Father Sean #1

"Milhouse, you have GOT to be kidding me!" Bart threw his hands about in annoyance at his friend.

"I'm sorry, Bart! That movie was too scary for me! Oh, man! I'm gonna have nightmares for weeks! I knew we shouldn't have went alone unsupervised to a film that requires parental guidance!" His stressed out friend answered, trying to cope with what he had just witnessed at the mildly horrifying movie.

"You are such a lamebrain" Bart scoffed. "And what's more is you ate all my nachos! I'm gonna starve now cos i told my mom not to wait for me or make any food for me!"

"I keep telling you, i'm sorry!" He frantically apologised but it seemed Bart's attention was on something else.

"Hey, look in there!" He exclaimed joyfully as he pointed to a small community building and saw people in the window with plates and a table with food. "Well i'm going there for something to eat, what about you?"

"No thanks, i gotta go home and put on some dry pants" He said shamelessly and ran off. "Catch up with you later!"

"I'm never going to the cinema with Milhouse again" Bart rolled his eyes before suddenly remembering the food he saw and so he entered the place and looked around. He could see tables, chairs and people at the community hall and the light chatter filled his ears but he wasn't listening to what anyone was saying as he just made an advance towards the table and prepared to take whatever goodies he could salvage. He put his little hand up to grab something, when his actions were cut short by the sound of someone calling him and catching him off guard.

"Bart! What are you doing here?" He stopped in his tracks as he heard the voice. The voice sounded surprised rather than angry and was strangely familiar. Bart turned around and to his surprise, saw there, standing before him, his old friend.

"Father Sean? Is that you? What are you doing here?" Bart asked with a smile and approached him, still chewing on the food he had pilfered.

"I could ask you the same thing. Don't you know where you are?"

"It would appear not, though it said community hall the last time i checked. What's going on here?" The kid says with a grin.

"Well that would explain it. It's just a small meet up we do here some nights, you know, for catholics" He smiled pleasantly and showed Bart around.

"Cool. Hey, wait a minute, where's your dog collar?" He asked as wondered how he never noticed this before.

"Oh, i forgot to tell you, i'm retired"

"So you don't teach anymore?" He asked as this information was all new to him.

"No, i don't, not anymore. I actually quit not that long after you left. You were a good student, do you ever miss the old place? How have you been doing recently?"

"Uh, i do, a little, sometimes. I went back to my old school, it's got nothing on catholic school, hey can we sit down and eat? I'm starved"

"Glad to hear it" He smiled. "And of course we can" He chuckled.

"So what's for eats? Pizza?" Bart licked his lips and looked around hopefully.

"Have you forgotten what day of the week it is?"

He looked around and saw what was on everyone's plates and got smelled the fishy scent. "Oh, yeah, i forgot" They both laughed at this and then got to talking.

"So what do you do now?"

"Eh, not much, still a lot of meetings and things like these but i was thinking of settling down now i'm retired"

"What, like getting married?"

"That sort of thing"

"Have you found anyone yet? Any girl you like in particular?"

"Well...there is one" His eyes trailed off and Bart looked behind him to see who he was looking at. It was you standing there with your plate of food, looking for somewhere to sit alone.

"Cool, she is cute" Bart whistled. "What's her name?"

"Well, i've never actually spoken to her yet" He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Well then it's time you should, let me help you" Bart said slyly as he got up and was off in your direction.

"Bart! Wait!" He called out after the boy but it was no use. He started sweating like a sinner in church and he prayed anxiously to every saint who ever lived as he assumed that only being a ten year old boy, Bart would be as subtle as a sledgehammer in breaking it to you, but that's where he was wrong. Bart was cool, smooth even.

"Excuse me, Ma'am" You heard a voice say and you looked down to see who it was. It was a little boy you had never seen here before.

"Oh, hey, kiddo! What is it?" You asked and smiled at him.

"Well i'm kinda new to this whole thing and i saw that you usually sit on your own and i wondered whether you wanted to sit with me and my friend?" He asked in a suspiciously innocent manner.

"Sure, why not?" He seemed like a sweet kid and so you accepted his offer and he led you to his table. You were expecting his friend to be another little kid, but boy, were you wrong.

"Well, here we are" He said, smiling like an angel. "This is my friend, Sean"

Your heart stopped when you saw him as you had had a crush on him for so long and now this was happening you didn't know what to do. You took a seat and you both sat there awkwardly grinning a forced grin at each other, but Bart was as cool as ever.

"So, lady, what's your name?" Bart asked as he chewed with his mouth open.

"It's (y/n), and you are?" You tried to make polite conversation with the kid so things wouldn't be so awkward.

"Bart Simpson, remember that name, you'll see it a lot when i'm older" He grinned.

He made some light conversation throughout his meal, but then checked his phone and instantly got up. "Oh crud, is that the time? My mom is gonna kill me! Sorry to be a party pooper but i gotta run, i'll leave you two to get better acquainted" He smiled and gave Sean a wink that you didn't see.

"Oh, great" You were both thinking as that left you two here like this.

"So" He started. "(y/n), isn't it?" He said, not really knowing what to say, though glad he now knew your name.

"Yeah"

"So what do you do, (y/n)?"

"Uh, well i'm between jobs at the moment but i used to be a nun" You confessed.

"Couldn't take the commitment?" He asked curiously.

"Well kinda, but truth be told i quit because i fell in love" You then realised how ridiculous this sounded. "Oh my gosh, that just sounds like the sound of music" Your cheeks burned up in embarrassment.

"There's nothing wrong with that, i've recently retired from priest status myself" He chuckled and seemed to see nothing wrong with it. "Where did you work as a nun?"

"St Jerome's catholic school" You answered.

He looked taken aback at this. "Actually that's where i used to work as well! as a priest!"

"I know" You smiled softly as really felt like you were in the sound of music now as the soundtrack repeated itself in your head.

"You know, i've never actually noticed you there before, strange" He wondered how you could've been there and he never noticed, but then again, it was probably easier to recognise you now you weren't dressed as a nun. "So, who's the lucky fella?"

"Oh, uh, i've never actually told him yet so he doesn't know" You answered awkwardly as sweat pours from your sweat holes. "How'd you know Bart?" You asked quickly changing the subject.

"Well he was actually one of the students at the school, i'm guessing you left before he was enrolled"

"i'd say so, cool little guy tho, ngl"

"He's definitely something"

You both talked with each other for a while and got to know each other and you realised how cool he was and you felt yourself falling harder and harder and he was glad to get to know you, though you never told him the real reason you left was because of your awkward crush. (Very sound of music, i know, and i'm gonna shut up about that awesome movie now)

The group finally came to an end and you both left the place in high spirits and you both knew you liked each other. Neither one felt tense now and you didn't feel awkward about the fact that you were now going to give the phrase, confessing to a priest, a whole new meaning.

"Hey, remember when you asked me who i fell in love with a said he didn't know?" You smiled.

"Yes, i do"

"Well you know now" You laughed softly and smiled at him.

"You...?"

"Yes, when we both worked at the school"

"And now i'm in love with you since noticing you at this group"

Your eyes lit up and you felt ecstatic! You threw your arms around him and kissed him before it started to rain.

"Oh! I must go now or i'll miss the bus home! See ya at the next meeting!" You quickly walked off and waved. He waved back and felt happy and thankful.

"And that's why you shouldn't doubt me" Bart grinned and appeared from behind a corner.

"Bart! I don't know what to say! Thank you"

"It was nothing" He smiled and like that he was off on his skateboard.
