2- Cake boss
"Base coat is done!", I exclaimed. We decided to do a baseball theme, seeing as the birthday boy is on the team.
"Ok, now we need the fondant for the field", Dylan replied.
"Rodger that", Abby said, bringing the tray of figureines over.
"Ok, we need that one here, then the second one here, and just follow suit", I guided Dylan, who had the steadiest hand, therefore most qualified for the job. She lay the fondant down, while Abby and I worked on the cupcakes, which are decorated like baseballs. I think it was turning out good. We made about twenty cupcakes by the time the cake was done. We moved it to the table, then went to the party. It was full of little boys, except for two girls, one I knew to be his crush.
"Aw, Jayden looks cute!", I said.
"Ya, she really does", Abby replied, looking at the floor.
"What's wrong?", I asked her.
"Well, you know that boy, Eric?", she asked in a lowered voice.
"You mean the soccer player?" Dylan replied.
"Well, I saw him ask out Jessica! That little drama queen only said yes because I was there! She knows I have a crush on him", Abby said on the verge of tears.
"It's ok, Abbs, we can still have fun today. Then me and Zoey can get revenge on both of them", Dylan said with a evil look in her eye.
Ding! I just had an idea. "Hey, we still need to clean the kitchen. You know, before your mom kills us", I told them, dashing to get their first. I quickly swiped up a purple froster, and hid behind the table. Then I waited. Silently, like a lion waiting for her prey. I ducked a little lower and braced myself for action when I heard footsteps.
"Hey, where did Zo- ", Dylan started, before getting a glob of icing to the face.
"You'll never catch me alive, coppers!", I yelled, while squirting some on Abby. They swiftly grabbed them each one, Abby getting blue, and Dylan getting red. They were both out to get me, so ran into the living room and hid amongst the ten-year-olds. I held my icing closely, knowing they could be anywhere. I made my way around, knowing I needed to change positions often. Wait, I thought, why am I hiding? I should be stratigising. With a quick 360, just to make sure they weren't right behind me, I started looking for them. I walked back into the kitchen, stethily hiding behind a chair. I waited, and waited, and waited, until finally Abby came back in, followed by Dylan. That's when I had the perfect opportunity.
"DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE!", I yelled, covering them in purple frosting.
"Ahh! Zoey, I am going to kill you!", someone said, I couldn't tell who. So Dylan went around to my backside, and I pretended not to notice. Then, at the last second, I jumped aside, causing both if their streams of red and blue to hit each other. So then we all just aimed at each other. Five minutes later, we were all completely covered in frosting, but so was the kitchen. We threw out our trash, and all went to clean a part of the kitchen. I got the doorway.
"Uh, guys?", Dylan said.
"Ya?", we both replied.
"Look."
Oh crud.
The cake was covered in purple, red, and blue frosting.
Oops.
