The boys stopped talking in the group chat if it was only them. They all sat in the same room and Harrison had his head in his hands. Harry was spamming Essie with messages to try and get her to reply but she didn't.

Harrison felt awful.

"She'll be alright, give her time she's tired as well." Tom told his best friend.

Harrison sighed, "I know, it's just I hate upsetting her. It's different with Fra he can get offended and it won't be a big deal because he just brushes it off but Essie is quite sensitive. She's quiet and upsetting her is one of the worst things to do."

Sam furrowed his eyebrows, "go on," he was intrigued, so was Tom and Harry. Jacob was FaceTiming family and wasn't with them at the time and Zendaya and Laura were off on a girls day.

"Essie went three years without speaking because of people being horrible to her. It takes hours to get to the nearest town where their primary and secondary schools are and so she was always excited to go to school to see people. Yes, she's quiet and shy, she always has been but where they live other than our grandparents or the people that work on the farm there is no one around. At school she got to see people and but people didn't like her. They found her weird and bullied her. You know in movies how people get their heads shoved down toilets and things? How it doesn't seem realistic?

Well she got that in primary school. But she couldn't go home because of how far it was so she had to change into spare clothes from lost property and sit with dripping wet hair and had people laugh at her more. By the time it got to home time her hair had dried and the teachers didn't give a toss, they didn't tell my aunt and uncle and neither did Essie.

This went on for two years and in the end they pulled Essie out of school. They had someone homeschool her. Fra was the total opposite. He's mister popular and so he stayed at school. They tried putting Essie into secondary school but the same thing happened so she was taken out of school again.

The only friend she had was one boy and one girl from a camp that she went on in the summer for a week. You know slvtherins_ on Instagram and a girl I think she was called Kiera. Then Kiera stopped going to camp and so did Essie. She's so sensitive because of all of it so we were scared she was depressed at one point. Thankfully she wasn't. But I don't want to upset her because of it and now I think I have."

The three boys sat shocked. This was just unimaginable that a lovely girl like Essie would get that.

"Woah. I remember you mentioning that now." Tom said, "why don't you call her in a little while, give her some time. Stop worrying, she adores you, that's obvious. Plus, you're family."

"She told me family is everything to her. She won't hate you or anything." Sam added. Harry gave his brother a look which went unnoticed.

"I hope you're right."
