You were sitting on the school bus, getting ready for school. Normally you couldn't be bothered with school, but today you had music class! You loved it as you loved music and always had a passion for it, and though the class wasn't really the best, it was still a good place to hone your musical talents.

While you were sitting on the bus, humming and moving about a little, you turned your head and looked at the other side, and then back, and then to the side again as you caught sight of someone out of the corner of your eye. It was a student you had never seen before. It was a boy about your age. He had red hair and a tie and was holding a guitar case,and then he turned and looked at you and smiled. You felt the heat rise to your cheeks as you realised you were staring, but then he waved to you, and you waved back at him. The bus then stopped in front of the school and that's when you got off, but he was lost in the crowd and you couldn't see him, though you kinda hoped that you would.

You smiled widely as you entered music class. You couldn't wait to let everyone hear just how your singing had improved since last time.

A few other kids sang and played their instruments first and then it was your turn. You were learning about notes and you felt you could reach a few more as you were getting better.

"Alright, (y/n), show the class what you've learned" Your teacher sighed as he looked like he was probably still recovering from a hangover or something.

"Of course, Mr Largo" You smiled and stood up. You cleared your throat and started singing a sweet song in a low, clear voice. The class listened intently with closed eyes to take it all in. Even your teacher was very impressed with you and felt soothed with your melodious voice.

You finished and you felt very proud indeed as everyone told you what a beautiful voice you have and you felt touched.

"Well, (y/n), you certainly ARE learning, not a note wrong,and what an angelic voice!" He said as he wiped a tear from his eye. "Please, go sit down"

You smiled wildly and took a seat on the floor and you felt the student beside you looking at you, and as you turned around, you it was him again, the cute kid on the bus!

"Alright, Colin, it's your turn" Your teacher said and the boy got up and he took his guitar with him. You listened in amazement as he played. You were good, but he was on another level. His music was enchanting, you thought, and you found yourself liking him even more now.

After class, it was lunchtime for you all, and as you sat down, you looked around for him. To your luck, he noticed you and sat down with you! This was your lucky day!

"Hello there" He said with a smile. He had an adorable Irish accent when he talked. "(y/n), isn't it?"

"yeah, that's me" You smiled awkwardly.

"I heard your singing today in class, you truly have a beautiful voice"

You blushed when he said this. "Oh, thank you! And it's Colin, right?" He shook his head when you asked him. "I heard you playing guitar, you were so great! I've never heard anyone play like that! Maybe except for professional musicians.

"Well thanks! But that's not all i play" And he went on to explain how he played so many other instruments and you listened intently when he told you about how his family had moved from Ireland to Springfield, and how his father was a musician and humanitarian, but was very quick to deny it's Bono. You thought he was really sweet and interesting and you told him about yourself as well. You both got on like a house on fire, and it was no surprise when he asked if you wanted to hang out after school. The school bell went off to let you all know lunch was finished, but he made it clear that he wanted to keep this conversation going.

"Well, i'll see you later, Colin" You said sadly as you departed.

"What a shame" He shook his head. "But why don't you come over to my house after school?" He offered.

"Your house?"

"Yes! Then we could have a jamming session! You know, me playing instruments and you on vocals!"

"I would love to!" You gasped in excitement.

"Great! Well then i'll see you after class" He let go of your hand as he left, and you eagerly waited for tonight, hoping your friendship would blossom into something more as you both clearly liked each other a lot.
