You stared at her with gratitude. "You could do that?" You put the phone down. "Oh, well thats a very generous offer. could you?"

She laughed at this. "Of course i can! Why else would i offer?"

"I don't know. To get my hopes up?" You joked.

You both laughed at this and left the place and got into the car together. "Ooh, nice interior" You observed and stroked the seat of the car.

"I'll say, now buckle up!" And with that you were both off, tearing down the highway at top speeds. You had the night air in your nostrils and the wind was blowing through her hair as the roof was down.

You were glad you got out tonight and did this instead of brooding. Plus you met this cute stranger so all was good.

"So anyways, thanks for the lift. I would've driven home myself but my car is being repaired"

"That's a bummer. I don't actually have one myself" She answered and took another draw of her cigarette.

You were confused beyond measure when she said this. She WAS driving a car, wasn't she? "Uh, then who's car is this?" You asked, half you curious and the other half not really wanting to know.

"My ex husband's, i stole it" She grinned.

You turned pale and immediately wanted to go home. "Stole? What do you mean stole?"

"Relax. The police dropped all charges. I only did it cos e kept stiffling me on child support"

"Alright" You answered quietly and said no more.

"Tonight is such a beautiful night" She grinned. "You wanna stop and enjoy the view somewhere?" She offered.

"Why not?" You really thought you had nothing to lose at this point. Stopped at one of Springfield's highest points and got out and you followed suit. You had never felt more at peace as when you were sitting there on the grass next to her and looking at all the lights and houses. Everything seemed so small from up here and you suddenly realised all of your problems weren't really that big after all. You both just watched and talked a little more before you both really had to go home.

"Alright" She sighed peacefully. "You want dropped off? Where do you live?"

She soon located your house and you drove off a little longer and by the end of the night you honestly didn't remember any of the problems you started with.

You smiled at her before getting out of the car. "Tonight was great" You said to her as you came to your house.

"We should do it again sometime...but not before i get back to my daughter" She grinned.

The moment was perfect and before you knew it, you were both just leaning in and kissed each other, softly and slowly.

"Well, goodbye" You waved softly.

"Good night to you too, (y/n)" She answered before hitting the pedals and speeding off again. You were both glad to have met that night and neither of you remembered your problems anymore.
