turns to Sherman before leaving)
Shirley: Why?
Jeff: Congratulations. I'll see you guys at the merge. We have another tribe to get through.
(The Agua tribe leaves)
Final Words A:
Shirley: Well, my tribe clearly outplayed me. This game was fun, and I wouldn't trade the experience for the world.
Tribal Council B:
(Tierra walks in)
(Tierra takes their seats)
Jeff: Welcome to your second Tribal Council as a new tribe, Tierra, where you will have to vote yet another member out.
Lorraine: We know. It sucks.
Jeff: It sure does. Now, as a tribe of three, will this be an easy vote? Jasmine's outnumbered here.
Hal: Honestly, I would imagine so.
Jasmine: I guess.
Lorraine: Not necessarily. The vote will probably be about the quality of relationships that all three of us have built and our personal strategic preference.
Jeff: I see. When we get to the merge, we will see so many possible combinations of relationships. Tonight is the night. But do we not need to vote?
Lorraine: No. I vote no. Let's not do a verbal thing.
Hal: Really?
Lorraine: I want everything to be normal. We're ready to vote.
Jasmine: Thank you.
Jeff: All right then. Let's vote. Hal, you're up.
(Montage of all of the Tierra players casting their votes. Hal's is shown)
Hal voted for Jasmine
Hal: This is purely strategy.
Jeff: I'll go tally the votes.
(Jeff returns with the urn)
Jeff: Once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person voted out will leave the Tribal Council area immediately. I'll read the votes.
First vote:
JASMINE
(Jasmine has a disappointed expression)
That's one vote Jasmine.
HAL
(Hal nods his head)
That's one vote Jasmine, one vote Hal. One vote left.
Seventh person voted out of Sims Survivor: Mexico:
HAL (I'm sorry)
Jeff: You need to bring me your torch.
Hal: Really?
(Hal grabs his torch and hands it to Jeff, who snuffs it)
Jeff: Hal, the tribe has spoken.
(Hal turns to Lorraine before leaving)
Hal: Why would you do this, Lorraine?
Lorraine: You were bad for my game. Sorry.
Jeff: What a big move. I'll see you two at the merge.
(Jasmine and Lorraine leave)
Final Words B:
Hal: I knew I should have stayed away from Luke and George. To think we would have been such a dominating force. I guess my luck ran out.
Votes A:
Votes:
Jake (2): Sherman and Shirley
Shirley (2): Gil and Jake
Re-Votes:
Shirley (2): Gil and Sherman
Votes B:
Hal (2): Jasmine and Lorraine
Jasmine (1): Hal
