3- I never did like dinos
Hey guys, a little note here before the next chapter. I gave the dedication to my new friend, lpswarriorcat. We have decided to do some anti bully things, and would love for everyone to help! Anytime you see someone bullied, or cyber bullied, make sure to tell someone. If possible, get evidence of it. And try not to be a bully yourself. On a more positive note- here is the chapter!
"What do we do?", Abby asked frantically.
"I think we still could-", I started
"I don't know! We might be able to wipe it off?", Dylan asked.
"Uh, girls, I really think-"
"We can't! It would ruin the cake!", Abby replied.
"HEY!", I yelled, trying to get their attention. It worked. "We can still use it, the boys will like the extra frosting.", I finally got out.
"Hey, good idea! Why didn't you tell us earlier?", Dylan asked, completely oblivious to my attempts.
"Never mind", I replied, slightly annoyed. We went outside, where the party had moved. It was piñata time! We got in line, me, Abby, the Dylan. We were the last ones in line. But the piñata was cool; It was a green TRex with a purple stomach, and purple eyes. It was holding a dino egg- quite big- full with the candy. The dinosaur itself was empty, but it was designed tso you had to beat it up before you could reach the egg.
The boys got it pretty roughed up before it was my turn. Everybody got three turns to hit it, and I was gonna use mine well. I was three years older then most of these kids. The dino looked like it needed one more hit until the egg. I took the bat, and put on the blindfold. I hate blindfolds. Anyway, I got spun around five times, making me lose my bearings. But, being the smart people they are, my friends made sure to point me in the right direction, so I wouldn't hit anyone. I gathered my strength, and swung with all of it. I heard a crunch sound, annoncing I had hit my target. I heard a little whispering, but I ignored it. They were probably talking about my awesome skills. I took another swing, hearing a small cracking sound. I took one last swing, making the crack huge. I took off my blindfold and handed it to Abby, who grabbed the bat as well. I grabbed a Walmart bag for candy, knowing she would probably destroy it. I never did like dinos. Their mean. Swing one! Candy comes bursting out like water of a spring. I dash forward, just as I feel a slight tap on my shoulder. Oh well, probably my imagination. I grab up a lot of candy, but get it slower then I could for the younger kids. After I got my candy (which was after five seconds), I dashed up and ran. Well, tried to. This (cute) guy was in my way. I may or my not have ran into him.
"AHHH!", I screamed. Not only do I have boy germs, but I dropped my candy! I pounced to it, gathering it into a pile, then finally into my bag.
"Sorry", Mr. Candy-Dropper said. I sent him a glare.
"How dare you! Making me drop my candy! Who do you think you are?", I yelled. Then I stopped off. I didn't want to here anything he had to say. That little jerk. Well, fourteen year old jerk. Cute fourteen year old jerk. No! Don't think he is cute! I argued with myself to the living room.
So what if he was a little cute? He made me spill my candy. What if somebody would have gotten some? I got angry at the thought. I started thinking about it when someone walked in.
"Hey, sorry about that", a deep voice said. I turned around to see him. I popped a snickers in my mouth.
"I could have lost this because of you", I replied.
"I know, but I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Daniel Summers, Harpers older brother.", he said. Harper was the other girl at the party. She is Jayden's best friend.
"Ok. Well, I'm Zoey Williams.", I replied.
"Nice to meet you. I came to pick up Harper, and when I saw the piñata, I realized I was early. I decided to stay for a while, and I saw you swing. I just have never seen anyone swing that hard before, especially not a girl", he said. I almost blushed. Wait, what?! I do NOT blush from a boy. Absolutely not.
"Well, thanks.", I replied simply. He walked over to sit on the couch, just as Dylan and Abby walked in.
They looked over to us, and decided automagically that we were having a moment.
"Sorry to irrupt, we'll just be leaving", Dylan giggled, pulling Abby back outside. I had to look away from Daniel, because I did blush this time. He was bursting out laughing. I started laughing to, because he has a contagious laugh.
"Sorry about them, they are something", I said between laughs.
"Hey no problem. You should see my friends", he replied.
"Here, text me", I said, handing him a piece of paper with my number.
"K"
"Well, I better head home, mom is gonna kill me"
"Ya, I better get Harper home, too"
"Bye"
"Bye"
And with that, we both went home. One thing I just learned- we live across the street.
