Somehow, I stumbled onto Brandon Sanderson's YouTube series where he talks about writing fantasy, science fiction, and thrillers. He posts videos from his university lectures, has guest speakers, and does some Q&A sessions. I found him when someone recommended the guest appearance of Mary Robinette Kowal talking about creating flash fiction. So, I dug up Lecture #7 and watched it all the way through taking notes and finishing the Flash Fiction Exercise that Ms. Robinette Kowal walks her viewers through in the presentation.

It was really enlightening so I thought I would share some of my notes and my end piece of flash fiction which I named Simon Starjumper.
