Laura Powers #2
You were walking back home from school. You should've been home half an hour ago, but you got caught up with some old friends and you didn't realise you'd been talking that long and had to rush home. You couldn't see your parents car in the driveway. "That's funny" you said to yourself. You pulled on the handle to let yourself in, but the door was locked. You realised that your parents must be out. Good thing you always carried a spare key. Came in handy in situations like this.
You unlocked the door and let yourself in, only to see your parents were gone and there was some strange teenage girl instead, presumably baby sitting your younger sibling.
You stared at each other for a moment before speaking up. "Uh, hello?" You said awkwardly.
"Yes, hello. In case you weren't aware, your parents away for the evening, a business meeting" the girl said politely.
"And who are you?" You asked, still unaware as to who she was.
"Laura Powers." She smiled and put her hand out for you to shake. "I'm baby sitting your little sibling over there"
"Oh. Well that clears things up" you scratched the back of your neck and sat down on the couch to get started on your homework.
You both sat there quietly for a while, before she offered you some help. "Need any help with that?" She asked as she noticed you seemed to be stuck on a question.
"Oh, uh, no thanks, I'll figure it out" you laughed sheepishly. She was an attractive girl with brown hair, dressed in a green jacket, black pants, a white top and sneakers.
"Alright then. By the way, what's your name?" She asked with a sly look.
"I'm (y/n)"
" Well, it's been great meeting you, (y/n) "
"It has" you smiled awkwardly, not really knowing what to say. You knew you had to say something to her so you could see her again. You couldn't let an opportunity like this pass. "Hey, um, would you like to meet up again some time? You know, to hang out" you offered.
She stared for a moment before giving her answer. "When you say hang out, I'm pretty sure you mean a date"
You sweated nervously.
"But I have no problem with that" she grinned. That was when your parents came back and opened the door. She quickly scribbled something down on a piece of paper and passed it to you.
"My number, call me" she winked before leaving
