The next Try/Fail cycle will take the character even further from their goal. It leads to their darkest moment. They try something new and end up feeling like they will never get to where they're trying to be. Think of this as a No-And scene.

NO, they did not make any progress toward their goal, AND in fact, they are even further away from it.

Cycling back to the Star Wars example above, what do Luke and Han try next? They try to shoot their way out of the garbage bin. Does that work? NO, they are still stuck in the bin, AND, now they've woken up a hungry creature.

Instructions: Set the timer for five minutes and write five sentences that set up another Try/Fail cycle, but this time as a No-And scene.
