Buenos Noches
The blanket drew closer,
Your shoulders huddled to your neck.
Your day was over,
Your knees curled into your chest.
Nothing more to do but to secure a well deserved rest,
You got overwhelmed with genuine happiness.
There was just something about hearing the sound of the rain,
Which soothed your anger and numbed all the pain.
Raindrops started trickling down the window,
Plummeting to their death from the pitch-black sky.
You sank you head deeper into the pillow,
You curled your bottom lip and subconsciously cried.
A single tear came sliding down the side of your face,
For no apparent reason but why did it take place?
Were you so happy inside, you began to reflect and appreciate life,
Or did you snap back to reality and started thinking about things twice?
It's a question only you can answer,
but the answer, we'll never truly know,
For when we rise from our lonesome slumber,
The sunrise makes us forget the snow...
